If they make a new Quake, leave the future stuff to the Doom series and make a direct sequel to the original game. As for Rage, well, learn from your mistakes and move on iD.

I really thought these games were terrible. I do not see the value of playing a game where I hold a job as a forklift operator, where the combat is some pathetic excuse for a Virtual Fighter clone, and a story spread so thin it was supposed to be like 10 games until it concluded.

I only enjoyed Omikron and mildly enjoyed the first half of Fahrenheit.
It is a Quantic Dream game. They suffer from 2 faults.
1. A terrible lead writer.
2. Ambition they lack the talent to match.
It doesn't surprise me one bit if the game is undergoing some troubles.

More Lovecraft is a good thing but I think he's gathered too many "fans" who've never read his stories and only know of Cthulhu from the internetz. They've turned Lovecraft into a cliche of aquatic and tentacled gods despite how much more his stories have to offer.
And normal controllers are fundamentally superior input devices.
Mouse and keyboard are fundamentally different than controllers, but fundamentally offer more control options than a normal controller.
