Yeah, because Resi 4 was really broken to begin with...
Give it a rest.
Likewise. Sure to displease the self-proclaimed 'hardcore'.
God forbid 'regular' fans of Nintendo should get the opportunity to purchase particular Amiibo. Scalper's, Gollums, call them what you will. It appears they have taken hostage of Amiibo's and turned it into some twisted way to make a few pounds/bucks. As always, the real fans miss out.
Come on. I just said I gave up on the series 1 3DS in under a year - in fact, I believe it was under 6 months. Hardly a ringing endorsement. Thing is, I understand Nintendo's strengths and 'weaknesses'. Some PS4/XB1 owners - of which I am a day 1 PS4 owner - ONLY see strengths, no weaknesses.
Depends. How many different variations of PS3 and 360 were released last gen?
More proof of sales not related to quality. I picked up a New 3DS at launch - the 'regular' black version. Having owned a series 1 3DS which (even as a huge Nintendo fan) a gave up on in under a year. The difference between that model and today's is emphatic. The 3D effect (for me), flawless. The design, superb. Arguably Nintendo's finest handheld today - no mean feat. Also, with a library of incredible 3DS games and more incoming to take advantage of the New 3DS's capabil...
What a terrible effort all round. No version comes out as a 'win'. Even the PC version doesn't come out well. This feels typical of this gen, barring the Wii U. A bunch of badly optimised, half-baked and underwhelming titles...for the majority at least.
Come on! Comparing Zelda - as a franchise and each individual game - to GTA, well, I'm just not having it. The GTA series has good game, no doubt, but (for me), A Link to the Past (for example) possesses more creativity, polish and magic than in every GTA combined.
Its a great console - as is every Nintendo console. Its 'weaknesses' - in some peoples eyes - is that it (and other Nintendo consoles) simply doesn't replicate what Sony and Microsoft are doing, but for me, that's its strength. Its a breath of fresh air compared to what else is available on the market. The biggest mistake people make with it is not judging it on its own merits and wanting it to be something it clearly isn't and Nintendo don't want it to be.

That's funny. I was going to say - since buying a PS4 at launch - the only games I have 'enjoyed' I had previously on my PS3...GTAV and TLOU. Half a dozen good multiplatform games were/are also available, but to be honest, the ones I was interested in (Alien, Diablo III, etc) I purchased for my PC at much cheaper prices, better performance also. I buy a console for exclusives, that was no difference with my PS4. I'm seriously starting to wonder why I'm still owning my PS4,...
Where or when (or both) will Dragon Quest X for the Wii/Wii U be getting released here in the U.K?
Don't get me wrong. 36 million is hardly a drop in the oceon. Just when you compare it to say Mario Kart Wii (for example), that game itself sold just as much as the entire Street Fighter franchise over numerous years and consoles. Just for the record, I think BOTH Street Fighter and Mario Kart are equally as good franchises, both resulting in incredible games. Just proves my point again...sales are sales, games are games, don't mix the two.
I'm glad somebody else can see this. I was starting to think I was insane or some half-arsed troll. Its fair to say - at least thus far - no good reason exists to own a PS4 if you own a decent(ish) PC. I'm currently going between my Wii U and PC at the moment. My Wii U for games simply unavailable anyplace else, and my PC to pick up 99.9% of multiplatform titles. I did buy a PS4 at launch but currently its not really getting used - other the a catch-up and Blu Ray player. I have my fi...
Exactly! Thank you. Another (like me) who can clearly see sales are no indication of quality. Yes, some quality products also sell well, but to say something has sold a lot MUST indicate quality of product...open your eyes!
Perhaps I not made myself clear here - getting 3 disagrees. The Street Fighter franchise (for the most part) IS quality. Ive been a huge fan of the games over the years, from the very first in my local arcade to owning Street Fighter Ultra for my PC today...quite an evolution. All I was saying with my sales line is that the Street Fighter franchise has sold fairly poorly considering just how many games over the years have been released, yet that proves nothing in the face of quality titles su...
If/when it does arrive, do you think the majority of people will care? Its a serviceable racing game, no more, no less.
I didn't say anybody cared, just a side note. Also, can I assume you speak for everybody?
Is it ignorant? I cant agree. Yes, slightly off topic I agree...my apologies.
I know, I do.
I'm starting to subscribe to digital. For reasons of 'clutter' it is definitely preferable. Also, the whole Gollum/Amiibo debacle has left a real sour taste in my mouth. I want nothing to do with those who covet physical for reasons of anything OTHER than for profit and vanity.
