I like the game concept & am looking forward to playing it... but I'm somewhat at a loss to how enamored some ppl are with this gamed! Looks fun but pretty simple... still as puzzle games go, it'll probably be pretty good. Definitely something new.
Exactly! I want to play PES 08 and compare to FIFA 08. I also want to read up more on the team management aspects available in both of them. I haven't bought a FIFA game since 05 but I do like the demo. Just waiting to see if I like PES more!

Well remember the Ratchet & Clank demo is scheduled for Oct. 4... that's next week! So yea, I'm VERY pleased with the demo releases lately.
I'm still considering a Lair purchase after hearing how much some of my friends like it... I'm hoping that they still release a demo of that as well so I can try it for myself.
In a linear space???? UT games have WAY more content and options than Halo! It is much faster paced though... in my opinion, that's a good thing though! Much more adrenaline pumping action.
No, it's flaimbait. Because both developers have already announced that they only want their games out on the PS3. This was just reconfirmed AGAIN for both FF XIII games at TGS.
They really don't need the 360 for great sales numbers... the games will sale consoles and games by themselves.
And by the time UT3 is finally released on the 360... it'll be too late for the sales to catch up with the PS3 & PC versions. Make no mistakes about it, UT3 is going to se...
It has been admitted, by reviewers, that M$ does not 'buy' reveiews but they do grant perks to reviewers and basically kill them with great service when journalists want to get new info or previews... and that's really how a company should be.
On the other hand, they do own some of the media outlets that gave the outrageous reviews though (not GS or IGN, but some of the tv and print outlets).

I'm only speculating b/c we read the news last week of how they're halting PS3 development while they weigh the results of the Halo 3 launch....
And before the Sony fanboys get upset... I'm only speculating. I actually favor the PS3 as my favorite console. (sad that we have to include those kind of disclaimers :-( )

The only thing I can think of is a confirmation of MGS4 being moved up as rumored... back to Winter 2007. That'd be pretty big (and different than most kind of video game news as games are usually pushed back not up).
I find it hard to believe that they have any serious news that has not already been alluded to at any of the recent gaming events. They probably have some news on Halo revenue or something like that... and if that's it, that's pretty lame of them.
I can't even imagine it being the announcement of some type of new game... while that may be good news, not exactly of the "bigger than we've ever done before" variety. Price cuts? Same thing... good news, but not hype wort...
This and Folklore are definite buys for me next month!!! Just wish at least one of them were coming earlier in the month instead of later (but I'll probably buy Skate anyway).
I want to buy Eye of Judgement too, but that's going to depend on the Nov release schedule... have to buy Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Haze, & UT3 also!!! :-)
I agree that this is next-gen entertainment at its finest. However, let's not compare every game that comes out to the other system... there's no need.
I do hope that this is the start of an awesome new genre of games. I must admit, I didn't really get into the whole eye toy thing last gen... but I will DEFINITELY be buying this game. And since I'll have the new Eye Toy, I'll be more receptive to giving new eye toy games a try.
Exactly. Forge is a cool feature. But it's no where near the scale of creativity allowed by actually creating your own level or mod. Still it does add to the replayability of the game.

I'm wondering what regions this new sku is for. I'm thinking that part of the reason in the delay is the fact that they could not announce this until the depletion of the 60 GB... or else those might not move any more units.
Also, they might still be working on cost reduction in order to meet the wanted price point... and obviously they have less control over...
Perhaps you were the slow kid in math class... but there's still nearly 100M gamers that have NOT bought a 'next-gen' console yet. With the speculation being that most are waiting for a price drop on the PS3 along with more big games (a la MGS4, GT5 & GTAIV).
Well, the games are coming at a steady pace now... the only thing Sony has to work on now is getting the price right as quickly as they can. They may still win this war.
I'm thinking that it will almost certainly lose the wifi. But that actually isn't that bad. Ethernet bridges are more reliable anyway & have faster speeds than wifi... AND you still don't have to have a cables run from your router to your room in order to use one.
Well, I to own both consoles and can firmly say that the PS3 is my favorite. It definitely has the game line up that I'm most looking forward to this holiday. Outside of Halo and Mass Effect, EVERYTHING else is a multiplat game... so I find it hard to believe that their lineup is 2nd to none.
The three games that I'm looking forward to the most this holiday are all on PS3: Ultimate Tournament 3, Uncharted, & Ratchet & Clank: TOD!!!
