You can always find deals, his point is that it seems crazy that Nintendo has never dropped the MSRP lower. Given its struggles you'd assume they'd try to move units, but I'm guessing the math on attachment rate must not have lined up for it to make fiscal sense for them.
I found a Wii U deal for the LoZ WW HD bundle with Wonderful 101, Ninja Gaiden and a couple accessories for $269.99 which I bought in January of 2014. If I could get that deal then it seems a b...
More than a fair few, in fact. When Crytek couldn't pay employees and massive turnover happened, RSI scooped up huge numbers of these guys. It shifted the dynamic of how things were being developed between the different studios at different locations which caused problems of their own.
Saw the article summary on PC Gamer, then read the source Kotaku UK article. Quite an interesting read. Makes you realize just how far off this game really is, and makes you further ques...
I don't normally throw a lot of shade when it comes to pricing, but given this was a small-team effort done over 9 months and is, by this site's account, a pretty meager experience meant to tie up loose ends and bridge the games together...does $29.99 really feel like an appropriate price for this?
For Destiny diehards, perhaps. For guys like me who played through TTK & never got invested in Destiny, this seems like a poor value & investment. A cheaper buy-...
They've rebounded nicely, that's for sure. For a time AMD was the one giving out AAA games while Nvidia focused on in-game currency for popular F2P MOBA games and the like. These types of deals suit me better. When I got my GTX 970, I got The Witcher 3 for free - nice value add indeed.
I'm less inclined to grab GoW4, but if another good game gets included with a Pascal card (and when supply/demand evens out & they finally start selling at MSRP) I could certa...
I honestly get the impression he had ideas that he believed to be feasible, or ideas he was actively developing when he went on talk shows and the like. It's rare that an actual developer is also the PR "face" of the company.
So I think he ended up talking about things he may have been prototyping or whatever, was ultimately too open about features without regard for the fact things were not yet finalized. He seems like a very good guy - I could be wrong, but...
lol
What are you running that gets you 19 tflops? I see a Titan XPC is about 11 tflops and a 1080 is about 9 tflops, so even in SLI I can't figure what you're running. Just curious.
The MSRP of your monitor is like 30% more expensive than the PS4 Pro. The GPU or GPUs you are running cost probably, what, 3 times as much? I'd guess to get proper performance out of them, you are running a CPU that is as, or more, expensive than the PS4 Pro. Are you going to crap on a P...
Not a knock, just a question of curiosity...why does that mean it isn't a quality article? You don't think Nintendo needs to bring its A-Game with their new console launch? I feel like pretty much every company needs to do that, but after the troubles with Wii U it seems like "need" is a bit more warranted this time around - if for positive mindshare, if nothing else. Their warchest is substantial, but if they don't nail this it would be pretty harmful.
For what it is worth, you can also snag this game on PC via Steam.
Still, I'm considering getting it for my Vita because I enjoyed playing GE on my PSP and it fit pretty well, but figured I'd throw that out there so if someone read this they knew PC was an option as well.
Probably not old enough to be familiar with Sega's advertising back in the day: "Sega does what Nintendon't". Here's a magazine advert for ya. Or just Google the phrase. You'll see a ton of old adverts.

I'm saying this as a Sony fan and one approving of their strategy with the Pro. I'd say the Meeting lowered the excitement a little. Remember how Sony handled E3? This was anti-E3. It was people reading from scripts, it was joyless and emotionless. I like Sony and was excited to see what they'd show off. But this was dry and boring, and ultimately off-putting.
I think the console, when you drill down to what it is and the cost it is, is actually a very good deci...
Thankful this game was gifted to me. I've found it a pretty middling survival game with godawful performance even on my more than respectable PC. Turn down setting to get a good framerate and it is just ugly.
Now this DLC thing? I'm pretty underwhelmed all around with this game and developer. Don't get why this game is so popular with so many flaws and many better games out there worthy of your hard earned cash.
I'm with you there. I'm also holding out a small hope that either Sony or an industrious hacker-type can get PSVR running on PC. Sony hasn't ruled it out and the developer/hacker community is quite good at getting things like this to work. Would be great to be able to play the PSVR exclusive content and have access to the PC VR content as well for one comparably affordable piece of hardware.
Right, I didn't mean list it right now. I meant close to release, or once it is actually in your hands. I won't bother making the decision until after it is in my hands.
I had a similar conundrum a long time back with a Legend of Zelda limited edition 3DS preorder I sold on eBay. Best Buy ended up canceling my order only days before it released and I had the headache of refunding the buyer and smoothing that over. I won't try selling anything anymore before it...
I know people frown upon it, but when people fall on hard times I have even less issue with it...consider selling it on eBay for a tidy profit. If you can make room on your credit card, odds are you'll make more than a few bucks reselling it to those that are obviously not on hard times given they are going to pay above cost on an already not cheap device. I'm in a similar boat. I can afford the headset, but I'm not exactly swimming in it. It's a tough choice, but one I'm ...
It does look pretty good, I'm hopeful it's a solid game. Especially at $40, I love good deals almost as much as good games.
HOWEVER, I'm not sure I'd say that ReCore looks like it has "true platforming". Most of what I saw up there looked like canned animations when the hook/grapple came out, the jump (with landing circle) at 0:47, the robot carrying her along the predefined path a few seconds after...
The combat seems...actually...
It's kinda funny to say you feel good about being a PC gamer - PC being a platform which doesn't even have the game - in an article complaining about minor DLC trinkets not coming to a platform which actually has the game. Don't really care, just find it chuckle worthy lol
I don't support one platform over another. I just don't understand why people can't have camaraderie in being gamers rather than trading jabs with people who game...but on a differ...
Huh, didn't even know this was launching on PS4 already.
Considering the whole point of Pokemon GO is running out and about in the world, the NX would have to have free data backed by one of the big wireless providers. NX is not a realistic option for Pokemon GO.
I've read quite a few practices are using VR and AR for that very purpose as we speak. You can even grab apps for speaking in front of audiences from the GearVR store and the like right now and try it out in your own home. It is an interesting format for sure.
