Considering the vast majority of VR users on PlayStation would be PSVR1 owners, even if PSVR2 launched, I simply think they aren't going to let when PSVR2 launches dictate when they'd release the game. I wouldn't use that as the barometer for whether PSVR2 is coming out this year.
Lol at the disagrees. Didn't say I agreed with it or not, just stating what was in the freakin' article :-p
They were talking about the momentum of the Xbox end of year releases, like Psychonauts 2, Flight Simulator, Halo: Inf, & Forza Horizon. They first half of the year was dry, but the 2nd half was decent. The article is saying they simply don't have much going on for them this year, though, so the game momentum dropped off pretty hard. Especially compared to what the competition is showing they've got in the pipeline.
Yeah, here ya go:
"Microsoft added that the addition of Activision Blizzard would make it the world's third-largest game company by revenue, behind only Tencent and Sony."

I was really interested in this, but $60 seems way too steep. This feels like it would be $30-40 on any other platform.
Am I just out of line here? I just don't feel like a game like this has the kind of development budget behind it to justify that kind of price tag.
Interesting! I just looked this up, not having owned a Lite, and see you're right. I realize that a lot of the media available says "no" for games like 1-2 Switch, but they clearly must have meant just in handheld mode. Further digging showed me you could sync them & play those games.
Gaming media failed me? Color me shocked lol.
Are you outside the US by chance? A quick glance showed me FE:3H was in stock for $49.99 new at GameStop & Target.
I'll be very curious to see how this ends up doing, performance wise. I played on my base PS4 for a ton of time, but it wasn't the smoothest experience. Given the Switch is not as powerful, gotta wonder what optimizations & nips/tucks they'll make to get it to run well. Still, very cool.
No argument, but the timing is kind of funny. You'd imagine they could have done this at any point, but if they really saw themselves as competing with Switch then I assume they would have held off. And the extra bit of money from this isn't exactly going to move the needle much on Vavle's balance sheet given all that Steam money lol.
Yeah, it's really strange. And the standalone copies for Golden Country are absolutely mental. Don't care so strongly about that, guessing that is a thing that ended up a limited print that collectors are overvaluing. But they should certainly at least still have XBC2 available. The fact it is still MSRP of $60 is kinda crazy to me, but the fact I can't even get it for that is crazier.
It's also curious as to how that affects the old games' price as well. Certain games retain their pricey-ness given limited copies of an old product. But others, it just mangles their price.
Like XBC on Wii was shooting into the stratosphere on the 2nd hand market, then it hit the Wii eShop and the prices plummeted. You can get XBC for Wii cheaper than a used copy of XBC2 for Switch, for crying out loud. Wonder which way this one will go.
At some point, with older games, it isn't so much scalping as it is limited supply and increased demand for either playing or collecting. Retro gaming is getting more expensive by the year, but I'm not sure I'd call it scalping.
Does he have no other platforms? As it showed at the end, it'll be on PC, last gen, and current gen. Not to dissuade him from a Switch purchase, but it isn't required for this at least.
I don't think so, unless things changed. I recall games like 1-2-Switch basically were sold as incompatible with Lite.
I was truly prepared for this to be more like a $20-40 title, but preorder shows $60? It looks like a smaller downloadable title, not a $60 full release. It's kinda crazy they put this as the same value as BotW & Odyssey. Honestly not trying to rain on anyone's parade who is stoked for this. It does look fun, but I don't think I'll ever fully understand Nintendo.
Cool. Maybe make sure we can buy XBC2 physically at some point soon? I was planning to play it, but I don't want to buy digitally & I'm not paying the inflated prices it is going for now because...I guess Nintendo stopped making copies? It isn't in stock, new, anywhere at MSRP. Can't see playing 3 before 2, so hopefully they get on that soon.
Feels like one more (small) example of how Valve does not see itself competing with the Switch. In the weeks before its own machine launches, they port 2 of their own titles to the other platform.
Yeah, I'm not sure what they're talking about. I thought perhaps I had misremembered & the Direct was today, but double-checked & it is indeed tomorrow. Looked it up, and there's tons of speculation, but no actual announcement. Appears somehow the author took all the chatter leading up to the Direct as meaning an announcement must have happened, which is a weird leap to take lol.
They are blind to easy adds like folders for over a year, so I do worry about other things...at least other things that aren't social options. I wish they just integrated Discord, let them handle all that nonsense, and got back to improving the entire console experience.
I love puzzle games, and consider myself a pretty intelligent fellow, but this game makes me feel like a complete idiot lol.
