You own said console and games I assume, otherwise why would you be making this comment - I wonder. I've owned a WiiU since not long after launch. Many, many great games I've enjoyed in that time, still due to continue by the sounds of what's incoming, so 'dead' sounds like trolling.

Quite the opposite, but yeah, whatever you say.

Yeah, screw Nintendo offering 'kid' friendly games or features, instead concentrate on what Sony and Microsoft offer the grown ups. For grown ups see adolescents.

Utter tripe! What games for the Wii did the "waggle gimmick" ruin? I can think of too many to list that using the Wii Remote/Plus added to the experience. I'm almost 100% certain you never owned a Wii or indeed a WiiU. I don't wish or want Nintendo to simply replicate features available on 'rival' consoles. Let's be honest, the absolute 'must have' games available on either PS4 or XB1 (at present) are for the most part available cheaper and technically be...

The NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii and now Wii U, all good/great consoles. All the 'more games' talk is bluff. Quantity does not guarantee quality, fact. Nintendo's consoles (and games) have always had strengths and weaknesses, but people (like me) stick with Nintendo because their strengths FAR outweigh their weaknesses. If - and its a big if - the so-called NX is basically a carbon copy of what Sony and Microsoft are doing, count me out.

Thank you Nintendo, its b...

'Free', if you commit to paying £40(ish) per year. Thanks but no thanks. Remember, something is only a good deal if you wanted it in the first place, otherwise you are paying for old rope.

Yes, more, not necessarily better. Also, no issue for the PS4 exists evidently, selling as it does by the case load. I wonder however those (like me) who own both PS4 AND WiiU find the PS4 to have been a huge letdown, and again - like me - wishes not to have traded their PS3's in so soon. See, for me, the WiiU truly is 'next gen' whereas the PS4 more PS3.5.

It did, when I bought it at launch, soon Sony pulled the rug from under my feet. Its funny, Nintendo add features and get criticised for it, Sony take features away and sell shed load of consoles as a result. Also the being forced to subscribe to PS+ just to play games online.

For me, its not about price but more value for money. Yes, the new PS4 price may soon find itself on par with the WiiU's, but I still personally don't consider the PS4 good value - a massive shortfall of games exclusive to that particular console. Its fair to say its best games are still available elsewhere, either PS3 or PC.

If this is what's considered a 'win', or even 'next gen' - stop the ride, I want to get off. Patch after patch after patch, and for what? Trying to bring up to speed an obviously rushed to market game. Besides, hidden away under the shine and exterior lies a trite/grey racing sim.

I dont understand. This IS a "fully fledged" games - like the original. Dark Moon, A Link Between Worlds, New Leaf, Pokemon Y, etc, etc. All complete experiences with 'nowt taken out'.

Whats these "other versions"? because if any of them is PC, no sweat, thats where I pick up all the multi-platform releases not available for my WiiU anyhow - the PC version genuinely being the definitive version.

Not disliked exactly, but after the massive leap in quality from 1 to 2, 3 just left me feeling a little flat. Also I think by the time 3 arrived I'd had my fill of running, cover and gunning - with the occasional puzzle thrown in to mix up the pace.

3940d ago 4 agree3 disagreeView comment

Impossible, surely. Only games which push high graphic fidelity to bring a game to breaking point can win the hearts and minds of 'gamers'. A game which looks to be running on anything other than 'next gen' tech, surely a 'fail'.

Oh, sarcasm.

Mud, sky grass, yes, yes, but does it right Uncharted 3? Most to any game can look good in carefully staged screenshots/gameplay demos, but I'll reserve judgement until I actually have hold of said game.

Enjoy the awesome Wii U software while you wait...yes, thats what I'm doing, but I fear the majority have NO interest in doing that, rather as the would dismiss and knock a console and games - which they have not ever sampled - from a far. Thats what the angry do nowadays.

3940d ago 4 agree6 disagreeView comment

erm, WHAT? No, I dont "only enjoy" Nintendo games. Ive enjoyed many games on the numerous other non-Nintendo systems I have owned over the years, be it Spectrum, Amiga, Genesis, 3D0, Dreamcast, etc, etc. I just so happen to have enjoyed many more games on Nintendo consoles than any other developer - so sue me.

No, is the honest answer. Nintendo has always walked its own path, what Sony and Microsoft do will NEVER please a Nintendo gamer. The Last Guardian and Shemue 3 (for example) - the games which have garnered the most hype will fail miserably under expectations, mark my words. As for the Final Fantasy 'remake', this will no doubt please many, but for me, nothing, never enjoyed that genre of game. Come early 2016 and Sony fans are still waiting on these said games, I'll be playing Ze...

Also, don't try telling me owners of either PS4 or XB1 aren't 'kids'. We are talking videogames here, not high culture - by any stretch of the imagination.

The whole Nintendo e3 thing (for me) is becoming wildly disproportionate. Yes, Nintendo didn't 'own' e3, but on the other hand it gave us New information on Mario Maker, Wooly World and Star Fox - actual tangible information rather than just name dropping. I for one own a Wii U and can't for...
