Resi 4 is the best and most accessible - in my opinion. Not just the best Resi but arguably one of the best games of all time...a stone cold classic. Best 'traditional' Resi - not to upset the self-proclaimed 'hardcore', probably Code Veronica - again, in my opinion...I've not played EVERY Resi Evil. So, to recap, played today, Resi 4, Gamecube version if possible, Code Veronica, Dreamcast version, or Resi Remaster HD, PC version.

Its a crying shame games such as this and others on Nintendo platforms are getting overlooked in favour of chav fodder.

I could have give you (easy) 10 reasons to buy Nintendo in 2014...2015 is just a continuation of the good work. Nintendo should appeal to hearts and minds alike. I bought a PS4 at launch...I did so because I imagine exclusives appearing soon which justify the purchase/price tag, BUT, to say 2014 was anything but a poor year for Sony would be a lie. A couple of great games, most available on other platforms - the majority perform better for it i.e PC versions running at higher and more consist...

I would just like to say...some people are making RIDICULOUS comparisons with the misogyny in video games today and what I said. Michael Jordan in Space Jam (for example)? WTF!?

Terrible, terrible excuses are being given. Face it. Videogames - in general - are a factor in the pornification of women. Not across the board certainly but the popular titles for sure.

Yes, that was me - nice/creepy to know I have a follower...BUT. Was it also not me who said I disagree with censorship in all its forms>

Besides, my comments about unrealistic and degrading depictions of women was in no way aimed at JUST Phantom Pain but rather the entire industry. I think for me what really sealed the deal was Jade Raymond troll fest. A semi-attractive woman working in the industry at the forefront, so what happens, thousands ...

Sorry, backtracking is never (normally) a plus. Just a way to normally space out an altogether short game. And also, I think you miss-remember Galaxy just a little bit. Yes, occasionally you would be jumping from 1 small planet to the next, but that was just a part of the game. Most of the time you were traversing world just as big as any Mario previous...its called variety. Like I say, for me, Galaxy got things perfectly right in the balance.

No way would Twilight Princess make my list. I'm way too big a Zelda/Nintendo fan to let that slide. Great, great adventure games, average Zelda game. First time (for me) it felt like Nintendo were treading water with the franchise. Proves to me trying to appease the self-proclaimed 'hardcore' is rarely the way to take it. Anyway, my list...

1. A Link to the Past
2. Ocarina of Time
3. Wind Waker
4. Oracle of Seasons
5. Four Swords ...

Thank you. Honestly, these self-proclaimed 'hardcore'. Bayonetta 2 could have EASILY been released on either a Sony or Microsoft console IF said 'hardcore' had shown enough interest previous. You could say the same with Okami - as I usually do. For me, EASILY one of the best games of its gen but sold like rubbish. Its fair to say quality isn't always what guarantees sales. Looks to me like mass marketing and chav fodder is the only thing guaranteed.

Yeah. Mario Party!? Its not dark and brooding, 'mature' or graphic enough to appeal to the self-proclaimed 'hardcore'. Throw in some greys, browns and beige, give us real world guns, violence and swearing...better. Much better.

Oh, I almost forgot. Instead of taking an age to release the next instalment in the Mario Party franchise, repackage it with some DLC 6 months down the line and charge us full price for it - while at the same time proclaim it is a full ...

No, but I was surprised at just how unrealistic their proportions were.

More 'open' perhaps, but at what cost. Galaxy perfected the art - and in my opinion, even Mario 64 before it - of balancing exploration and tightness. I like the Fludd mechanic in Sunshine. Nintendo would do far better (as it does) moving on from Sunshine, Galaxy (1 & 2) and SM3DW proving such. Sunshine - while not bad by any means - is EASILY my least favourite 3D Mario title, so no, no sequel required here.

The recent trend lately seems to be taking on games whi...

You say that BUT, when Nintendo do release many games of their "sub-series" nobody (apart from me it feels) actually buys them. Wario for example. Smooth Moves and Shake Dimension were (last gen) brilliantly crafted games, either fun or challenging, both scoring critical acclaim - at least favourable. It mattered not. The masses - in case you handnt noticed - just continue to gobble up any old chav fodder, overlooking as they do the gems beneath.

Hardly neglected. With the Wii we got Corruption and Other M. On the Gamecube we had Prime and Echoes. 4 Metroid's, 1 of them (Prime, obviously) a stone cold classic. Thats not mentioning Metroid Trilogy. Now, thats just counting the above mentioned, 4 brand new Metroid's in only 2 generations of consoles. While that may seem stingy to those enjoying 6 monthly instalments of the same franchise, don't forget, Nintendo don't do DLC and sell it as a full price game.

'Hot' if you are a prepubescent pre-teen perhaps. Notice how none of them look (though its hard to tell, stylized as they are) over 25, and each an unrealistic interpretation of WOMAN. I would what their real world figure sizes would measure?

4163d ago 7 agree33 disagreeView comment

Only if those boobies are surgically enhanched so gravity defying. Imagine the faces on the majority of gamers - that is the prepubescents - if natural were to make a play.

As long as she is young and 'busty', right? God forbid any 'strong' female videogame character should be otherwise.

That you don't is an issue in itself.

Incredible! Nobody - especially not me - is asking for censorship. I'm completely against censorship. All I am pointing out is, look at the industry, be it videogame characters or real women working as staff. The way they get treat and depicted is insulting. You can tell playing videogames today that 'men' are still at the core.
