A list of great Wii games sans Skyward Sword is like a list of football greats without Pirlo, a list of great cars without the F40.

Me? No. Skyward Sword was a revelation, a proper evolution - but the button mashers rejected it, so here we are...

I would have loved to see Zelda U continue on with Motion Plus.

OR you could say it had a beautiful watercolour art style coupled with near flawless 1:1 motion controls. The Wii/Gamecube version of Twilight (while very, very good) was never a masterpiece.

The masses don't want genuinely mature titles, rather adolescent 'mature' all wrapped up in profanity and violence. On a side note, the PC is really taking off again in the gaming scene, coupled with the Wii U and (in my opinion) you have the best bet for covering all bases.

Here we go, again. Honesty, yes it looks better - marginally, but played via the Wii/GameCube hooked up to a good CRT, you would be hard pressed to notice much of a difference (visually). Besides, its 'successor', Skyward Sword really innovated so much going back to button-mashing thereafter feels archaic.

Not at all. This however is exactly why I always back Nintendo - even if I own/owned almost all 'rival' consoles. I buy Nintendo because Nintendo release games I want to play, not game you get told you should.

Please, dont get me wrong. I bought and played Journey for my PS3 and completed it - if thats what you can call it. A good(ish) experience, far from bad, just not the 'perfect' game many sites claim.

I dont say its a traditional platformer, far from it...but it is (if anything) a platformer. Also, no, I'm not 'emotionally dead' simply for not feeling a lot while playing - lets face it - a pretty average videogame.

Depends - the 'who cares' argument. GTAV, COD, Fifa i.e the 'big hitters' will always be a miss - like them or not. Games such as this and Watch Dogs fall into the beige category.

Pseudo intellectual platformer. Definitely not art nor particularly 'moving' that some have dubbed it. A decent distraction, curious and playable at best. 2 out of 5 for me.

Not really a hardship, this. From all reviews it sounds/looks a solid game, good even, but (if like me) you own a WiiU and its collection of AAA games, you have barely scratched the surface of many. A game such as this is not going to be missed.

Agree. I dont even know if I would call it enjoyable. Extremely competent and polished on PS4, yes, but not much enjoyment. Certainly not a patch on Arkham Asylum.

You should try owning a Wii U - and its selection of AAA games. Trust me, you would have NOT felt disappointed over these last 2 years.

Give me a break! Crappy unskilled devs need massive amounts of grunt to get a game running at an inconsistent 30fps whereas Nintendo's own can have a game running at 720p/60fps on far less horsepower. Makes me think of European cars/engines compared with the American alternatives. Less talent for extracting more horespower out of a smaller engine.

I completely agree and disagree. I DONT agree that Street Fighter is a 'tired old franchise'. Old, yes, but tired - judging by IV, definitely not. While Street Fighter V doesnt look the step up that it was going from III to IV, it still looks a tidy sequel. I DO agree however that the PC is still the place to play the most polished and best versions of the series to date. I own IV for my very modest/shared graphics PC, runs at 1080p and 60fps without a hiccup.

Nintendo are a success, NX or not. I've owned a WiiU from day 1(ish). A steady stream of AAA games, so much so in fact I've barely scratched the surface of many. If you want to talk ONLY numbers, its predecessor was a massive hit. I think what we have here is success - to many - equates to becoming beige, offering almost exactly what is available elsewhere. I've always bought Nintendo for the sole reason they are a breath of fresh air - as well as offering some of thee best games ...

Do it! I'm in the same boat. A noose around your neck is all these games symbolise.

Huh? I was one of the few who bought both Shemue and Shenmue II day 1. The original blew me away, technically so far ahead of its time, the sequel (while good) less so. All I'm saying is each game in the series *as you state* is too slow paced to appeal to the casuals who covet COD, Uncharted and the GTA's of this world. No guns, violence (serious) or 'mature' themes. I'll look forward to see what is achieved with Shenmue III - but I won't hold my breath.

This game is absolutely destined to 'fail'. Probably it might be a decent game, but coming off the back of the hype, hysteria and ridiculously high expectations, how can it do anything other than feel underwhelming.
