You can find pretty affordable options for Puppeteer on eBay. The price dropped hard for some reason not too long ago. Can get disc only options for like $45, and like $60+ for disc in box.

Not only does this dig make no sense, but it isn't true. GT Sport rated a 75. If you mean mainline, GT6 rated 81.

I was far more interested in this back in 2018, when Diablo 3 still had some of my attention. I'm not going to completely disregard this when it launches. I'll definitely give it a try, but they announced this thing simply way too early. 4 year gap between announcement & launch is beyond massive for any game. But for a mobile one? That's unprecedented.

I really enjoyed the older games. And while the gameplay in KH3 was solid, the writing was practically unbearable. Sometimes up to like a dozen cutscenes in a row that could contain truly cringe-worthy dialog. I hope they can improve that for 4 - it was the biggest barrier, to me, for enjoying 3 in all honesty.

And hopefully they remember Square/FF stuff can be in there. I enjoy the Disney/Pixar stuff a bunch, but felt like the former was quite absent in 3 compared to earl...

FWIW, in case you didn't know, the grandfathered status is no longer a perk. Things changed, so everyone just pays $12 and gets everything now.

I was also in the same boat, and mostly didn't even want to chance pausing it for fear of screwing something up and losing the "Classic" plan. This month is pretty bad, given all the stuff I've gotten from previous bundles or giveaways, so I'll likely skip this month. Since we're all drowning in games w...

Was kind of hoping for real talk, rather than an Unreal Engine PR piece.

I'm guessing the real reason is, after CP2077 they realized having a proprietary engine meant you could only throw so many developers at a problem, as anyone new had to get caught up. Make your game in 3rd party, and you've got tons of 3rd party tools and a pool of talent to pull from. My guess, anyway.

Well, thanks for replying. Funny people disagreed with trying to figure out when units would ship out lol. Given we are in Q2, as this article was commenting on, I was trying to gauge how close any of us were to getting it. Kinda like the EVGA Queue Tracker, but with way less data lol.

Hopefully we don't have to wait to long to get ours.

Still haven't gotten my order email, though I'm curious. I just checked my preorder confirmation email:

July 16th at 2:34pm EST.

That sounds pretty much about right for when I was finally able to get my preorder pushed through. Anyone earlier than that that has or hasn't gotten their order email? Maybe we can get a sense for how far away we are in the queue.

I agree that he seemed easy. I'm interested in trying him again in a new playthrough, since I'm going to do no summons the next time through. Radahn went down the first time I fought him, and I just felt like it was mainly due to how much of his attention I could get to be on other people. I also feel like I had my dodge game on point, and that also helped a ton (note - this is not a common occurrence lol).

I think my second run is going to involve exponentially mo...

See theinidarmy post above, clicking the link from the tweet actually does work. So if you're interested, give it a shot.

Good catch. I even almost went ahead and did it, but I question if I really, truly need any more games to play than I already have lol. I tend to kind of underutilize subscription game services.

Subtle storytelling, I suppose would have been a better term. I don't feel like Elden exactly stands out compared to previous Souls games in its atmosphere or subtle storytelling, and it is in that way I'm not sure what GRR did. It feels like it was more like "stunt casting", in a way.

I'm sure he added something, but was it worth whatever he costs? I'm curious. Especially when a writer, who is paid as much for what they write as the world they cr...

Story takes a massive backseat to everything else in SoulsBorne games. I mean, I'm still not quite sure what they paid G.R.R. to do for Elden lol. Maybe there's some intangible there, I don't know, but it feels kinda like a waste of money to get these big named authors when the story isn't more prominent.

Also, to be clear, I see the score was changed to say 10/10 on this page here. It previously said 100/100, and if you go to the review itself and go to the bottom, it shows 100 points.

I'm glad at least one person read the first part and got what I was going for. It was clearly a mistake to include the second part, people focused on that to the complete exclusion of the first. I wasn't saying Kirby might not be an outstanding game, just I can't trust a review if they're using a 100 point scale & give a game full marks.

1454d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

The fact you didn't bother to comment on the entire first part of my comment - the crux of the comment - and focused entirely on the second part is quite telling. The argument was not against this being a great game, it was an argument against giving a game a perfect score when you've given yourself a 100 point scale. Do you truly believe this game is 100% perfect? Nothing is wrong with it? You wouldn't change a single thing? Not 1 solitary point off out of 100? No game I play, ev...

I'm not arguing against it being a GREAT game, my argument is when you put a 100 point review scale, you have given yourself so much extra room to dock very small points for very small issues. This reviewer gave it 100 out of 100 points. There's simply no game that is so perfect it wouldn't warrant knocking 1 point off. That's my argument. I even included a game I am going to count among my favorite of all time, and said I wouldn't be able to give it a perfect 100 out of 1...

1454d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Oh, come on now. When you grade out of 100 points, you've given yourself incredible grading granularity. If 1 tiny thing is wrong, you can remove 1 point. This game is literally perfect to this review outlet? Elden Ring is currently vying for my favorite game of maybe all time, easily one of my favorite, and I wouldn't give it 100 points. No game is THAT perfect.

I do have this game rented from GameFly, in my Switch waiting to go. The demo was really underwhelming t...

I have a hard time, personally, not finding a lot of Nintendo first party games overpriced. Things like BotW or Mario Odyssey are well worth their $60, and had development budgets and timeframes to support the reason for the price tag. But games like Metroid Dread - a 2D sidescrolling Metroidvania, of which we've seen many examples of as good (or way better, IMO) examples done that cost way less ($20 even) - just feel way overpriced. Their developer size and budgets just don't justify...

Man, groups has to be the most Nintendo way to give people folders lol.

Can't put groups on your homescreen, and the only way to get there is to hit left, open all apps, then hit L to open groups, then choose the group to get to the games. It's nice to be able to sort in some fashion, but they have 100 examples of how to do folders right. They did them fine enough on the Wii U. It isn't like they don't know what folders are, so what is up with this bizarre i...
