Hey I was replying in another article but you were marked as off topic before I could post so here it is:
Some prices you stated are lower than the ones you linked. This Windows 8 version is just an upgrade OS. A proper Windows 8 pro full version costs at least double the price you mentioned. You'll have to take the RAM twice to get the specs from the vid. And you didn't include a Blu-Ray drive (+$50) so even with that crappy keyboard and mouse we're talking about...

You'll have to take the RAM twice to get the specs from the vid. So even with that crappy keyboard and mouse we're talking about $715 (shipping cost included). And keep in mind that you have to assemble and set up the whole thing before you can use it.
Now let's talk about the v...
How did the story turned from "very good" (first post) to "ok" (second post) in a couple of hours? Also your second post looks like you've just posted every game you played this year vs. the one you couldn't play cause you don't own a PS3 (probably included Ni No Kuni to convince people otherwise).
"SC2 Heart of the Swarm is FAR better than TLOU"
Yeah and Tetris is superior to apple pie.
With all the hype surrounding that game I can imagine that a lifetime exclusivity deal wasn't cheap.
@GiggMan: You don't need a setting for 900p. Everything that is displayed at your TV in fullscreen is upscaled to 1080p. Even if it is a DVD or a PSOne game (1440x1080 instead of 1920x1080 in case of 4:3 source). If you watch SD TV your TV scales it to fit it's own pixelcount (which is 1920x1080). When you'll play BF4 and your PS4 is set to 1080p the PS4 will upscale it to 1080p.
@decrypt: Even if you could build a PC for $500 that out performs the PS4 (I don't think you can but feel free to reply with an exaple build) It still wouldn't play Sony's first party games.
Also don't act like you can play every PC game ever released on a new PC. Yes Windows has BC but it isn't nearly flawless. I have tons of games that aren't compatible with the newer versions of Windows. Even with Virtual Machines a lot of games don't work as th...
That's the way it is with cross gen games.
@slaphappyjesus: I've recently played Metal Gear Solid for the first time (Somehow missed it back in the day and never got to play it). That game is running in 240p or something like that and you know what? It's one of the best games I've played recently. It's has more value than a lot of present day AAA games. I've been playing a lot of Classics lately like FFVI and VIII, Vagrant Story, Crash Bandicoot and honestly those games didn't get any worse over the last two de...
Really bad quality shots.
I don't think that they are underrated. They aren't on everyone's radar but that's because all they did up until now were spin offs and ports. They definately have a lot of potential and I'm glad that they got the chance to create an original IP for the PS4.
@triforce79: Well the Xbox 360 had a really strong lineup in the first couple of years. I wouldn't say that the Wii-U lineup is bad but it lacks system seller titles. It's about time for the Wii-U too make a comeback.
I hope that you haven't preordered a next gen console. If you have you will be disappointed cause 1080p at 60fps for every game isn't going to happen. If that is so important for you you should consider getting a gaming PC.
I think you are exaggerating. I'd like as many games as possible in 1080p but to say that you won't buy games that run under 1080p is going to far imo. It's obviously your own decision but when I see a great game I won't be stopped from buying it just because it doesn't do 1080p.
@sweendog: The only thing that bothers me with that procedure is that it may have a negative effect on the performance of the game. Install while playing is a great feature but it means it'll take recources to do so. So if you are playing the same game over and over again and leave the data in the cache it may perform better then if you swap games all the time.
Edit: I may be wrong though cause it may be that the game doesn't install all at once when you put the disc...
I assume you'll have to install large portions of all the next gen games cause an optical drive may be too slow to read all the data needed in time.
Next month people will claim that PC gaming is dead again. It kinda changes every now and then. If all those people were to be believed gaming would have died a long time ago.
@snipab8t: Ryse is an exclusive game against BF4 not only being multiplatform but also cross gen (developing for 1 platform vs. developing for 5). Also Ryse isn't running at 60fps right?
@MorePowerOfGreen: That's one way to interpret what he said. Another one would be that the PS4 version looks mutch better and that people will be surprised how big the difference actually is. Keep in mind that a lot of people (even a couple of devs) claim that both consoles are basically identical.
We'll have to wait and see. While I hope that both versions look great I wouldn't be "surprised" to see that the Xbox One version looks superior - I would be...
What I still don't understand is why it's gotta be either 30 or 60fps. Why not aim for let's say 45 or 50fps. The only possible reason I see is the refresh-rate of old TVs. But nowadays most people have at least 200Hz TVs so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.
You clearly missed my point. But hey if you want to play the sales card let's play with your rules.
