Forget art prints - beautiful though they are, I demand a fully-fleshed out sequel. Yes, Okamiden was good, but not (for me) the sequel Okami deserved. Either that or bring the HD Okami to the WiiU, either way...
I'm not sure about other entries on the list and placing of some, but I find it hard to disagree with the eventual no.1.
Is sad, but not too sad. We as Nintendo gamers got to play these games in their pomp. Playing them now - while the majority still undoubtedly great - will never be the same as playing each on its initial release.
Sorry, If I'm wearing 'rose coloured glasses' then you are perhaps either not old enough to properly grasp or fickle. Yes, the PS4 - as you state - does have 'a ton of games', but I'm talking quality, NOT quantity. Not even that. The WiiU has more than enough games that you may never even scratch the surface of many of them. I have a full-time job, girlfriend, family, friends and other outside interests, my full-time job (unlike many it appears) is NOT videogames.
Is this a bad, bad joke? Sony's consoles have been getting progressively worse - each good (at worst), but comparing the PS1 to PS4 is like comparing a Ferrari to a Vauxhall. The PS1 was revolutionary with an eclectic library of games, the PS4 far more elevator music by comparison. Also, for me, Nintendo with the WiiU and New 3DS has the more interesting library of games - both the 3DS/New and WiiU can be purchased for the price of a PS4.
This looks EPIC.
I'm sorry, what!? A 'huge' Mario skipped the WiiU...er, did it? I guess SM3DW was just a figment of my imagination. My mistake.
Future proof? Not sure either PS4 or Xbox One is that. Only the PC can surely be termed 'future proof', if at all anything can. Also, I'll put SM3DW, Splatoon or Smash against on game on 'rival' consoles, each holding its own graphically (easy)...gameplay/performance is no slouch either.
I'm simply not going to do it. I already own a WiiU, New 3DS, PS4, PC, ZX Spectrum and BBC Micro. My house is beginning to look like a museum to videogames, lol. My only consideration would be trading in my PS4 towards an Xbox One, but for just this game? Not sure. Yes - as you mention, other good games will inevitably arrive, but so will they (probably) for the PS4...I just cant decide. Argh!
Yes, easily - the greatest. Why, oh why couldn't this be releasing for PC? I'm not, I repeat not buying an Xbox One 'just' for this collection...probably.
If burned means a healthy library of AAA games, some of which the best of all time and the majority of which best this gen, then yes, you got burned bad. I own a WiiU, very modest PC and PS4. I can tell you truthfully speaking from firsthand experience, it is my PS4 which is currently getting left on the sidelines - games wise. Great for Blu Ray movies and catch up services, but genuinely exciting games I can't play on my PC, few and far between.
WTF!? Skyward Sword 'relying' on Motion Plus is EXACTLY what made it great, a true classic and revolution of the series. I don't know how or why anybody would want to go back to a 'traditional' control scheme in Zelda after playing Skyward Sword for even 10 minutes.
On this brighter brighter BRIGHTER side, Nintendo have released some of the finest games of all time this gen, be it on the WiiU or 3DS. Yes, it would be nice if the WiiU got the recognition it deserves via sales, but for me, sales just show trends, nothing else, nothing more. Quality will stand the test of time.
Let the insanity begin...
So, become more like 'rival' consoles in other words. I hope not. Each console has its strengths AND weaknesses, none will ever have no 'weakness'. Why do people want to Nintendo to always be all things to all people. For that you have Sony, Microsoft AND the PC, I mean...
Missing out on all Nintendo's AAA library of games because of your stubbornness...tough.
ALL Amiibo will become available at RRP and less, its just a matter of patience. DON'T let scalpers prosper, please. These toys are supposed to be fun, use them as intended, NOT as a means to transforming into Gollum.
Sunset Overdrive I don't care for, but a R&C trilogy 'remaster' unlikely to arrive on PS4...that's a disappointment.
Another DKC? Erm, Tropical Freeze. Arguably the best Donkey Kong in the series only released last yeat and already you want more? Give the guys a break.
Yikes! These are bloody horrible.
Buy a PC if you want 'future proof' or 'beefier hardware' (lol). The WiiU's catalogue of games hold up (graphically) easily next to either PS4 or XB1. Nintendo's games (normally) don't strive for the semi-realistic visual quality. Important matter...Nintendo's staple titles both look AND run fantastically.
