Actually, I just bought one. Came to $199.99 no sales tax & free shipping. That was a nice deal to check out MS's platform. Gamers love all games and an old timer I know will appreciate the upgrade from an Xbox 360 when the X1X is ready for primetime in my livingroom.
I've been itching to "jump in" to the MS platform but at $500 + tax, accessories, MS Live and a single game it's going to be like an $750 leap. Without exclusives coming out on or near launch, there is really little reason to make this investment. I was just looking online and see Newegg's ebay store is offering an Xbox One S Mincraft bundle for $200 bucks right now.
Exactly, NFS Payback which is more like burnout paradise will run at 4K 30fps and more than likely 216op checkerboard 4k. Like WTF. Should at least give us a 1440p option for 60fps even 1080 60FPS with supersamling. Point being, open world..... 30FPS. Not cool for brand new hardware.
Well, this was the best $85 bucks I've spent in a long while.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/p...
The arms can move up and down independently and with the neck pillow it's just right.
I agree with this. I have a gaming PC and pipe it to my living room via 50ft HDMI and USB cables for the bluetooth dongle using a dualshock 4. Despite being as close as I can get on PC to couch console gaming, I'm always having to fiddle with settings, some support is lacking depending on title and it's just wonky compared to powering up the consoles and just having everything work right. I've been saying MS should just release an Xbox UI for windows which would make things bette...
Really good point there. BF1 runs at 60FPS on PS4 Pro. A sight to behold.
Yeesh, why all the downvotes? @DarthV72 is absolutely right. Spiderman 3 with Toby and everything since has been meh. The first Amazing Spiderman with Garfield before he snuffed Sony's head honcho was decent, but c'mon 2 reboots from 3 versions within 15 years! Sony totally mangled that franchise. Meanwhile Insomniac has produced many solid games over the years which have a special quality to them.
"Since Intellivison to be exact. Remember those days?" My cousins owned one and I was a little guy playing it all day every time we went over. Never forget those days in gaming, that and ZORK. 4K is just a marketing mistake that led an industry and we're simply not there yet for $500. There's something to be said talking numbers, but 4K 60FPS will be limited on current hardware. Wipeout PS4 Pro and Forza X1X @ E3 are good examples, both racing games of course. I think this ...
No, but you'd need to try and see wipeout omega on ps4 pro, it's pretty incredible.
Boost mode really did fix a lot of problems. I've played many to test. Patched games have been hit or miss but generally adds details I appreciate. Not to mention Pro is faster and the 1tb feels never ending compared to the stock 500gb PS4. I was against the idea of a mid cycle upgrade at first but I've come to see it's worth it.
No-one wants the game to run at 30fps. Gamer or developer.
I run Gears at 1440p High/Ultra 60FPS on a GTX 970 4gb. X1X should AT LEAST be able to do 2160p checkerboard to 4K 60FPS considering it's such a powerhouse as they say. The more news such as this that comes out, the more I am rethinking owning one and have started to research better graphics cards for less money. I wonder how much a GTX 1080 will be come November, they are $499 now.
Is this the definition and example of feeding the trolls? N4G, opinion articles and a gaming news site. One of these things does not belong.
I'm also looking for the best looking versions consoles has to offer that's why I own a pro now, wasn't disappointed. Though I will say PC gaming on a 32" 1440p on high ultra is pretty damn impressive. 4k is overkill with the current games only a select few will have setups for IMO.
It's not really though. Anthem, 2160p checkerboard, same as pro. Destiny 2 30fps, no AAA exclusives. I was seriously contemplating buying one after skipping last gen. They might need a year or two. Nice about the cross system compatibility though and the accessories, finally right.
Downvotes for no crossplay? Maybe I was referring to N4G's terrible anchor code. Yeesh!
Dumbasses. Nothing more.
You are right on target. The best exclusives will be play anywhere titles like Gears and Forza so you'll get those on PC and will run them better. If MS was smart, they'd release an XBOX UI for PC and allow the power players to join in. Right now we have Steam, some wonky Xbox live app with crap chat support and a bunch of other messy systems.
Except it'll be gimped by last gen nonesense and full power won't be utilized until/unless there are X1X exclusives which likely won't be, same as pro. Destiny to run at 30FPS, I mean I know bungie has it's own issues, but really? Will run 60FPS just fine on an equivalent perhaps lower spec PC.
Lightning in a bottle.
They should space AAA games out, look what happened with Titantfall2, one of the best FPS's to come out in a long while. Diminished sales because of all the other releases that month.
