Knowing the current state of video game development, required updates and time involved isn't necessarily a requirement of purchasing a gift. However, considering the content which kids have access to, should teach you all you need to know, what is expected and what you need to protect your kids from. Research, decide and then plan. Zero tolerance these days for being unaware considering how easy it is to inform yourself and accordingly prepare.
6.5-7 is just my opinion at the current state of the game, no trolls thx. https://www.youtube.com/wat...
The SWBFII backlash affected sales. EA cares about sales. Anthem will have micro transactions but will be tempered not to piss off the gaming community. When bad decisions equate to tens of millions in lost revenue, rethinking is required to please their shareholders.
PUBG is a 6.5-7 at best. Fortnight 8.5-9
"Need for Speed Payback On Xbox One X Features Many Graphical Improvements Over The PS4 Pro" Yet still manages to look and run like crap on both consoles... ;-( Was really hoping this would be the next burnout paradise, giant let down. Recently heard Burnout Paradise is being remastered.
I play supersampled 1080p (4K games) on a quality 65" about 10ft away. I've also played 10ft. in front of a similar 4K, there is little noticeable difference in res from your couch unless you get up and stare at the screen 3-4 ft. away. Titanfall 2 is a great example if you are able to compare. The biggest difference I've seen has been HDR. I'll take 1080p dynamic res to 4K then supersampled graphics to hit 60fps any day over 4K 30. I don't think anyone really believes a ...
Hopefully, we'll soon see.
Now THIS is an excellent patch. CDprojektred, best devs this gen IMO.
Yep, CPU's are limited this gen for 60fps open world games. Fallout 4 and witcher 3 PC 60fps is pretty epic at any res 1080p ultra and up. Still there are a few games that can manage it and do offer enhanced framerate at 1080p res. Would like to see better support for those options.
When people are starving, they eat anything.
100% agree. Just give us the option of 1080p 60fps (or 1440p 60fps if capable) along with the marketing maestro's 4K target. Doing nothing will only expand the PC gamer player base.
If they released the game as an open beta they would get a larger player base and more data to tweak the console version. Priorities.
Popular as in the number of discussions and analyses the hot mess of a port PUBG incites?
It's a great piece of hardware on paper but the CPU and parity keeps the beast on leash. I would have loved to see what X1X could have been with at least an I3+ processor to give us better than 30fps for anything outside a track or corridor.
Charging for a game with such a number of issues is the problem. The feedback and data from all the players is used to improve the game so it's ready for primetime and available for purchase. PUBG on Xbox would have made a nice free open beta wouldn't you say?
Good ol' Jack Burton, right on.
The list should really read like this.
Crackdown 3 - Windows/Xbox Play Anywhere
Sea of Thieves - Windows/Xbox Play Anywhere
State of Decay 2 - - Windows/Xbox Play Anywhere
Ori - Windows/Xbox Play Anywhere
The Last Night - Xbox Exclusive
Now I'm not sure which of those supports crossplay like Forza Horizon and Gears 4 does (it's pretty slick btw) but chances are most will. MS made a big deal of PUBG but didn'...
Not surprised as the "beast" is no PC and this game clearly requires a hefty CPU. PUGB on console needs work and gamers shouldn't support devs who offer this level of optimization at launch, early access (not done) labels or otherwise.
Um... No, I don't think so. PUBG barely reaches and maintains 30fps and needs an I5 or better at the current state of optimization. Here's the Digital Foundry analysis https://www.youtube.com/wat...
No one cares. Give me a Destiny complete version with all expansions for $25 bucks next year and then I'll pick it up. Maybe by then everything will be worked out.
