Absoeffingloutely. The written review is for the 'gamers', numbers - out of 10 or 100 - are for the trolls.

Fair play. However, I couldn't have a clear conscience leaving such titles out. Also, decision - narrowing down to 3 games - made slightly more difficult now I just noticed Resident Evil 4 (GC) was released in my region March 2005.

Agree. Clutching at straws some?

"Of this decade" tells you a lot regarding this 'article'.

Bayonetta 2 NOT nominated in the GOTY category, Destiny however...

A near impossible decision. Top of my head (subject to change)...Okami HD, Metroid Trilogy, Galaxy 2. I know, the first 2 are cheating a bit using a loophole, still, it needed to be done to include such masterpieces.

Bombastic update. So many fine things to choose, so little money left in my bank.

Just stopped by to say...great news! I don't know how some are going to be able to cope however, not being able to quickly scroll down to the bottom of the page, read number and quickly begin trolling - based solely on that one number.

I think I can speak for everyone...YES!

Missed previous Mario's first time around on initial release? Tough. Nintendo are sporadically releasing 'remasters' of fan favourites, and that's exactly how it should be kept, sporadically. Leave it to Sony and Microsoft to keep re-selling previous gen games as 'remakes'. Nintendo of course are sticking closely to loved IP's, but with each release we get new experiences, NOT exactly what we have seen previous.

Also, this Sunshine gameplay looks ...

Improve in these terms means fix broken. Too many games are being released clearly unfinished, this being another example. Its another unfinished game due to be patched for months and months, hopefully by the end it will have some resemblance of finished. You're niave if you believe otherwise or buy the propaganda.

@Ultr
That it should come as "no surprise" makes it even worse. Its not a current gen thing. This just doesn't happen - certainly on this scale - with Nintendo/Wii U.

You just said you are a fighting game buff, you named the fact Nintendo and the Wii U have Smash. You also said RPG, mentioning X is due to arrive fro the Wii U this year - fingers crossed. Now I'm sorry, but exactly how much spare time do you have on your hands? Two of arguably the deepest and complex games in each of its respective genre's... not enough?

Like others here have commented...

Take last year for example. Those 6 games (if you insist) could have been Smash, Mario Kart 8, Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad and Hyrule Warriors - for example. Now, while other good/great games were released both digitally and retail, I'd be surprised if the aforementioned 6 games weren't enough to keep you more than satisfied over a year. That's assuming of course you have things outside of videogames...family, job,...

Six!? Bleeding hell. Six Forza's and only Five Mario Kart's - home console versions. How and why do people keep insinuating Nintendo bleed its franchises dry is a mystery. Probably to divert attention away from what is really taking place...a lack of freshness between Sony and Microsoft.

Perhaps it was just me, but I did notice slightly more detail in the Wii version - in this comparison vid. Like I said, slight, and when put under a microscope. Besides, isn't it normal the Wii version would be graphically better? I believe the Wii is still slightly more 'powerful' than even the New 3DS...I stand to be corrected.

The Wii version looks (slightly) better in this comparison video, but of course, that's not taking into account what an impact 3D will add. An incredible jrpg experience and one of the best games of last gen - for me. Personally, I'll just probably keep my copy I own for the Wii, but for the uninitiated, you are in for a treat.

A few particularly good 'remasters' on this list, but my favourite...Okami HD. That game, those visuals.

4153d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Totally agree, BUT. Can we not get into a sales discussion. I mean, are we gamers or board members? Either console/game could sell poorly. Doesn't stop them from being incredible experiences. Okami anyone? Many, many more example where that came from...

The Wii U is priced very competitively, fact. No, Nintendo are NOT behind the times, as the Wii proved last gen, remember? So if anything, they (Nintendo) are ahead of their time. Remember Kinect and Move coming so soon after Wii's successes in a horrible knee-jerk reaction way? Its not behind the times to release a console which isn't competing in the 'power' stakes, besides, hasn't Mario Kart 8, Smash and Bayonetta 2 (for example) proven its not what's under the hood...
