Because women are still treat appalling in the industry? Unrealistic and degrading depictions of women.
Xenoblade is unlikely, what with a port of said game due for the New 3DS in the coming months, also, Wii U owners are soon to be getting the sequel to Xenoblade at the end of the year - putting its predecessor in the shade, probably. I would personally concentrate on Gamecube ports - given the choice. The Wii U is currently able to play all Wii retail games, and with the new Gamecube type pad out for the Wii U, seems a better opportunity.
Its true. Listing Knack alone is a fate worse than clutching at straws. I say all of this being a day 1 PS4 owner myself. I'm telling you, my PS4 has been used more as a Blu Ray/catch up player over the year than actually as a games machine. I find it incomprehensible that to this day people are still taking pot shots at Nintendo and particularly the Wii U, without it I would have gave up on the industry almost entirely...my PC still has fire in its belly.
I've looked at this list. None of the games mentioned - barring perhaps the game placed at no.1 - are particularly "hidden" or "gems". Face facts like I have needed. The PS4 has had a rotten year. The only game being great and exclusive to the system (of sorts) is TLOU, a game I had already enjoyed via my now traded (sadly) PS3.
Nintendo is still the king. Some feat when you consider how long they have been at it. Follow trends/fads all you like, I almost certainly guarantee it, any other develeper working in the industry today - no matter how good - will look to Nintendo as the benchmark.
While each to his own and suchlike, Zelda II, really!?
A name like Xi Master Chief, I wouldn't expect any other response if it were Bill Gates himself.
Actually, I disagree - and I say this as a huge Zelda fan, having played every major iteration since the original way, way back in the day. I say this with a heavy heart, but for me, Twilight Princess is the first - and to day ONLY - game in the franchise to have fumbled the ball ever so slightly. A great game, a good Zelda even, but not what I have come to expect from Nintendo and the franchise. It felt to me the first time Nintendo were treading water...almost as if they had listened to the...
I don't see the problem. The argument is convincing for each to be the best. IGN struggling to nail down a favourite is not uncommon for any fan of the series and gamer alike. Like for example, if I were asked to choose a particular favourite at this moment I would be stuck.
Damn shame we wont be seeing a new Banjo Kazooie built exclusively for the Wii U. Now that is something I could have got behind. Microsoft (in my opinion) really really put the skids on the franchise and Rare.
I own both...like I say, its becoming an obsession. Few (Amiibo's) I don't own which are available.
Really? Really!? For example, the most recent Mario title - platformer at least - SM3DW (Wii U), critically acclaimed across the board and a strong contender for GOTY, why do you hope the series "ceases to exist soon"?
This is becoming an expensive sickness - least for me. Only God knows why I need the full collection of Amiibo's. Still, I continue to hunt down and burn a HUGE hole in my pocket...when will this insanity end!?
Personally, I cannot wait to collect my New 3DS. I've pre-ordered the 'standard' black for 2 reasons. The screen, bigger than the original 3DS but not too big to defeat the point of portability, the XL a little too garish in that respect for my tastes. Face plates, I've already ordered the wood effect casing. Oh, 3 reasons...those SNES themed buttons. I think this (New 3DS) coupled with my Wii U, Nintendo is pushing and pushing to have a very good 2015.
Don't you know, even Sony and Microsoft will be working on its next gen console's...its called momentum. Working on and releasing however are worlds apart, as you well know. The Wii U - coupled with the PS4/XB1 - are relatively new, each have years and years more in the tank. Personally I can't wait to see the games released on the Wii U over the coming years, 2015 already looks incredible.
Personally, my top Wii games to be released digitally via the Wii U would be rare or overly expensive retail titles, ones such as Metroid Trilogy (getting released at the end of this month) and Twilight Princess - Gamecube version, though I find the Wii version - with wide-screen and projectile motion controls - particularly satisfying. Place games back in the hands of the gamers and out of the grubby mitts of Gollum's alike.
Dont be ignorant. You know EXACTLY to what he is referring. In the build up to the PS4/XB1 - particularly in comparison to the Wii U - it was all power, power, power, 1080p and 60fps locked on every game, easy. Well, over a year later the reality is proving VERY different, is it not?
I bought a PS4 at launch, I'm just not afraid to say what's staring me right in the face.
Funny, I don't spot one 'remaster' or re-release in this list. Damn you Nintendo for not selling us a game we may have just bought and completed no more than 1 year ago...get with the program.
Videogames wont progress one itoa from the pits of adolescents bedrooms whilst disgusting, offensive comments are made regarding either female videogame characters or actual real women working in the industry, a la Jade Raymond. Disgusting!
Edit: PC version it is for me, easy. My modest PC can run this game at 1080p AND 60fps - combined. Why my all powerful PS4 cant is a mystery.
Skyward Sword was built with motion controls at its very core. To remove this would be to undo what made it so unique and brilliant. I question whether anyone who asks for such a thing actually even played the game.
Personally I'm more interested in Nintendo creating new games in its most popular franchises, but, I guess a guilt pleasure of mine would be SM64 'remade' using SM3DW's engine...pure unadulterated nostalgia. People who ask for a sequel to Mario 64 ...
