Please, please, don't kick the franchise in the ribs while it's down with a prequel. Better storytelling, better engine and keep tweaking the combat.
Metro Exodus will look awesome and will satisfy it's niche as always. They never seem to hit AAA but make some really nice games. PC will look great, PS4 Pro will look great, XB1 will look just as great but certainly not better especially since it's just releasing. It's perfect for those who want increased resolution to support 4K, but don't really care much about 60FPS for every title. 4K TV owners make up about 20-25% of the market. 4K TV owners who prefer MS for console gaming who knows, but it's certainly not the entire 20-25%.

Pre-ordered X1X for a bud who isn't into PC gaming, perfect for couch gaming jockies. I'm still debating going GTX 1080 and sticking with "Play Anywhere" exclusives for MS titles and PS4 Pro for multi-plats. It can always get worse. By the time we actually start playing the exclusives to really see what the X1X can do, it will be late 2018. The PS5 will then be announced and the Sony steam train will continue to build momentum. MS really needed to bring the games this holiday season and with crackdown delayed, not that it was AAA but exclusive at least; all they have for launch is Forza on rails. If the devs do on X1X what they are doing on PS4 Pro, then don't worry you'll likely have a high frame rate mode, which targets 60FPS....at 1080p.

PS4 Pro does this and it looks like a perfect image, no aliasing and very smooth. Titanfall and Fallout4 are great examples of this but I've noticed it in most all games. From what I understand the dev's hit their target res to upscale to 4K (Wipeout runs native 4K) and if the display isn't there, they just render at high res, then downsample to standard HD 1080p. A number of devs even give us in game options to run at 1080p with better fps and/or effects or supersampled to 1080p ...

Been hoping for a pro patch for DYing Light. Techland is big on community support and they've released multiple versions/updates and content already. They still support it, maybe we'll see some graphical improvements to clean up the jaggies. Was the same on PC, I installed the demo to compare. Probably the best Zombie game I've ever played though.
There is no console war, there is only misplaced allegiance from a loud minority who empower themselves through exclusivity. True gamers just find as many deals they can to satisfy their hobby for enjoyment. Competition is good for everyone, save the tears for fights worth fighting.

Ps4 Pro runs it at 60FPS and looks pretty damn good compared to PC. Plus it's 25 bucks right now for the digital version, No one is switching a disc to play this on an off, but press a button to explore and veg for awhile, it's worth it today in that way.

Oh c'mon in 2 months, just pickup a slickdeal for 1 year at $35-$40 bucks. Happens every year during the holiday season for both Xbox Live and PS+. Both services give you enough quality games to justify the cost.
