What is happening here?
You are talking about
a) consoles that have yet to be released. You know some of their tech specs but you do not know how well those parts will play together. You simply cannot judge the performance of a console based on the specs you have read. There is so much more going on (for example: CPU/GPU are running on the same chip, eliminating some serious bottlenecks you have in your PC setup) than "oh, it has a XGHz CPU". The graphics ...
I think his point is:
"If you take the top 10 pc games for 2013 and pit them against the top 10 console gamesfor 2013 who wins?"
Noone. War ended.
Check your facts again - no AAA-Games? And even if that wasn't the case - who cares? A Game should make fun, there are a lot of indie-games I would take over AAA-titles any day.
PC is still leading the pack when it comes to...well...everything.
There is no such statement from Rockstar, the PC version _will_ come, I'm sure about that. It just will be (again) horribly late in comparision to the console.
(Also: If it's as bad as GTAIV was on PC, they can (should) leave the PC alone)
In those games where I can I generally start those missions by shooting the people I have to protect. I hate them. With every little fiber in my body I hate those people.
Can't really see the that one would argue against sexual content but not against violence.
Sexual stuff is everyday-stuff. You experience it from day to day, whether you're a man or a women makes no difference. It also plays a major role in advertising, TV, movies, books, discussion - really, everywhere you look.
Violence on the other hand is not - at least not in that drastic amount. The game deals with the problems of coming from a "normal" life and gettin...
Also - they wouldn't have a website any longer.
Did YOU read the article? It doesn't make a point at all, like really: NO POINT.
They cite another site, which makes a point, and just some random tweets of random people on the internet. That's really not making a point.
Also - is it really that hard to believe that people simply do not care about race? I played it, and it never even crossed my mind. Isn't it kind of racist (at least - subconcious) to notice and react to the races depicted in the game? W...
Also - a lot of the indie games sold before in the humble bundle used Steam as well...
Language is not something you make up and everyone has to go the route which has been laid down before them. Language is evolving with the people speaking it - you probably should grow up and finally realize that you are not the center of the world.
You don't see people complain about the Simpsons? Have you been to the internet before?
However - despite all the hate the Simpsons get:
I still love them. They are still funny as hell. And they still deserve that reserved spot every monday evening in my time (It's airing somwhere at 4am on Mondays by my local time - so I'll watch it after work. Ah - who am I kidding. Generally I have watched it before I go to work)
Also - if it really was their concern that it would fragment the community, why not just give it to everyone? No, either take it away or let those who preordered have it. There is no other solution!
I'll pirate it for sure first time around. After the horrible experience with GTAIV, I simply do not trust R* any longer when it comes to PC games. Of course - if it's done good, I'll buy it afterwards. But if it is just a horrible port again, I'll simply go over this one (or go to the console version instead).
Yeah, one should think that. And then you played GTAIV...
I still stand my ground that this is a political thing rather than anything else.
Obviously you won't get the same answer every time, especially if we are talking about R*.
GTAIV for example was released on PC (as a horrible, horrible port), L.A. Noire was too, but Red Dead Redemption wasn't.
The humanity! We will surely die soon because people could not be convinced that playing COD will eventually destroy the world. Stupid, stupid sheeple, those CoD-players.
Saying "it looks cool" heavily implies that you mean the game looks cool, not the graphics of that game...
They are probably trying to figure out a way to sue themselves without losing money but gaining some. There has to be a method. There just has to be one...
Which is still just wrong. People cannot say whatever they want, at least not without consequences. If you straight out lie in front of a judge while sitting in a court of law, you're going to have a bad time doing that. If you swear directed at other people, you gonna have a bad time as well.
You cannot say whatever you like without accepting that it may have consequences - there are some boundaries and you have to accept those.
And of course a service restrictio...
Honestly - I don't believe that. Would guess that they are aiming at bigger setups which utilize multiple display, pushing the resolution way beyond 1080p. At least I'd think that's the goal ultimatively.
