Too bad it leaked. Otherwise this would've been my highlight of the conference. Still exciting though.
Need to see more but this looks promising.
That'll take a while. Clockspeeds and amount of Ram are probably still subject to change and neither Sony nor MS want to commit early on and give the competition the advantage of being able to react. In the end both consoles will be relatively similar since they are using the same µarchitecture though.
We'll get more information on Navi in the AMD conference. Then we'll have a good idea of what to expect from the next gen consoles.
Gonna give it a 6/10. Blair Witch was my highlight in terms of new announcements. Elden Ring sadly got leaked but I can't wait to see more.
Bleeding Edge is extremely disappointing. Gears 5 had a weird presentation.
In terms of Xbox Scarlett there wasn't anything shocking revealed. Zen2, Navi, GDDR6 and SSD. It sounded like they are gonna have a tiered storage solution.
The new japanese trailer has music with vocals and some extra footage fighting the c'thulu creatures.

Game looks insane. There are a lot of details to analyse in the trailer. And we got a release date. 163 days to go. Can't wait.
I'd really like to read an in-depth explanation of your revolutionary economic theory where inflation somehow doesn't effect console prices, because it clearly effects prices everywhere else. I also never suggested that they should release a $700 console but if you expect console prices to stay at a stable $400 til the end of time you'd have to get used to less and less impressive tech being included from gen to gen because TSMC, AMD, Samsung and Co. aren't going to cut their ...
If you did the research and calculations based on expected pricetrends for the known components and speculated a bit (within a reasonable range) on APU die-sizes, yields and amount of RAM it wouldn't be beyond you anymore. $499 is not only possible but it's by far the most reasonable educated guess one can make at the moment.
Releasing a $500 console in 2020 isn't even comparable to releasing a $600 console in 2006/2007. Adjusted for inflation the PS3 would cost $750/720€ today. Not to mention that it was a combination of different factors that lead to Sony losing market share in the 7th gen including: The high price, releasing 1 year late, difficulty in developing and optimising games for the PS3 and the inferior network & implementation of network features compared to the Xbox 360 especially early on in ...
@DaGR8JIBRALTAR: If you are on your first playthrough I wouldn't worry too much about missing anything as the game requires multiple playthroughs to get every ending anyway. Beating Hirata Owl is one of the conditions to get one of the secret endings. It envolves exhausting dialogue and eavesdropping sequences. Here are the conditions:
- After defeating Genichiro at the top of Ashina Castle, exhaust all dialogues with Kuro and Emma, and exhaust all eavesdrop opportuniti...
I agree Isshin, the sword saint and Hirata owl are tied. They are tied for second in my difficulty rankings because Demon of Hatred just took me far longer to figure out.
Other than that Isshin (roof), Owl (roof) and Guardian Ape were a good challenge.
In terms of quality pretty much all the bosses except for folding screen monkeys and the Ape duo are really good. My favorites were:
1. Owl (Hirata)
2. Isshin, the sword saint

I highly doubt Diablo 4 will be anything like Diablo 2. Blizzard have become more and more casual-gamer focused as time went on. Diablo 3 was a parody of what Diablo used to be. They completely screwed up the tone and atmosphere of the series and made it embarrassingly easy. I personally have very little hope for Diablo's future. Blizzard just isn't the same company they used to be. And I'm pretty sure that financially they are doing better now than they ever did before so I don...
@S2Killinit: Thanks. I just want to make clear that the reason I didn't buy the game yet has nothing to do with the review scores. I buy like 1-2 games a year on day one because I'm backlogged beyond belief. I even only bought God of War, which is one of my favorite franchises of all time, 2 months after release or so.
Days Gone just didn't intrigue me enough to make it a priority right now. At this point in time it's really hard to convince me to pick up an...
[Sorry for the wall of text I got carried away. The first 3 paragraphs are just my opinions on Driveclub, 1886 and Knack. You can skip these if you want. Last paragraph is my opinion on the whole Days Gone review debate.]
I can't speak on Days Gone's quality as I haven't played it but when it comes to the other games you've listed I've played Driveclub for a little while and was completely blown away by the visuals of the game. Sadly I'm not really i...
Seeing the same old GCN efficiency problems would be disappointing, albeit not surprising considering it's still based on GCN. Luckily for consoles GCN's efficiency tends to get much better at lower clocks and lower voltages, which is what you'd get in a console anyway.
I know Jim has legitemate sources but at this point there really isn't much of a reason to keep speculating about Navi any further. We'll hear the official version by the end of the month...
This doesn't necessarily mean no conferences though. As far as I understand they want to use these to get the minor news out of the way of the big conferences. I assume this is just to update people on the titles that are already announced or to announce titles that wouldn't really make a splash at E3. I like it as long as we still get a hype conference from time to time.
3rd party exclusives rarely stay exclusive as the platform holder neither funds nor publishes the game. Lately we've even seen some 2nd party games that were funded by a platform holder make their way to PC. In the case of MS it only makes sense as there is no point in competing with their own platform (Xbox - PC). Microsoft in general seem to be moving into a platform agnostic future and I wouldn't be shocked if we start seeing their games make it to playstation eventually.

We'll see soon enough but I'd be shocked if Navi isn't going to put some pressure on Nvidia. Nvidia hasn't exactly set the bar very high with their recent RTX cards and the GTX 16 series is a mixed bag. The 1660Ti and the 1660 are the only reasonably priced cards so there is definitely an opening for AMD.
As much as I love Sekiro I'm glad that they are going back to character creation with a focus on diverse builds. It just makes the Souls games much more replayable. According to Miyazaki, Elden Ring will provide even more variety in terms of playstyles than the Dark Souls games. I'm a little nervous about this being fully open world but I trust that Miyazaki and his team at From Software wouldn't go for an open world if they didn't think it was necessary for their his vision. ...
