Yes, 89% sounds good - on the face of it, but...controls criticised and "overwhelming quicktime events". Control is a key aspect in any game (for me), and quicktime events, I loath them - barring Resident Evil 4. I'll wait for Eurogamer and Edge to review said game, give me a better flavour, but I'd be surprised if this game turned out to be my bag.

No good. Multiple control schemes only seem to dilute the experience. What I moved about Skyward Sword was that Motion Plus was at its core, not an afterthought.

Okami HD is under £6...under £6 I tell you! If you've not played it already, a) where have you been hiding, and b) this is the best version of arguably one of the finest games of all time.

I'm still disappointed the Motion Plus controls from Skyward Sword wont be duplicated in this Zelda U. Going from 'traditional' controls in Twilight Princess (GC) to Skyward Swords 1:1 Motion Plus felt (for me) not too dissimilar from when Resident Evil 4 was released. While Resident Evil's change in direction was well overdue, Zelda's just felt it came at the right time. Its a shame to see it taking a step-backwards or even sidewards. Saying all this, I'm sure the gam...

@Perjoss

If I thought either PS3 or 360 capable of producing games on a technical level such as SM3DW or Smash U, I'd eat my hat.

Honestly, I wouldnt mind the Wii U/Wii trolling if I thought for a second those doing so actually owned said systems...and by OWNED I mean gave either or both a fair crack of the whip. Otherwise I get the distinct impression its trolling for the sake of trolling. Those who describe the Wii as a fad> didn't stop Sony and Microsoft ashamedly trying to copy by brining onto the market in a knee-jerk reaction their 'efforts' of so called fad? Also, you don't think either Sony or...

Its true. My go-to example is always Okami. I never remember once playing it thinking, 'how can this game be so good if its not selling...mustn't be that good'. Its a masterpiece which never needed sales, propaganda or heavy advertising to convince me. The actually experience itself did all that. History is filled with these sort of games...Bayonetta 2 being the latest example, though PS and Xbox fanboys cant bitch, because if they had supported the original enough - it was based ...

You nearly hid your trolling intentions, only for them to be revealed when you said LBP or ANY R&C (no matter how good) were "far better" than Tropical Freeze as a traditional platformer. Neither in my opinion are in the traditional platform genre, and it they were - for arguments sake, well, they certainly wouldn't be "far better" than Tropical Freeze...actually worse. Yes, Rayman Origins/Legends were both great examples of the genre. I would say for both that the...

Little Big Planet!? LBP is a lot of things, but its strengths do NOT lie in platforming. Customization, yes, but insinuating its at its best as a 'traditional' platformer is naive, to say the least. Retro Studios, Tokyo EAD...to say whoever the hell developed LBP can hold a candle to either of these developers in wishfull thinking, fact.

Nostalgia brought kicking and screaming into 2015, games such as A Link Between Worlds and SM3DW. Nintendo are peerless in merging the old and new seamlessly. Knack? Now THAT is a game which feels like it was made in the 90's - albeit on a powerful PC.

The 90's platformer never left us. I own a Wii U - as well as a New 3DS, PC and PS4, yes, in that order (played). Nintendo with the Wii U offer us the best in both 2D and 3D platformer. SM3DW and Tropical Freeze are the pinnacle of respective platformer, least this gen (easy). Its only those lone PS4 and XB1 owners who are missing out, but, if they will insist on their respective consoles merits...

Seems rather high based on previews doing the rounds. I'm highly unlikely to purchase said game - just not my bag by all accounts, but I hope sooner rather than later PS4 has an exclusive to write home about. I bought my PS4 at launch and to date I have 2 games in my library, TLOU and GTAV. TLOU I played via my PS3, enjoyed, yet still decided to buy again for my PS4, perhaps regrettably. Same rules applied for GTAV, yet I imagine I will soon be trading this copy in for the PC version when...

Everybody makes it all sound so easy, from the comfort and safety of their pits/bedrooms. Nintendo are NEVER going to please all people, thank God. If you honestly believe Nintendo dont have enough good hardware on the market currently - with the Wii U and New 3DS accomplished pieces of kit, or enough games in their repertoire - with both retail Wii U, New 3DS, 3DS and DS games on the market - not including digital games...

Yeah, the people at the top of the Nintendo food chain...dumb, right? Sure you get to the top of such a phenomenal brand by being "dumb", I mean, it makes sense doesn't it?

Paranoia much? You say they (Nintendo) know exactly what they are doing, but do you really know this for a fact? Believe me - as frustrating as it is, there is more than just 1 reason for Amiibo's not being in constant supply as we would like. Get a grip will you, because at the end of the day you can acquire all the Amiibo you like with a little patience and planning...sadly I possess none of these 2 virtues.

I don't imagine they did anticipate it, but now it exists...please anticipate the 4th and 5th wave figures with more stock. I'm buying because I've gamed with Nintendo since the SNES. I'm NOT buying because I'm some gollum (well, sort of), buy low sell high.

Even this news, sales up, New 3DS doing great, Amiibo causing amazing interest...hatters are going to hate. Its like a console (and games) aren't worth interest these days if its not no.1 in sales. I'm more than happy with my Wii U and PC set-up, oh, and I recently just bought and received a New 3DS...

Arguably the best 'traditional' Kirby game you can play today. I do however have a soft spot for Canvas Curse...great game, brilliantly innovative. Glad also some of these rarer games are being placed back in the hands of the gamers, leaving gollums alike furious - though I do myself own physical copies of said game and Metroid Trilogy respectively.

All signs point to yes. Only time will truly tell, but if this game isnt forgotten about in less than a few months, I'll eat my hat. Sure, the 'graphics' will lure people, but as always, its gameplay which will keep people hooked - or not.

Disappointed (slightly), but will get over it very fast. It was a feature in the beginning I was curious in trying, but from all reports since it wasn't anything to write home about. Regarding the Wii U, I'd prefer it to keep focused on being a games machine rather than - not unlike the PS4 and XB1 - a jack of all trades and master of none. Keep it up Nintendo...
