What an absolute peach! Remind me - like Nintendo continually do, why is working within the technical 'limitations' of hardware a bad thing, where as trying to force a square through a round hole commendable? As opposed to certain games which will apeal in a slideshow, a series of stills, this will look AND run as videogames should.
Depends on your definition of 'next gen'. For many the term appears to have been muddled in translation. For me, many Wii U games currently fall under the header 'next gen' - that these games simply wouldn't have been possible on its predecessor hardware. I'd be surprised (pleasantly) if Witcher 3 couldnt have been achieved on either PS3 or 360.
Its called intellectual property...
I don't think many people here have played or even seen SM3DW running. A feast for the eyes, running flawlessly at 60fps AND unlike 'tech demos' of late offers new and genuinely brilliant gameplay/level design...and that's the genuine difficulty. Honestly, these examples of late, talk about standing on the shoulders of giants...
If its 'OK' to say you don't enjoy the WiiU and its numerous and varied AAA exclusives, yes, you are damn right its OK to say you don't enjoy bloodbourne. I'm one of those who will all likelihood not enjoy it, based on the fact I didn't enjoy Dark Souls 1 or 2 - while I'm sure well made games.
I would argue that's maybe too fast.
Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2 (or both) in the top 5, easy! For me, Skyward Sword should also make it into the top 5. Probably the most unappreciated game of last gen, easily one of if not thee most innovative...absolute class.
Set-pieces, thinly disguised QTE's. Allow me freedom to play the game as I dictate, not the other way round, for heavens sake!
Almost everything you said, fair enough - I take your point. However, the games you mentioned as a pro on the PS4, the majority of them bombed critically. The rest of them very dubious. If you could just give me 5 games worth buying a PS4 for alone...because I can confidentialy give 5 for the WiiU, must haves.
Ouch. Bumbed your 'next gen' consoles isnt in fact so next gen? Dont get me wrong, I own a very modest PC, Wii U and PS4. I just dont see any problem with the PC version supporting 60fps, after all, the consumer will decide if they want it or not, NOT you.
Why you have disagrees is (to me) a mystery. I for one agree with you. It was pointless, and for those who troll Nintendo/WiiU owners for being 'kids', you should have visited Home, that would have gave you a clear understanding of Sony/Playstation's demographic...
Still, I had a good few games playing pool.
Everybody, Zelda U is delayed, NOT cancelled. That it was due to launch at the very end of the year means the delay could in all likelihood be no more than 3 months - hardly an eternity. If like me you have outside interests other than videogames (and a job), also if you own more hardware than 'just' a Wii U - I own a New 3DS, PC and PS4...finding the time to play every game which appeals is near impossible.
Get some perspective people.
Can I ask for what good reason the WiiU isn't included in this 'discussion'? Don't fob me off with sales - unless you are a shareholder.
I don't require quantity, its quality which should be prioritised - which it looks. Give me half a dozen stellar Wii U games in 2015 and I will feel spoiled. That's not including games for my New 3DS and I'll struggle to find the time to squeeze all them in. How people have that much time on their hands to play nearly every release thoroughly is beyond me...I have outside interests other than videogames.
I only wish like Nintendo online multiplayer was FREE, because that is the only reason I have subscribed to PS Plus in the past. As for the 'free' games and discounts, the majority of games offered are not my bag and the discounts are negligible - in my opinion. I believe needed PS Plus to simply play friends online after it was FREE via PS3 is akin to a broken promise.
Ever heard of paragraph's? LoL. JK. Out of the games you mentioned, yes, No Man's Sky looks particularly brilliant - probably my most anticipated game this year for my PS4. Regarding the other consoles. I highly recommended anybody purchase a WiiU. Its fair to say mine has had far more attention in 2014 than my PS4, which is (sadly) getting more used as a BluRay/catch-up player than a games machine, but I still have hope.
Either way, its Star Fox U as my most anticipa...
I'd buy that for a dollar...oops, sorry, wrong reference.
@XXXL
Oh, was he? Excuse me, but perhaps it because I'm British and you are in all likelihood American, but that is NOT the definition of irony.
@G3n3raL86
I saw it was perhaps a 'joke', but perhaps you hit a nerve. I'm fed up with people expecting Nintendo to offer everything and everything while 'rival' consoles get away with offering sweet fa - barring perhaps quantity over quality.
You make it sound so, so easy. Perhaps you should be in charge, either that or designing the games - with the pure skill and dedication required. Yes, everybody (including myself) would like nothing more than a slew of AAA Nintendo exclusives released in 2015, but I would prefer Nintendo stick with quality as opposed to quantity, as has always been the priority. Besides, I own both a WiiU and New 3DS. If like me you are a Nintendo fan and own both. how you dont feel overwhelmed with games at ...
Skyward Sword for sure deserves a STRONG mention, if not the strongest.
