No, the ladies don't love me. I can't imagine anybody posting here on a videogames related forum is Casanova himself - in fact quite the opposite.

Another who prefers quantity over quality. Hideously overpriced...hideously!? OK, so I'll pay £100 more for a PS4 (which I own), AND add £40 a year for PS+ - which is close enough to mandatory. Still, for that price I get to play Driveclub exclusively...that's good right, right?

My reason for ignoring both PS4 and XB1...I'm not a pre-teen/adolescent with a penchant for 'mature' titles, preferably on a 6 month instalment basis.

So, none of the games currently available for the Wii U appeal? Perhaps not only should you forget the Wii U but videogames in general. Its incredible. Some people will blindly champion games such as Drive Club and Destiny and with the same breath claim nothing currently available on the Wii U appeal.

A genuinely incredible 9 games due 2015...and that's not including games more under the radar to catch us off guard and blow us away. I'm not trolling when I say (for me) nothing announced by either Sony or Microsoft come close to matching the hope and excitement I have for these aforementioned games. If only the self-proclaimed 'hardcore' could get off their high horses and appreciate the more nuanced game.

The Wii perfectly encapsulated Nintendo in my opinion. Nintendo doing what they always have - setting trends. Some miss, some hit. This is the reason I have continued with Nintendo since my first, the SNES. Nintendo created Motion Controls in a way that was at the core of the experience. The fact that Sony and Microsoft completely missed the point and released 2 of the worst add-ons in gaming history onto the market in a knee-jerk response is their fault.

Fair enough. Thing is, Nintendo can survive on 1st party and the occasional 3rd party, just so long as they turn a profit - which to my knowledge they always have. Also, I'd just like to include the New 3DS and Amiibo being part of Nintendo, both a massive success. Seems pretty obvious that those predicting all doom and gloom for Nintendo rarely (if ever) point to the many ways it is making a success. For my money the Wii U has been far greater a success than either PS4 or XB1 - that is i...

Lack of good games? I'm sorry, but for my money it's library of great games is far greater than anything on PS4 or XB1 - certainly exclusive to the particular console.

It's not Nintys fault - rather strength in not following trends. Also, don't worry. Nintendo are not going anywhere. If anything I see Microsoft leaving the console business sooner than Nintendo.

Sales show trends. Since Nintendo has never followed trends, why is this news? The Wii sold in huge numbers because with it Nintendo set the trend. Yes, Sony and Microsoft selling consoles is a positive, good luck to them. Thing is, as a GAMER, when I am playing either Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, SM3DW or even Okami (for example), I'm never concerned with home many copies did said game sell, rather how much am I enjoying the particular experience.

Enslaved...really!? Not a bad game by any means but far from great. Decent I reckon. Even Heavenly Sword (for me) was better, purer.

I don't understand. I'm certain that those who troll Nintendo over their hardware run out and buy a PS4 or XB1. I'm sorry, but apart from a few buzzwords and propaganda, Sony and Microsoft have done very little in real terms demonstrating their hardware is anything more than a gimped PC. I say this owning a Wii U and PS4. The best games for my PS4 have been either 'remasters' - games I have played and bought previous, or the occasional multiplatform - games I can buy cheap...

I didn't say it did or didn't. I said it was the choice of the casuals. The bit in which I commented on 6 monthly installments of popular franchises, I in no way referred to GTA - obviously.

I don't understand. Look at the charts. The majority don't want new IP's. Assassins Creed, COD, GTA, etc, etc. These are the games that sell. The casuals who champion said games can only have themselves to blame for a lack of fresh IP's. I always cite Okami as the perfect example. A new IP, critically acclaimed. Did it matter? Not a bit of it. The casuals looked past it, instead choosing the latest 6 month instalment of a trite franchise.

I'm sorry, but Sega - and its games - are far more suited to appear on the Wii U. Colourful, vibrant and fun...not exactly the natural home of Sony and Microsoft. Shenmue III as an exclusive for the Wii U would just make a great deal more sense.

Second console? It not only has a strong argument for being the main console but also the only console. Unless you have way too much time on your hands, you are never going to play every exclusive for every system. My set-up is a Wii U and PC. This way I get to play every Nintendo exclusive - and additional. My PC allows me to play most (if not all) major multi-platform games. I did buy a PS4 at launch but at present it is being used more as a Blu Ray player and set-top box than as a games ma...

Pathetic. 'Articles' such as this. Its no wonder the industry will forever be under the shadow of sleaze and immaturity.

Its true. When I bought my Wii U - a couple months after launch - I paid £200. When I picked up my PS4 at launch I played roughly £450 - it included a game I didn't want, forced upon me. I would argue that the Wii U was worth the price at launch as much as I would today. What you are paying for is a dedicated games machine with a plethora of incredible exclusives and the odd wonderful left field title...not to mention the eShop and FREE online.

Its true. I mean...Resident Evil 4 (GC) required 2 disks. Didn't exactly do that any harm. For that matter, Shenmue required 3 discs - Passport (disc 4) wasn't exactly required. Its better probably if it can be fitted onto 1 disc, but 2 wouldn't be the end of the world by any means.

You talk about 'unique' like its grows on trees. You cant constantly keep reinventing the wheel with every game released you know. I would argue that only last gen Nintendo changed the way people played games. The Wii used Motion Controls in such a way it was a global hit AND forced Sony and Microsoft to release their versions onto the market. Skyward Sword was (for me) EASILY the most innovative game released last gen. I mean, a fully realised Zelda game using Motion Controls at its ...
