Kinda like morons that buy another 360 while waiting on the last one to come back from being repaired? (Makes ya wonder how many of the 360's sales are this exact scenario...)
And no games? That's so six months ago, get with the times...
This game is like crack... The single player campaign is great with an awesome story to it, the online is completely addictive with a ton of different online game types.
Intense action, solid online play, a great buy for any PS3 or 360 owner.
The PS3 is region free for games... I'm willing to bet you that people will be making a KILLING on eBay selling the US PS3 version of Assassin's Creed to the regions that don't get it this week... ;-)
Mine are already ordered... Two white DualShock 3's :-)
I couldn't wait for the US release after reading up on them...
I can't wait to give this a whirl...
Between CoD4 and this game, I won't have any free time... ;-)
The screenshots look amazing, if it runs silky smooth looking like that, this game is going to rock...
This is also a shining example of a cross-platform title done right. Every video comparing the two shows a great looking and great running game on both the XBox 360 and PS3. Personally, I couldn't see any significant differences on either platform.
Hopefully other developers (cough... EA ;-) will get their act together and stop making excuses if Infinity Ward has been able to pull off this feat...
Kudos to Infinity Ward for pulling off one GREAT game.
don't judge me, monkey... ;-)
This game looks amazing in all of the gameplay videos. I can't wait to get my hands on the demo!
"If you have a decent job $50 is nothing for a whole year, i mean seriously, if you complain about that you are one cheap ass person. The value of Xbox live far outweighs 50 dollars."
Considering that most if not all of the "value" you are talking about is available for FREE with an Xbox Live Silver membership, then what is really worth the money about a Gold membership?
Silver members have access to all of the same demos, downloadable content...
This game is one of the big reasons I picked up a 360. Now if only I can talk my buddies into getting the Ace-Edge bundle as well... ;-)
Online dogfights with the flightstick controls would be absolutely insane... Count me in.
Just like cable companies and digital satellite providers get more HD programming in their limited bandwidth. Reduce the resolution to 1280x1080, and it will look good when it is slightly upscaled to 1920x1080, but it does not take as much bandwidth as a native 1920x1080 signal would.
But still, a 1280x1080 signal upscaled to 1920x1080 will definitely look better than a 720p signal upscaled to 1080p... ;-)
The 20 and 60GB models are discontinued, they are no longer being manufactured.
I'm going to hit all my buddies up to pickup a 20GB PS3 while they can. WiFi is nice, but having full backward compatibility for less than $400 is sweet...
Why not just get all three and have the best of all...
Yes, I own a 360 and a Wii, but my PS3 is my primary gaming machine...
With a 160GB drive in my 60GB model PS3, it rocks as a media center machine as well... ;-)
Where you have people that got a Wii just for the novelty Wii Sports. You're talking about a market segment that MIGHT buy two games a year.
Good thing that Nintendo is making money off of the consoles from the beginning... Because they sure don't seem to be making the killing off of software they should be with all of those consoles sold...
"Like the PS3 will survive 10 years. And even if it does, who in their right mind would be playing it if MS released a new and much much more powerful console 3 to 5 years from now?"
Then explain how the PS2 has not only survived, but also prospered even though Microsoft has released TWO systems that are more powerful than it is.
I wouldn't be surprised if Sony doesn't keep 'ol Crazy Ken around as a consultant for things like this...
They just NEED to keep him off in the background and AWAY from press events... ;-)
"You kids keep trying to convince yourselves you didn't waste 600 bux, but I know better, and apparently most of the 360 fans do to, because they are all away from this site playing games most of the time, while you guys are on here having these ridiculous vigils to Sony."
If this is true, then why are there so many XBox 360 fanboys trolling PS3 articles? And what about all of the ridiculous Microsoft vigils posted on this site calling the 360 failure rates FUD? (ask...
Now take this into perspective...
A PC with a 300Mhz CPU, 32MB of RAM, and 4MB of video RAM is not all that capable of gaming at today's standards. Todays games have progressed WAY past what this machine is capable of, right?

Those are the specifications of the Playstation 2, which is holding up pretty darn well considering t...
The hypervisor is not a piece of hardware, but more like a traditional BIOS on steroids.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
The hypervisor virtualizes out all hardware access, meaning that sony probably requires some kind of secured access to use the RSX chipset.
Honestly, I'm more interested in seeing if eventually the Intel dev kit for realtime ray-tracing gets ported to PS3 Linux. Und...
Just wait and see what people will come up with... This game is going to be amazing, and has the potential for some very creative level creation by the PSN community.
This has a real chance of being a BIG hit with casual gamers, and with the $399.99 40GB PS3 coming up soon this has a real chance of taking off.
I've had mine for about a week as well...
If nothing else, they will be worth it for the more solid feel compared to the original SixAxis...
Ratchet and Uncharted both rumble, as well as every PS2 game I've tried in my PS3. And it seems like any demo released after the 1.94 firmware update has rumble enabled.
Now if only Infinity Ward would put out a rumble patch for CoD4... :-|
