PS4 Pro for exclusives, X1X for multiplats if you can swing having them both AND the highest Q settings are important to you on console. Just make sure you keep buying play anywhere titles when the time comes that MS realizes they should make a console like interface for windows.

Well, I keep seeing reports of 1080p 60fps performance mode for a number of 3rd part and 1st party games. Multiplats running at 4K while Pro is running 1440-1800p. If quality settings are important to you, might be worth a look. I've got one pre-ordered but I'm still on the fence. I don't understand why MS isn't talking more about specific capabilities if running games at the best Q is their whole mantra.
If they were able to hit mostly 60FPS at all times on PS4 Pro Battlefield 1. If memory serves I think they hit 1400p +checkerboard on that game, (or supersampled 1080p). So the X1X should be solid 60fps same res maybe 1800p with dynamic res on WWII.

This news and video pushed me to pre-order another system. 1080p 60fps Ultra effects is all I have been waiting for. Same thing can be done with a $400 PC video card if your PC is setup to the TV but you still need to fiddle and tweak settings. Many gamers prefer to push a button on their controller and just play. Goosebumps? These consoles, X1X or PS4Pro are not going to give us too many 60fps experiences which today, really should be standard. The CPU choices for both of these systems was poorly considered. Still, nabbed a Scorpio edition for a bud, upgraded my X1S with larger drive I had laying around, Pro is good for exclusives. Both BenQ BL3200PT's I own are capable of 1.07 billion colors but don't support HDR. Guess I'll never know what I'm missing. Raytracing takes hours per frame to render for movies. Good luck seeing it in consoles or PC anytime soon. Maybe 15 years, mass market at $399. We have a long way to go, but whatever developers come up with to look nearly as good will certainly be available much sooner. Just give us the sizzle, I can wait for the steak.
I think we're going to be seeing a ton of Xbox One S and Swtich sales this holiday. The system itself is slick, slightly more powerful than the original Xbox one, 4K blueray, it just kinda makes sense. That old Jaguar CPU is going to hold the system back, just like the PS4 pro. Now if MS gave us a system that offered 60FPS standard for all 1080p owners, ultra settings with AA along with an option for 4K 30FPS, then It would be a must own. Yet, I've read nothing concrete regarding this.

Well, I spent some time with the game today first on PC then PS4 Pro and was planning to download for X1S but no longer. I own the first after a flash sale with expansions and unfortunately I'm having the same experience. The engine and graphics are impressive, the sound in incredible but it feels like just another run and gun COD/Battlefield game with a Star Wars paint job. I'm a life long Trek fan, of course we had many hundreds of hours vs. a few movies for the last 30 years or so...

Good luck going up against a 287 "Tone Patrol". The elemental damage with precision kills (headshots) also gets other players nearby. Bets scout in the game IMO
