Why? They won't use the CryEngine so there is no point in hiring a CE artist in my opinion.
The Unreal Engine isn't crap. You can program for 3 platforms simultaniously on it as well. In fact UE had this feature before the Cry Engine. I think the Cry Engine is superior in terms of looks but the UE isn't crap.
What camera did this guy use? This offscreen quality looks better than some so called HD Trailers I've seen.
They said in the video the that it is some kind of a coop mode against waves of enemies.
I think we should see much more variaty in engines next gen. There are already so many great looking engines for next gen games like the Unreal Engine, Cry Engine, Snowdrop Engine (the Division), Fox Engine (MGS5), Luminous Engine (Agni's philosophy), Panta Rhei-Engine (Deep Down) and many more.
I don't know who came up with the idea that a motion controlled fighting game could be any good. Even if it would work 100% right and took your movements without lag and be super precise it would still be a bad idea.
Oh my god I had so much to do this week I've totally forgotten the time. Now it's just a couple of hours left. All dates cancelled for today. I'm so hyped now.
They have a lot of games to announce but we have to keep in mind that their first party studios are split working on PS4 and PS3 games so we can't expect as many games as we got in the last couple of years for the PS3.
I hope we get some information about Cyberpunk 2077 this Gamescom.
A release date is certainly going to get announced. I hope for some new game announcements and more information on the already announced games especially the teased once like Deep Down and The Order 1886.
I know what you mean. I started gaming on the Sega Genesis and SNES but I'd say I grew up with playstation. I feel a lot of nostalgia especially with the PS1 games. It's like travelling back in time.
The Island demo didn't impress me that much. And the face demo was just a face. In most of the games I play there has to be rendered much more at the same time than just a face.
While unlimited draw distance sounds great it is not really possible without having unlimited system requirements. It is most importantly limited by the world itself. Althought there are some tricks to accomplish a wider draw distance like rendering near objects in full detail and objects that are far away with less detail you will still see more or less texture and objects pop ins depending on the power of the PC you're using and the speed you're traveling through the world.
Can you be more specific as I really don't see a reason for this.
No need to praise them. But it's a reason to be happy nonetheless.
@ma1asiah: Maybe he's just talking about people that aren't interessted in motion controls in general and would appreciate to have the option of a kinect-less version for a smaller price (I fall into this category).
Another example might be parents that buy a next gen console for their kid. The price point will be an important factor for this.
Or maybe people that don't put as much faith in the future of Kinect as you do after owning an Xbox 360. ...
I think both games are equally good. I couldn't choose a winner.
I don't want to use Kinect either. If they'll release a kinect-less version with a lower price point it might get them more potential to compete with the ps4 directly. However it might also lessen the interesst of developers in Kinect. I really wouldn't care cause I'm not interessted in motion controlls or voice recognition but for people that do care about these things this might be bad news.
That's really great news. It was the last thing that had to be changed. Now give me a kinect-less launch version and I'll start to save up money.
If you are unsure if you like the game or not why don't you just rent it before downloading a 10 or even 20GB file on your computer? I honestly don't believe you when you say that you buy your games when you've liked them but if it's true you're one of very few people that do it this way. A friend of mine always uses the same reason to justify the illegal downloads but he never buys a game even if he liked it.
