Before you do, make sure all the games you have are still offered on the Xbox store. I've found many of the old school arcade games which I purchased cannot even be downloaded anymore. The only thing you can do with them is transfer them to a USB stick, not backup, transfer. Just make sure your USB stick is quality and won't fail. I still have my old Xbox 360 Slim with all the old games on it thankfully, but I lost all my games on the older style 360 not realizing you couldn't get...
PSVR Grand Tourismo bundle is now $199 on sale at Gamestop. Between this, Doom VR and Star Trek bridge commander it def raises a Vulcan eyebrow. I for one think Sony VR system will hit high warp when Gen 2 comes out with wireless.
A lot of back and forth with a bud of mine on this subject. Keeps telling me that the 60fps doesn't matter much, until he plays a title running at that level then he gets it. Still it's not enough to break the "convenience of the console" vs upgrading the PC and dealing with setup/settings for use in the livingroom. I get it, but these systems X1X and PS4 Pro would really be something if they could achieve 60fps open world. Still puzzled why devs just don't give us the o...
I'm playing this trial tomorrow while it's snowing.
Dfoundry does some great work but please stop saying "Full Fat". Fun as this game can be, it should be running at 60fps with dynamic 4K/checkerboard depending on your console. Bungie's lack of savvy is at fault here, not the BS excuses about limited CPU, omg physics, etc. which doesn't stand up against numerous other titles targeting and achieving 60fps on the same hardware.
A new trailer that raises more questions than it answers, smart move. The game engine looks top notch along with that unique Kojima style. I expect great things from their studio, hands no longer tied to better orchestrate with creative freedom.
Not at all bud. A nice lunch for two can come to $55 bucks easy, which can last just over an hour and you wind up flushing that all down the toilet later. ;-) There are few other hobbies that grant us so many hours of fun with friends for the same cost. Easily justifiable.
I'm not interested in what Bungie thinks, clearly their shiat don't stink but by the time I pick up ALL the expansions the entire package will likely be 20 bucks, a nice deal. Also, years of work goes into these games at the current state, lacking though it may be, in my opinion it's worth the price of admission for the amount of time we get out of it. Odd though they gave us such barebones at launch considering all the work and tweaking they put into D1. Took like a year for that...
After 305 and around 40 hours, we can't seem to pick it back up without much else to do. Still 40 hours of kickass coop for $55 bucks, where else can you have such fun for $1.40 per hour? Well worth it IMO. Looking forward to picking up the season pass for $20 bucks late next year, that'll give Bungie sometime to digest a giant slice of humble pie, add new content and fix a number of things.
Own the Beast, it's nice but I'm getting tired of playing enhanced old games. The current multiplats are better than pro but it's barely noticeable in game and even those results have been mixed with some titles showing the opposite. Looking for something new but it doesn't seem like anything AAA new is coming out in the near future. Most holiday purchases can be returned until Jan 15th, the same day the patch for Horizon 3 comes out. However that patch is likely going to be 4...
Match up against? How about stands up to Giant robots, lighting control, incredible graphics, sound, grappling hook rodeo, wall hugging PVP, PVE horde mode and free updates forever. Titanfall 2 - Best FPS this gen IMO.
I was hoping NFS Payback was the spiritual successor having some of the old team on board from paradise, but it didn't work out so well. ;-(
It's a track based racing game tech showcase and it's shiny. Let me know when Burnout Paradise redux rolls out in 4K 60fps on console.
2018 - PS4 AAA Lineup - Days Gone, TLOU2, Detroit, Spiderman, Death Stranding, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus and Final Fantasy 7 (remakes count).
2018 - Xbox AAA Lineup - Crackdown, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2. All of which are available on Play Anywhere via PC with better potential performance YMMV depending on your rig.
Like many of you, gaming is my fav hobby and stokes my inner geek. I own them all and have run comparison tests between same ...
I would have to agree, the X1X does feel like it performs close to a GTX 1060. Yet Gears 4 running on a GTX 970 1080p Ultra, looks far better and more stable than X1X's 60fps target "performance" mode. With input flip comparisons, same controller, it's just runs and looks better powered by PC. It's nice to be able to switch games on systems and everything synces up and cross plays on Xboxlive for free, with party chat via play anywhere. 1440p also runs at 55-60fps on hig...
I have one, along with pro and a gaming PC. Was skeptical at first, then excited, now have experience using it for the past few weeks and have run MANY comparative tests switching inputs between all systems. I think for someone who doens't have a PS4 Pro and doesn't have a convenient setup for PC living room gaming, it's a great upgrade. For someone who just recently bought an Xbox One S, it's also a nice upgrade, nothing groundbreaking but you really need to love the Xbox fam...
Growing weary of waiting for developers to decide how and when to use the juice. Should be more like popping in a new GFX card, instead it's wait and see just like the Ps4 Pro was. That took a year or so to see good results with a few surprises and disappointments along the way. The "beast" remains in it's cage.
I own a PS4 Pro, gaming PC I7 GTX 970, and Xbox 1 X. Bought one for a friend and for myself and after 3 weeks evaluating it, I'm just about settled it's going back before Christmas. I'll be picking up either a Vega 56 or GTX 1080 when the right sale comes along. What I noticed in my time with the box is the multiplat games run slightly better than my Pro. While the best games are MS exclusives, they are all available for PC and I will always buy the play anywhere titles. I thoug...
Well it's a great question for Quora.
I learned the hard way as well, just lucky I DL'd everything to a removable drive for the slim. Sucks about the save file not working, I empathize.
