That's a tough decision. It's impossible to name just one.
GoW 3 had some of the best boss battles and really epic moments so it has to be a strong contender for me.
The Darkness 1 had such a great story and a unique atmosphere. It's a shame it didn't get the recognition it deserved. It's one of my favorite games ever.
Bioshock - A masterpiece from the mastermind Ken Levine. One of my favorite settings this gen.

I don't even see a reason to discuss that. You don't like FF? Don't buy it. If you are asking whether or not to get excited for a game you're doing something wrong. You either get excited or not.
You can't tell the difference between 30 and 60fps? How can you not see a difference? Are you sure that you actually played a 60fps game? Cause you can't compare on youtube. I think it's a huge difference.
I agree. I've seen a lot of impressive looking games already. Forza, Ryse, MGSV, The Witcher 3, Killzone Shadowfall, Infamous Second son and The Division all look much better than current gen games in my opinion.

That doesn't mean that much. When I was twelve I probably could beat much harder games than I can now.
I agree that Uncharted 1 wasn't that hard though. I just recently played it again and the only problem I have with the game is that the shooting is getting a bit repetitive after a while. ND definately improved that in U2.

That's actually not bad habit but a good one in most shooters when you don't lose ammo. However I had to quit this habit when I played Cry of Fear cause you lose a whole magazine if you reload.
Never played Fallout New Vegas I guess it's the same with that.
@green: It's funny that you mentioned mobile phones cause I still have an old Samsung phone without Internet. I never bought a new cause I'm perfectly fine with it's functions. I'll get a new phone eventually but out of the same reason I won't go and buy the newest iPhone cause I won't spend that much time with all the fnctions anyway.

I respect that but I'm looking for a games console and a lot of these points have nothing to do with games directly. I'm not saying that the X1 ins't good in the games department cause they've shown some great games but I won't pay for all these features that I'm not interessted in. Maybe I'll get one after they cut the price if they continue to support hardcore gamers with exclusive games.
I agree tat the MP is fun but I'd say it's still not needed in a Gow game. It was the first GoW game with so many technical issues. I had a lot of sound issues in my first playthrough and I think the whole single player would've been even better if they didn't include the MP.

FF VII is a low bar? Are you serious?
I'd say start with a PSone FF (7,8,9) if you don't mind the graphics. The games are all seperate that play in different worlds with different characters even though there are some traditional elements that are carried through the series.
@FlameHawk: Maybe you have not been playing good indie games. I think there is no connection between the budget of a game and it's quality. But to make a successful indie game the devs need to make it something special so it often results in more creative ideas while a AAA game can get away with a much more generic approach.
AAA games on the other hand accomplish movie-like expiriences, epic boss battles, huge scale and orchestrated soundtracks.

How does it look worse now. They never introduced aircrafts in any shape or form. To be honest I don't know how aircrafts would make the game any better. Sure it could be fun to fly around but that's not what this game is about. You have to keep in mind that this is not GTA.
Infamous didn't even have the option to drive cars and it's still an awesome game.
