I'm steering clear thanks. I dont want the memories of what I remember being a good/great game tarnished, something I feel this game would if I was tempted to revisit. Also, if memory serves, the combat got a bit repetitive a bit too quickly. Perhaps I was just doing it wrong...
Oh come on. Unless a PROPER 'remake' is done on Resi 4 similar to what happened with the Resident Evil Remake for the Gamecube, only so much can be achieved with a texture pack. Besides, I would argue Resi 4 (GC) was so finely crafted that play it today on the Gamecube via a good CRT TV, you (even today) will not be disappointed with how it looks - plays still a blinder!
You can say that again.
Yes, because SM3DW is the same as Super Mario Bros is the same as Galaxy is the same as Super Mario World etc etc. I suppose Metroid and Zelda are all "the same game" as well...
He (Mario) IS in a current gen game, SM3DW. It unlike this tech demo looks incredible AND plays incredible - running at a flawless 60 fps to boot.
Rubbish. I understand the point entirely, just don't appreciate it.
Do the plebs want a successful console (sales) or one with a quality library of games? The Wii sold in huge numbers, the chavs blasted it. The Wii U is selling poorly in comparison, the plebs blast it. So, numbers of sales clearly aren't key, right? All I can tell is the self-proclaimed 'hardcore' simply want Nintendo to fall in line, become beige, offer simply all the best selling 3rd party franchises. Except not me. Nintendo are for me a breath of fresh air in an industry fast b...
These tech demos make me laugh. Ask these guys to create a Mario game (for example) from scratch and watch them wilt. The genius is not in upping the resolution but designing a fully fleshed game. Nintendo continue to show the world how it's done.
This is a joke/troll, surely? 'Imagine' Zelda being better than The Witcher 3, 'imagine'!? Erm, ok...ALTTP, Ocarina, MM, Wind Waker, TP, ALBW, etc, etc. TP is (for me) Nintendo doing something so daring and innovative with a staple franchise, the likes of which I have yet seen either Sony or Microsoft attempt - let alone pull off with aplomb.
Funny, I don't remember anybody labelling them 'kiddy' during the Times of the NES, SNES or N64. Those who do throw around these labels should take a long hard look at themselves and ask, am I particularly grown up? An example. Those who overlooked Wind Waker purely based on the visuals missed arguably one of the best adventure games of all time. Animal Crossing, Super Tennis, SMG, etc, etc.
I've not played it myself, but from what I've read/seen, this should have been the case months ago. The Space Ace (arcade) of this gen.
A fairly sorry looking bunch. Luckily I have a backlog of games (WiiU, Steam and Arkham Knight for the PS4) as long as my arm.
Could not agree more. LOVED Asylum, City to an ever so slightly lesser extent, both GREAT games. However, Knight (thus far) has felt - as previously stated - a chore to play. Looks incredible mind you.
This may be true, but whatever reason it doesn't feel like this with my WiiU. Probably I have received lots of updates of many kinds, it may just be said updates are implemented smoother via the WiiU than my PS4.
I've 4 games at present. TLOU, GTAV, Ground Zeroes and Arkham Knight. New to connected gaming machines? Erm, no, quite the opposite in fact. I'm not trolling (I hope) just going off my own experience. Also, unlike many - I suspect, I really have owned my PS4 since launch and NOT commenting on a machine I have no hands on experience with...WiiU trolling anybody? I have also owned a mix of different console manufacturers over the years, too many to list right now.
Ive downloaded and installed more updates for my PS4 than I own games. If I knew this is how it was going to be from the beginning I would have thought twice about purchasing my PS4 at launch.
Not sure the WiiU is my favourite console ever, but its particularly good with a wonderful selection of AAA games. The ONLY reason I see towards it not selling in huge numbers is because the chavs choice of console is either Sony or Microsoft, feeling as they do its the more 'mature' choice. I'm confident enough in myself to not be swayed by popular opinion or heavy advertising. Also, Ive bought every single Nintendo consoles since the SNES and Ive ALWAYS enjoyed each and the game...
Hardly 'free'. Roughly £200 if my maths are correct. Better be REALLY good...
I buy for the Nintendo exclusives, I stay for the 3rd party entries.
Love it. A Satoru Iwata needs to be released to download for the WiiU, either that or EVERY first_party Nintendo title offer a patch in which Satoru Iwata is a playable character. Satoru Iwata running around with Mario and Luigi in SM3DW, or tearing up the roads in Mario Kart 8. Make is so...
