Even if it were true, so what!? Nintendo has a track record of producing GAMES, the very best, unrivalled. If only Nintendo were judged on end product and not the nonsense spouted, no reason the WiiU shouldn't be the best selling console this gen. The casuals/chavs however wont allow it, knowing not nearly enough chav fodder will be available on Nintendo hardware...I want my 6 monthly Cod/Assassins Creed/sports franchise they moan!

Boy oh boy oh boy, are people confusing the term 'casual' with something else entirely - perhaps on purpose? Nintendo (these days) is actually pretty niche, particularly compared with the casuals who pick up either PS4 or XB1 based on little more than hype and PR. Sony/Microsoft is like Apple, NOT the best product, but convincing people unable to think outside the box otherwise. And as for exclusives, reasons to actually purchase a PS4/XB1...I would suggest quite strongly the WiiU has...

Please, please, please bring Rhythm Heaven: The Best Plus to the West sometime soon. Those games are addictive and brilliant.

I'll likely stick with Nintendo on this front, secure exclusives unavailable any place else - just so happen to be some of the finest examples of videogames of all time. Let Sony and Microsoft battle it out for the wallets of the 'casuals'.

I'm sorry, but for an 'adult' - in the truest sense of the word, The Witcher 3 (for example again) would also be "silly entertainment", no more or less than a game such as Splatoon. My point is not this however, simply dont be bamboozled by a games exterior, its still a videogame - for the most part.

I love that some people are considering themselves too old/grown up to be playing Splatoon, like The Witcher 3 is that much more 'mature'. Games like The Witcher 3 (for example) are no more a nobler expression than any other videogame, perhaps even less so - not exactly Papers Please is it? The PC and Wii U combo is definitely the way to go for pure expression of gameplay and games based on slightly deeper themes.

Ageed, but for me however the term 'casual games' should be more applied to COD, Assassins Creed and the like. Nintendo tend to release 1 or 2 games max each gen in its established franchises, considered and polished. So called AAA multi-platform games feel to arrive more and more frequent, 1 or 2 a year perhaps...total unoriginal and mostly always buggy.

Too many comments to read in their entirety, but please, I hope nobody is comparing Microsoft to Nintendo, I can only hope. Nintendo is still king of the videogames, gameplay over everything else, both Sony and Microsoft continue to place emphasis (particularly recently) on bells and whistles, the gameplay usually plays second fiddle. The original Xbox was a good idea with plenty great games to back it up, the 360 less so, and as for the XB1, absolutely deplorable - thus far.

While Wooly World looks great - and I'm sure will be, I can't help seeing it as too much like Epic Yarn. I'll no doubt buy it (day 1), play it, enjoy it, but I just can't help feeling a little short changed at this albeit early stage. I only say this because I have played Nintendo since being gifted a SNES for Xmas, SMW bundled. As for Arkham Knight, I'm concerned it's moving away from what made Asylum so great and what made City (while still very good) less so. As for...

Back in the day = best, easy. Not only console/PC gaming but also the local arcade, a beehive of activity and bold new ideas. The internet in relation to gaming has its pluses, but for me it's brought with it a lot more bad than good.

InBloodycredible! A poor port arrives on the WiiU, all fingers point at the WiiU being 'underpowered'. A poor port - one of many - arrives on the PS4, all fingers point towards the developer. Wake up and smell what you are shovelling, self-proclaimed 'hardcore' types.

For those who see the self-proclaimed 'hardcore' as little more than small minded adolescents, this mod proves otherwise...right?

Gaming will forever remain shallow, trite and in the gutter - at least on Sony and Microsoft platforms. Time will not change this demographic. PC and Nintendo owners are a different breed, much more open to innovation and new directions.

Erm, ok?

Say what you want about the WiiU - many do without even owning the console, but I wish people would stop confusing sales with quality of product. I picked up both a WiiU and PS4 at their respective launches, yet sales aside (God forbid) it is the WiiU which has for me been the more interesting of the two, with a far greater library of AAA games. Each his own - some will never enjoy Nintendo's ideas on gaming, just please stop assuming sales a barometer of quality. Sales normally are more ...

Just watched the trailer. Looks the part, apart from the generic cookie cutter Mad Max. The usual videogame dialogue, that is drivel. I have high hopes since the movie was better than I anticipated - if a little shallow. I suspect however the game will be mediocre, sadly. Time will tell...

This 'news' was pretty inevitable, was it not? I mean, with the recent trend for remasters and the PS4 not currently possessing to much of noteworthy - at least exclusively. I bought a PS4 at launch, having traded in my much enjoyed PS3 (which I also bought at launch) towards it, but is it just me or does anybody else owning a PS4 from trading up feel the jump into 'next gen' simple hasn't happened, and I keep waiting...

@mamotte

Its true. That and when every 'new' COD arrives upon us under a blizzard of PR. Its easy to point the finger at Nintendo these days, appearing as it does a lack of chav fodder is whats missing, right?

For anybody with a modest PC, I own USFIV for my PC - shared graphics card, very basic...USFIV runs smooth as you like.

I understand. The general consensus does seem to be that this game is very good, I'm just talking from my expectations and ideals. Granted, I'm not far in, actually just having encountered my first griffin, but I'm unlikely to play anymore from this point in. Everything just feels so 'meh'.
