Great list, just proving when looking past the hacks and naysayers, the WiiU and Nintendo still provide the definitive videogame experience. I could do a top 20 easy with absolutely NO filler whatsoever.
Incredible game, seriously, I can't recommend WW enough, but choosing a top 10 WiiU games, I would prefer to pick 10 exclusive to ONLY the WiiU.
Ocarina! MM is an incredible sequel and brilliant game in its own right, but Ocarina just has that 'X factor'.
Sold!
Who gives a damn if I care "though"? Perhaps nobody. Doesn't stop me stating an opinion regarding said Pachter oracle-like comments. Also, the Dreamcast sold poorly, doesn't stop it being the hipsters latest darling. Now, if only said hipsters had (like me) bought and supported the damn thing on initial release.
I'd be tempted by Dark Souls II, but not quite at this price. Sub £20 and I'd be biting.
2 or 3 games here that would tempt me to bite if the price were VERY low, otherwise I'm OK. Probably shouldn't anyhow, I have a MASSIVE backlog of games.
If 'key third party support' relates to the latest 6 monthly instalment of a trite franchise I couldn't care less. These so-called AAA games usually consist of more hype and propaganda than what is delivered upon actually playing the damn thing. Let me wait a year or two (or three) to get hold of a polished fully-fleshed out Nintendo exclusive over a shallow but regularly released title.
Since Nintendo has the strongest history of locked exclusivity, I doubt it. I can think of many, many ex-Sony exclusive games now multi-platform. Also, I don't see Microsoft making consoles much longer after XB1.
All very well and good - a still image. But screen-tearing and massive performance drops - something synonymous with PS4/XB1...how does that hold up?
Power? POWER!? I've never laughed so hard. Bloody delusional fan boys. Also, any reason the WiiU shouldn't be included in this versus feature? Yes, perhaps we don't have many AAA titles due in 2016, but unless you (like me) already own a WiiU, many, MANY great games are available. Arguably the WiiU is home to the better library of games to date.
It's not Nintendo and its not Waverace. Pass. Please Nintendo, Waverace 3?
Yes, out of stock now. Arrgggghhhhhh!
I'll agree with most if not every game mentioned here, apart from Smash being listed twice - too similar besides WiiU flourishes. Really, really difficult to condense all the masterful Nintendo games down to 10, but for my money you've done them proud. No love for Skyward Sword mind you...perhaps in place of one of the Smash's?
You really, really missed missed a big moment overlooking Skyward Sword simply because it wasn't sub-HD upscaled - as many PS3/XB1 games were. Better than that, Skyward Sword ran like a dream and played an absolute revelation. Epic.
Looks like both PS4 and XB1 are not matching up to all the self-proclaimed 'hardcores' expectations of holding 60fps on almost every game. Also, am I missing something but will - highly ambitious - games released later in the PS4's cycle not simply drop even more frames?
Both consoles are an undoubted step up from previous incarnations, but (whisper it) perhaps not what was initially envisioned...
I'm more and more not understanding why Ninte...
Still unconfirmed. Rumours, nothing but. A Skyward Sword bumped to 720p would be a lot more appealing. A more misunderstood, unprecedented game which is (for me) a revolution for the series - akin to Resi 4.
I had bought and played it before the hipsters adopted it as their own. Groundbreaking game for the time, played today cumbersome and plodding. Not one of those games which had stood the test of time, but for me will always be massively fondly remembered.
Zelda U has been pushed back, yes, but not NX release pushed back. The NX is due Q4 2016 at the very, very earliest - but not even that is likely. Zelda U is due to be released the first half of 2016, likely Q1. Also, this 'power' argument is completely bogus.
Does anybody remember a home console Zelda game - in recent memory - being released to anything other than glowing reviews? I don't know why this should change for the WiiU...the first Full HD Zelda! Eek!
Like launch title The Bouncer on PS2, remember? LOL.
