GTX 970 4gb 6700K 16gb DDR vs my PS4 and I always find myself on the couch with the PS4. Nice large sofa, giant TV, more social; simple to jump on and is the center of the family room.
I love downloading demo's and tweaking the settings to see what the PC can do, but the differences are not so substantial. Console software saavy is already getting much sharper as they always do using the same hardware for what 6-8 years? There's just something great about buying hard...
Bought the original PS3 20gb at launch, upgraded to a 320gb drive and it was a great investment. Must have played 2000+ hours easy on that old machine.
During it's life I think I bought 3 Xbox RROD's off ebay for dirt, reseated the heat sink with bolts and they all but one eventually went over a few years of use.
If Sony does one thing right, it's making great hardware. Only issue I ever had with the PS3 is the HDMI port went maybe 5 years in, m...
Excellent, now how on this earth did they manage to build a following who are willing to pay money to test the game so it can be developed further?
I would love to check out this epic Wing Commander successor. So how about a free download where I agree to give you anonymous technical data and specific user feedback to lend a hand.
Meh....
I just bought a 6700K 16gb DDR4 with a 970GTX for work purposes. Even though I have it piped into my living room for 1080p gaming, I couldn't see spending $600 on Oculus to run it at bare minimum even with those specs. Their device is clearly meant for SLI $2000+ setups. I don't think there is much of a market there. Even PC game developers target all games currently for my card which most PC enthusiasts have. That being said, a low cost living room solution to do VR and PS4 gaming is...
PSVR - $329, I'm calling it. That's the Sweet spot and it will fly off the shelves.
I'm very much looking forward to "DOOM". Good luck everyone.
With any hope and luck we'll all be doing so well to just buy both systems as them come down and enjoy more games. If you have high speed internet and HDTV's to play these systems on, how bad is anyone really doing anyway not to afford both and cut the BS already.
I'm a long time gamer, like Rygar & Alex Kid days. Not expecting to change anyone's mind of course, but shit people, we do play games to have fun remember?
Pretty thankful for taking care of my family and somehow having time to keep playing games late night. It's a great hobby; home entertainment at it's best.
Fallout 4 and Witcher were the only two games I purchased on or near launch Day.
Witcher is just an amazing game, it's crafted story driven system and beautiful world are a true accomplishment.
Fallout 4 is also beautiful from a distance, it's up close you start to see the problems but it also has that special quality Fallout 3 had; which I think most Bethesda works share. You simply want to explore everything. The damn settlement building has becom...
Excellent work, but STILL no Stereoscopic 3d Support for consoles, c'mon guys!
We will get it. In time all games will run 1080p 60fps on both consoles as developers learn to tweak the systems. Then, we'll see stereoscopic 3D after they stretch those frame rates to compensate for the loss in resolution. Remember gears of war in 3d; think it ran at 540p coop and it was f'n awesome! Or Uncharted which was 720p in 3D and it was just sick. That all happened years after all mainstream was running 720p, outside of those small indies running 1080.
Let t...
PS3.... "Resistance" which was a 1st party launch game vs "Last of Us" on the same hardware like what 6 years later? DX12 in the next progression of the standard Xbox and PC are using, nice they actually have a cross platform standard that works so well.
Let's keep it in perspective though. PC lovers chuck money into hardware because developers have limited software optimization techniques across many types of different hardware.
Conso...
This one was 90 days before release, you really need to hand it to them; Bethesda sure made us wait but did it the best way. I'd much rather hear nothing and wait 3 months till release than BS about it for 2 years and sift though all the pointless click bait articles and conjecture.
However, the game is not done and will not be done come November 10th, despite it being released. There will no doubt be a plethora of bugs, crashes and problems with a semi broken game and th...
indeed it would.
Still no stereoscopic 3d support. Boo!
How is this still a thing? PC's running at high end specs cost 3-4 times as much as either console. It's not even a good comparison.
I used to keep upgrading my rig every 2 years dropping another $250 on a good video card to run the latest games. That's just dropping cash and buying hardware for the game; which I have it admit, is a lot of fun getting the games to run as beautifully as the developers intended. Crysis, Farcry, Witcher 3, Skyrim, list just goes on ...
Been waiting for a great Halo game to come around; haven't enjoyed the series since Halo 3 which was incredible on 360. Not very impressed with the graphics and doesn't look that much different than last gen. Also, some of the animations such as people jumping ledges, debris falling, etc. just do not look very polished. At least not polished enough to consider this built ground up utilizing the most power, etc. etc. Enemy disintegration did look pretty nice however.

GOTY without question. Just so disappointing we can't play this game in stereoscopic 3D on PS4; a very underrated feature.
Who cares? I loves me some Witcher 3, best RPG since Fallout 3 but the way Bethesda did it is the way it should be done. Work on it like it's a passion for years then announce the wait is over 90 days before release.
It'll chop the BS click bait articles, conjectures and utter nonsense we read about for games releasing years later in half. It's pointless and does nothing but distract us from doing what we enjoy, playing games that are available.
I'll run this game on a 6700K 16gb DDR4 with a GTX970 4gb pumped into the living room using a PS4 controller via DS4 windows. I think it's great news we'll be seeing more exclusives on windows 10. It should run flawless 1080p at 60fps, but I'm sure the Xbox counterpart will still look and play great, even at 30. Plus many TV's can add frames such as LG's "trumotion" which really does make a nice difference in game. I hear they just reduced the price of an X1 ...
