MM for the 3DS is the remaster to pick up if you haven't already. Not just a straight port but the niggles and irksomes of the original released ironed out to perfection...the definitive version.
Cheap how? I'm not saying its not worth it/value for money, but certainly not cheap - that I've seen anyhow. Excellent game, truly. Sadly I can see this game getting left behind in the clamour for AAA franchises aimed at the casuals. Ironic really, because this is truly 'mature' as opposed to the many titles we are told are but definitely are NOT.
Remind me, what made it so "dreadful"...
I hope so, if only to appease the 'gamers' who have decided the Wii version is such a drag compared with the button mashing Gamecube version. Dont get me wrong, the Gamecube version is the version I bought (and completed) on initial release. Later however I bought the Wii version. The use of the Motion controller was easy and reactive, plus the widescreen format added to the Wii version made everything look more epic.
Hug button is/was enough (for me) to escalate it from a good game to a great game. Remembered from the 8bit days, played to death on the Wii. Chewed meat.
Actually, Bayonetta 2 is one of the least 'mature' games I've ever played, still...own it, love it! No, I'm talking MATURE. Games which don't need violence, nudity or bad language to fall into this territory. I think people constantly confuse the term 'mature' with 18+...
The perfect Halloween release. Another (relatively) mature title. Like Year Walk proves PS4/XB1 gamers aren't interested in mature, I'm glad the WiiU continues to champion these types of experience.
A storage upgrade is both cheap (relatively) and hassle free. No need to keep proclaiming 32gb is the maximum the WiiU will allow...it simply isn't true.
Nitpicking, removing the multi-player component was a miss. Otherwise a fine remaster of a good, brilliant and competent game. I'll be picking it up.
Anybody here actually OWN a Wii U and PS4/XB1 and still feel the Wii U 'needs' a price drop?
Ask anybody who owns both Wii U and 'rival' console and I will be amazed if they didn't get back to you saying the Wii U is incredible value for money as it is, lacking in no area barring third-party titles - all of which are not golden, and a true gamers console. A price drop would do nothing but add a few more numbers up on the board...hardly the important issue ...
Yes. I think basically its a child's 'hobby'. Anybody (such as myself) over the age of 12/13 should feel a little ashamed, more so the older you get. These days I seem to spend more time discussing and/or buying videogames than actually playing them...God knows why? Old habit I cant get out of I suppose. Its all comes down to this...
Between Job, Girlfriend, Family/Dog and other outside interests, how I still justify videogames being part of my life is ridiculous....
Zombie U and Maiden of Black Water.
A good list with many 'must plays', but missing Cave Story!? Still (for me) the best example of 'indie', truly.
I heard also Sony/Microsoft are releasing a 6 monthly instalment franchise soon, and in another 6 months, and so on...
Worst most factually inaccurate troll today...and that is saying something!
Ever heard the saying 'familiarity breeds contempt'?
So many points, not all of which make a point. I'll just say this. Many of the features you mention do not define a GAMES console - DVD/Blu Ray Player for example. Some of the other points aren't even worth highlighting...sixaxis for example - a total gimmick!
Lastly, I HAVE to highlight what you said regarding the PS4, 'devs can do pretty much what they want on it due to the additional power over last gen'. Is that why then (for the most part) games are runni...
People (generally) are so fickle and easily led. Somebody suggested Nintendo 'got lazy'. Well I'm sorry, but what then would you describe Sony and Microsoft doing - after releasing follow ups to PS1 and 360 respectively...
Each genuinely new piece of Nintendo hardware innovatives and surprises, for good and bad. Follow ups to Sony and Microsoft consoles are carbon copies of what came previous. Just goes to show - judging on sales - people covet familiarity.
Hated it!? The N64 controller was a revelation. An absolute joy to hold and use. Only the Gamecube pad (in my opinion) is a better 'traditional' pad. The Dreamcast pad getting an honourable mention.
All this talk of the NX is laughable. A console (possibly) nobody knows nothing about albeit its name - again, possibly. Also, if we were to assume the NX is little more than some jumped up medium specced PC - as is the XB1 and PS4 (of which I own said PS4 as well as WiiU - what would suddenly make for that much better games already available for the WiiU? The WiiU has proven uniquely it can offer looks, performance AND gameplay all in one package to rival the competition, so why should Zelda...
