I really hope that they'll work on SotB 2 next as well. The original SoTB2 had such a unique atmosphere and soundtrack.
I agree with Infamous 1 having the best story. Best gameplay easily goes to Infamous: SS imo. Infamous 2 had the best overall package (and the best soundtrack).
Stylized artstyle give the creators more freedom in designing the game. Also Photo-realistic games often have the uncanny valley problem. I'm fine with the photo-realistic approach though it's just not as exciting to me.
Well one of the reasons why those games aren't as optimised is because they are being developed for multiple platforms simultaneously. I don't know if adding more platforms is really the right approach to tacle that problem.
Especially when the majority of people on here don't seem to be capable of having a reasonable discussion about it. It seems like most people only foresee the best or the worst possible outcome. It will most likely be something in between and as long as we don't have all the details I don't see how arguing over the same old points over and over again is going to benefit anybody.
I'm sure that SP is one of the most fitting studios to make a great Spiderman game but since SP is my favorite Sony studio and I'm not really a fan of Spiderman I'd rather get a new IP or a new Infamous game.
@Edmix: I seriously don't know how your post has anything to do with mine at all. The fact that you decided to compare it to the slim version of consoles shows to me that you're trying really hard to make it look like an insignificant new sku ignoring the fact that this is an entirely different situation that'll have a much bigger impact on consumer trust and game development.
You cleary took a stance in your comment to defend the PS4 neo calling people with le...
That's to be expected. Devs will have to invest more effort and time into optimisation for 2 different versions of the same console. If Sony really enforces devs to make a "neo version" for every game I wouldn't be surprised if most devs would aim for the bare minimum features required to verify as a neo version.
The PS4 was meant to be as dev friendly as possible and now it seems like Sony might go in the opposite direction. Assuming the recent rumors ar...
I really don't see 40+ million of people upgrading by any stretch of the imagination. They'd be lucky to get 10% of that. The majority of gamers have a hard time to justify spending $400 on a brand new console let alone a slightly more powerful version of a console they already own.
Also keep in mind that using the better hardware to it's full potential will mean additional work for devs. I'm sure a lot of devs will settle to only put the bare minimum of wo...
You can't be serious. The PS4 is selling extremely well and shows no sign of slowing down. How is this nessessary for consoles to survive? If anything it'll harm the console business more than it'll help it. I can definately see people hesitating on buying future console generations early in their life-cycle because of the potential of an improved version later on.
It's never a good thing to irritate your loyal customers. If it ain't broke, don't fix...
I don't understand why Sony of all the console manufacturers feels the need to make an upgraded console. The PS4 is selling like hot cakes. This will only unsettle potential buyers of future console generations.
I certainly won't pay another $400 for an upgraded version of a console I already own. Most devs probably won't put the extra work in to make it worthwhile. I also think that when the PS5 comes out it'll probably be able to play all the PS4 games in ...
Awesome. Looks like Guile can crouch walk. His V-Skill looks like it has a lot of flexebility. Can't wait to see some Guile mains picking him up. Also love the classic Guile stage.
Kinda disappointed. Feral Rites looks ok but it's not really clear what type of game it is. The Unspoken looks like another VR tech demo and Song of the Deep doesn't really seem to make much sense in VR.
Out of these I'm only really interessted in Rigs, Eve Valkyrie, Ark and Dreams.
I'm curious to see more from Golem and Robinson though.
A lot of the criticism is justified specifically concerning how MS handled the PC version of the game. That's not as much a problem with the game though as it is a problem with Microsoft's mindset when it comes to PC gaming in general.
I think the game looks great both visually and gameplay-wise and I'm curious to see how it interacts with the live action episodes but in its current state I'm not willing to pay 70€ for the PC version.
Watching a game like Dark Souls seems completely nonsensical to me because it pretty much lives from the gameplay and the atmosphere. To be fair though I've never really understood the fascination of watching a playthrough of a game I haven't played to begin with.
We shouldn't read too much into concept art. Kratos might still be a part of the game but doesn't nessessarily have to be the protagonist. Also a lot of things can change during development and since we don't have all of the concept art it's impossible to say wether or not Kratos will be the main character of the game.
I didn't demand anything. I'm just pointing out that the price is surpirisingly high when compared to other AAA video game releases and given the circumstances I've just mentioned above.
Just becasue MS can ask for whatever price they want doesn't mean it's smart to ask for whatever price they want. They are still competing with other AAA video game releases.
@MachualBrotha316: You mean you can download the episodes now? Last thing I heard is that you have to stream them on PC. If so I apologise for spreading false information.
^This.
I've probably used those buttons 3-4 times in 2 years.
