I guess the stories have a couple shared "beats", but when I read that I couldn't help but have my first thought be "I do find it strange...because Zelda basically has no story". Pretty much. XX is literally just Generations (known as X in Japan) with a few new features added. Instead of being at best a patch or at worst DLC, they did the "even worse" move of slapping XX on a box and locking those handful of new trinkets behind a full game paywall. I find that such an appalling practice. While its fine for newcomers, it's simply awful for loyal fans...I mean, you can literally move your save data over from Generations, that's how similar it is.

I've wanted to play this game too, and while emulating is obviously an option, I tend to only do that with games I own so this provides an interesting option. I'll have to look into it and see what makes sense between grabbing an eBay copy or grabbing this - I do like the idea of playing it on the newer/larger screened hardware.

Also yea, this is a pretty silly article. Just about every game can be a secret multiplayer game with things like MiiVerse and PS4 communities. Kinda bizarre way to just try and say it's a game people like sharing their information and experiences about.
I'd be more inclined in this game if more of your traversal skills could be upgraded as the game went on: mainly being able to increase how fast you can climb and the ability for you to call your horse from anywhere. The former far more so than the latter though.

I just picked up Mirror's Edge Catalyst for $10...I've enjoyed what I've played over the last few hours. I'm not sure why the game got such a bad rap, I really enjoyed the first one and held off to grab this at a reduced price given the lukewarm to poor reception it received overall...but I'm not sure why. Yea, low challenge and low reward too. I killed one early to get the juicy gear off its neck and was disappointed. All you have to do is do a backwards dodge and then hit flurry. Back dodge, hit flurry. You can ping a few arrows to the eye for good measure, but they are too slow to hit back and easy to dodge.

@DragonKnight I don't...um...there's nothing to suggest Martians and humans can have sex because, insofar as we know, Martians don't exist. So it might make exobiological sense...but it might also not. And it would seem Martians in BioWare's universe do have exobiological compatibility so the alien/human humpty dance is all systems go. Yea, it's sad. I have to play Rocket League with voice & text chat off so I can actually enjoy the game. You can even just play unranked exhibition games and if you aren't on your game you can expect to get shat on about half the time. It drives me nuts. So I have to miss possible useful communication from my team mates just so I don't have to deal with the toxicity...I can't even imagine what it would be like in a competitive shooter.
