I don't think "journalists" will ever learn. Let's take a look at this shall we? I'm a gamer. Those that bother to read gaming news? Gamers. By saying "are gamers too entitled" is literally asking "are you too entitled"? Are there some that are? Unquestionably and undeniably so. But when you ask it like that it just makes your entire readership feel like you are giving them shit and it's you versus them. Would be wise to rephrase questions like th...
It is a fine game indeed. And if anyone has a modest PC and wants to save some scratch, you can get Galak-Z with a couple other games in the $1 tier on Humble Bundle right now. Between bundles and PS Plus I have more games than any sane person can handle lol.
I wouldn't mind, if for no other reason than to kill a dank meme lol.
Uematsu in addition to Kenji Ito. Kenji did music for SaGa and Sword of Mana, so no slouch either. Not sure of the division of labor, but should be a well rounded soundtrack either way. I have it on PC, and what I heard was pretty good, but I didn't get too far into it (not a knock against the game, I have gaming ADHD and swap game routinely after a couple of hours lol).
And so by association...you are a casual console gamer? Seems odd to put yourself down.
And your 2015 PC launch title was a 2013 iPhone launch title...whoops!
I'm just ribbin' ya. It's a fine enough game though. I had it on my watch list for iOS for a while but wouldn't pay $8.99 for it - I have a hard time spending that kind of money on phone/tablet apps lol. But I got Oceanhorn in a Humble Bundle and it's a solid game. It didn't blow my mind or anything, but for being a mobile ported to PC it is pretty impressive.
FYI, DreamScreen is actually just the smart LED backlighting which are strips of LEDs you can attach to the back of your TV. That's why this video is panned out so far, so you can see the color changes - it's not the screen itself or anything. I'm not sure I really see the value in it, but it's kinda cool I guess. For me it's not $180 worth of cool, but still kinda neat.
I think my character total shows like 1400 combined hours. I haven't played in months and I didn't pick it up until juuust before RoS launcehd. So my problem isn't so much the shallowness, rather I just don't think any game can possibly be fresh forever and I finally got burned out. Ultimately a great game and money well spent (after patches/expansion of course).
Yea, but given he's Patreon supported, he also needs to make noise to be noticed. I'm not saying that this review has anything to do with that or anything, just that it's silly to think just because he doesn't have ads that he doesn't have a reason to have clickbaity/divisive things on his site.
PC gamers are also a part of the "PC Master Race" who take every chance to shit on everything console based. See, I can be reductive too. Don't allow the noisy zealots of games or platforms to form your opinion of everyone associated with those things. I don't imagine that Steam users will be any more or less "honest" than the PS4 reviews we've read so far.
I'm still not sold on this game either way, I almost pulled the trigger on buying...
Not that I can remember. I don't pay much attention to him for pretty much that reason.
Different strokes for different folks and all, but I can't stand Jim Sterling. He is as thin skinned as they come, goes rolling into comment sections on his site and lets himself get riled up by trolls and his responses are pretty petty. Haven't checked him out in a while admittedly, so maybe he's better than he was. But he's always seemed like one of those inherently negative people that shit on the majority of things because negativity and snark are more entertaining.
Delays do not necessarily mean lazy. There have been rights reacquisitons and such, so hard to know what kind of contractual red tape and whatnot was getting in the way. Tequilaworks previous title "Deadlight" was pretty solid, so I don't doubt the devs themselves. Article also says the team grew 40% and moved to a new office, so more time there. Just seems like another mix of teased too early and delays making things seem worse than they are.
Edit: Though if...
Also worth keeping in mind for anyone interested, that this game is going free-to-play on August 24th ( http://goo.gl/AOY2Dn - PCGamer article) so this is just a temporary thing to let people in before that happens. This will not be the last time you can get it for Zero Dollars and I don't think having this will grant you any benefits or upgrades come the time it goes f2p in a few weeks.
I don't understand why people seem to think disagrees mean people are calling your statement false. I believe you are excited and I'd wager people aren't disagreeing that you are excited, people are disagreeing because *they* aren't excited. If it was just a fact/fiction button, any opinion based comment would always need to be upvoted because there'd be nothing to disagree with.
In terms of the game, I was pretty hyped about it. Then I played the Platin...
I agree with you, I think it is a crazy notion. Doubly so for me since I own a gaming PC and MS has murdered the value the XBONE had before it removed hardware exclusivity for practically all the games I bought it for. Also wish I could do something else with my One other than trade it for a smaller One.
But CookieAddiction gave a decent explanation as to why at least a niche selection of people might. Sad that with a pretty balanced, non-inflammatory (non-spam) response he...
It'd only net you $100 though. I think that if you are someone that likes to go back and replay games, or are a collector of any kind that is almost insultingly low. I mean, I guess if you don't play it or only like a few exclusives then punting it for $100 may be better than nothing, but for someone like me I'd keep it. Especially since - as a PC gamer - MS has made my XBOX One purchase completely worthless so I already kind of question buying a XBONE in the first place. Bummer ...
Maybe you are thinking of Robert "Bob" Richards from Tekken?...the caricature of Americans: https://goo.gl/Q6mdd9
Also in terms of "Ken Doll Effect"...I think that is a flawed comparison. We see a male fighters bulge in certain outfits because he has a penis. Sure, checks out. We see her bulges because she has breasts. OK, we've got parity. We DO NOT see the outline of his penis because...why would ...
I know right!? First the digital pokies, then who knows...next on the block could be our freedom! I never knew we were one anti-nip away from complete civil collapse!!!
Maybe Cammie decided her digital nips were chaffing too much and she put little covers over them. #realism. Come on guys, save the outrage for the times outrage is truly warranted. And for what it is worth I am a man...and I like boobs...and nipples. But pokies in a videogame aren't needed. Having them a...
It is basically a Let's Play. It's a random guy's channel who streamed 4 hours of beta gameplay. It's not the dev or publisher putting this out as a way to promote as you suggest below. So it's just gameplay, watch however much you feel like you need to see to make your decision - be it 30 minutes or 4 hours.
