Reading the comments here reminds me again why Eurogamer ditching a number as the means of a review was the best decision made in quite some time. People arguing over what game should sit alongside what number...its absurd!
I almost 100& guarantee you have not played Rainbow Curse - yet you seem confident on what score it should or should not deserve. Also, how is it insulting to the people behind HM2 and Ori? The people behind RC likely put in just as much hard work and dedication. Its like for me Bloodbourne (which I have NOT played) would not receive a 'perfect' score - based on games of this type (while good) are just not my bag. Please, quite trolling EVERYTHING Nintendo.
As always, supply and demand. I bought the entire Mario Kart 8 DLC, all be less likely to buy the Smash DLC - but am not ruling it out. I wouldn't say it was too expensive, no.
I wasn't referring to numbers in the series, just the general title...but thanks.
Could not have put a better more even handed argument for Nintendo in place. Kudos.
No, uninterested is entirely different. Insecure was/is right. Dont tell me the reason the PS4 sold in such huge numbers was because its library of games (at launch in particular) were 'system sellers'. No, the majority buy the PS4 is because its the console to be seen to own - part of Sony's - I have to hand it to them - great PR machine.
Who says Nintendo need "cutting edge" games, and - perhaps more importantly - what are "cutting edge" games? Also, do you really NEED to be a Nintendo "fan boy" to appreciate great Nintendo games such as Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3 and SM3DW (for example), really NEED? Last but certainly not least, the "underpowered" argument is one of the worst in recent times. Look what uber-powerful 'next gen' machines are doing to date, 1080p games (...
Ah, Mother (or Earthbound), the fast becoming choice of the hipster. Yes, a good game in its day, revolutionary even, also surprisingly 'mature', but please, hipsters only devalue everything they attach their mits too. Please,, leave it alone.

Stuck in the past - if that's what you want to call it, this means Nintendo dont adopt the latest trends. Reason enough for me to continue sticking with Nintendo. Also, I bought both a WiiU and PS4 at launch - I also own a New 3DS and (very) modest gaming PC. Fact is, I have spent more time on individual games for my WiiU than I have on my PS4 in its entirety - certainly as a GAMES machine, my PS4 has been used frequently as a Blu Ray/catch-up player.
Agree 100%! Its true of the past, and not just Nintendo, that when new IP's do arrive they tend to get conveniently overlooked in favour of the latest treasured franchised title. Nothing wrong with that, but at the same time you can hardly blame developers trying less forming new IP's when numbers sold tend to fall way short of targets.
Its time people started looking closer to home than pointing fingers elsewhere. After all, for all you want to say about Nintendo, th...
Fair play. For me however it has to be Star Fox U. Perhaps because I know nothing of what to expect, perhaps because previous entries in the series have been (at times) stellar. Either way I'm really looking forward to any information incoming on said game. Yes, X will in all likelihood be a magnificent example of the genre - much like its predecessor.
I find it hard to believe I'll barely scratch the surface of the main game, never mind additional quests. Balancing a job, girlfriend, family, friends and all other outside interests/hobbies, I just don't get much time these days as I did in my pre-teens. For those however with the time on their hands, good luck to them.
For me, better to name 8 which haven't been 'bettered' yet on the Wii U (Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8 - for example) OR with more definitive versions elsewhere i.e Okami HD (PS3) for example.
In no particular order...Punch-Out!!, Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, Skyward Sword, No More Heroes 1 & 2, Epic Yarn and Kirby's Adventure, Tasunoko vs Capcom, Smooth Moves, Rhythm Heaven, Wii Sports Resort, Star Successor and Shattered Memories. I'm sure I have mi...
Erm, 'interesting' choice of games. For me, Excitebike 64, Blast Corps, Turok 2, Conkers Bad Fur Day and Kirby 64 - besides what is already available and obvious.
The second Nintendo start following any of the 'modern' ideas put forward here, that's when I call it a day. Some of us don't want Nintendo to fall in line, actually preferring cyber philosophy necessity brings innovation'.
Minecraft is an example of videogames and YouTube working well together, but think, not ALL videogames will it prove quite as successful. Besides, some of us (myself included) don't want Nintendo to go down that path.
Huh!? It (Splatoon) has levels of detail, plenty. Also, you say "cartoonish game" like an insult. For me, a breath of fresh air in an industry to attached to creating semi-realistic visuals - usually at the expense of everything else, gameplay (The Order 1886) AND performance (Bloodbourne). Fact is, you say "I'm sure", fact is they (From Software) did NOT.
You REALLY lost it at the end. Wii U, with its "paltry selection of mediocre games". First, this is simply NOT the case. Second, actually the Wii U has a fantastic choice of titles, a dozen or more genuine GOTY contenders. Third, I absolute guarantee you don't own a Wii U and therefore haven't played any of the games in its library - particularly exclusives. Lastly, at least TRY when trolling Nintendo and the Wii U to thinly disguise the fact you are trolling.
What Sega CAN'T. Let it go. Sega simply haven't the resources to develop a Shenmue 3 - certainly not the sequel everybody imagines it could/should be.
