Or at least judge them the way so many others on this site do...using the all-mighty Metacritic! The two main games here are rated 73 and 82 costing $15 and $20 respectively. But you know, let's bring on the 54 metacritic Knack because it is AAA!
He's saying people haven't touched these games, and they are included, so no reason not to try them before complaining. Your comment implies the only games worth being on Plus are the ones people have already bought. Well that wouldn't make a lot of sense, would it? If anything the fact that more people hadn't played these games gives a higher chance of there being value as a larger percentage of gamers won't be getting a game they've already spent money on...right?
I feel like there's a joke here that is just whooshing by me...
You are "only" interested in $35 worth of games rated at 73 and 82 Metacritic ratings? Well, this month is a complete waste then, huh. Pure, Sony-laughing-in-fans-face-hor rible!
And in regards to Gold's offerings, Plus owners got Sleeping Dogs back in 2013, Outlast in 2014 & Outland in 2012 in the USA (Burnout was giving in EU back in 2011). No one makes noise about the fact that these are games Plus has gotten and are all old games to boot. It literally ...
Yea, I gave up waiting. Grabbed it through GOG recently for like...$10. It just doesn't seem to get cheaper than that. Of course now that I've bought it it'll show up in a bundle lol. But it is so worth it if you enjoy old school platformers, especially to support a developer like Yacht Club. They put out a great game and then gave a huge free update (which they state they put $1 million into) which I feel they could have sold as $5 DLC & would've been a good value. Not to...
I demand better!...while paying an amount I couldn't even get a value meal at McDonald's for. If I don't get $300 worth of games for $3 then Sony has failed me. Failed themselves. They should be embarrassed.
It's all posturing though. People don't care if the games given are quality or not. They care if they are KNOWN games so they can boast about them. People want freakin' KNACK for gods sake! There are games even in this month right here that the a...
I'll take the positivity! It's painful how little of it there is to be found in here...WE'RE TALKING GAMES PEOPLE! THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO MAKE YOU HAPPY!
I'm sad that people have such a binary view of things. If this isn't exactly what I want, it is pure garbage. If you look at some of the games, what their scores are, and what the MSRP of those games are, you can see your $3-5 per month (depending on how much you bought your Plus membership for) is more than worthwhile.
Stories is not garbage. I had that on my Steam wishlist. It's a game that is $15 and hasn't been sold for less than $10. Invisible Inc is a ...
Hm. Not sure why I was downvoted given I seem to share the same opinion as everyone else here. I must have phrased it poorly. A game that isn't that old in comparison to PS4s age, it was that generations best, and that game came 7 years after that generation started. So shouldn't PS4 be given a similar amount of time for such an excellent, defining game to come to the platform? I'm sure no one will see this now, but figured it was worth saying.

Lol I guess I should start a gaming website! I found that deal and posted it in one of the comment sections on a NMS article and PMed it to a guy when asked directly about how I got that price...but turns out I could have made an article instead!
For anyone interested in getting the used copy for $12, this is how. Keep in mind the discount is Cyber Monday based so if you are checking this later, the deal may be dead.
1st check out Amazon here: https://goo.gl/tb84kE
Amazon Warehouse should be the first seller listed. Add to cart and go to checkout. You'll see "holiday25" coupon is automatically added to your cart and brings the total...
I'm having a bit of a hard time figuring out your stance here. Are you saying that you think the $60 investment was worth it given the promise it had and this update, with the promise of more to come, falls in line with your investment mindset/approach? Or are you saying that these updates are not inching closer to what was promised, and is thus not a worthwhile update for those knocking the game for what it was missing? I get the impression your opinions aren't emotionally driven, an...
$25 at BB currently, but $20 at Amazon and GS. With this update and promised future updates, I'm considering giving it a shot. Most of the times I've waited to pick up a game like this (one that had launched with high hopes but ended up largely crapped upon) and bought later for $20 or under, I ultimately end up enjoying a fair bit thanks to improved value proposition and gutter low expectations going in lol.
I didn't see a lightning deal or anything for it, though I see it for $20. Did a deal slip by me? But with this update, I'm considering grabbing it now for $20 as a gamble on it being worth it after it's been patched up...but still not sure, especially with my neverending backlog continuing to mount by the purchase.
It all makes sense to me, I'm not sure the problem here. I don't think they ever said there wouldn't be some Day-1 patch, just that what they would have been including in the now-month-old Day-1 patch needed to be included on the disk.
Ensuring core things are functional, performance is good and features launch unbroken for the game arriving "on disk" is what their aim was. No game is ever going to release and then not have patches afterward. Imagine i...
If it grows the userbase, then it is worth it. You only get support on products with a good install base, and the Wii U didn't really have it. If this is something that makes the Switch appealing to people who didn't buy the Wii U then I'm all for it. I've enjoyed my Wii U enough to have found it worthwhile, but it definitely didn't get the support it could have.
I mean, this way people get to experience games they didn't before while increasing the ...
I'm actually pretty terrified that that much damage was able to be caused by one man with a petty grudge and a (relatively) insignificant sum of money. What happens to the net when an actual group of people put their effort into an attack with more sophisticated methods, more money, and are driven by a vendetta fueled by something far less petty?
Truly chilling.
I know this comment is on the late side to the point of being potentially pointless, but the Wii U didn't sell a ton and most people are going to be looking to pick up a Switch over Wii U to play the new Zelda on. It may not be a huge differentiator for you and me (assuming by your statement you are also a Wii U owner), but there are plenty of people where this is a big deal and they won't buy into the console until Zelda launches. The longer the install base takes to show up, the mor...
All hast to do with framing and headlines. If the headline was "Skryim Creator & Head Honcho at Bethesda Sings Switch's Praises", you'd get more traction in here. But it's like everything here...and the Internet in general, sadly. Negative is more fun, so - by and large - it gets more clicks and more comments. People seem to enjoy crapping on things far more than they like ego-stroking.
Also I think some of the hate is misplaced, coming down to how...
Why are these games trash? Some of them are kind of throwaway, but not all of them. The 2 PS4 games are solid...why do people keep saying trash? Is "trash" synonymous with "not-AAA"?
