I would sacrafice 10... no, 20 virgins to see this happen!!!
I know the feeling! I am SO glad I caved in and bought a PS3... I'd cry if I wasn't able to play this game when it came out!!!
I was going to say the same thing! The game looks significantly better! I wonder what stage of development the game is in now... it was just in alpha last week!
Agreed. If this game does well I believe that it will start its own little genre. I definitely think we could see a yu-gi-oh title!
I've never been really big on card games either... in fact, the only ones I've played before were on pc. But I can tell you this... if you're at least INTERESTED in trying it, you'll be hooked! These type of games are very addictive once you learn them... more so than standard video games.
I think the game is going to be a hit amongst card playing fans (or those remotely interested), but I'm very curious to see how the actual sales will turn out!
I've never been really big on card based games but I do plan on buying this one, looks awesome.
Actually, the 360 has only had 2-3 AAA games a year that weren't multiplat. So even with it's current track record, a new console as early as 2009 would feel like a rip off.
If Microsoft came out with another console in two years, not only when they guarantee a loss for themselves this gen... they'd be setting themselves up to lose next gen also.
ALL three console makers are already planning their next gen console... plans on next gen systems typically begin immediately after launch of your new system. The fact that they're already planning one does not mean they plan to release it so early and it would be foolish of them to do so.
While there could be some truth behind this article, neither vgcharts or nextgenwars has been right in the past when it comes to the numbers.
And the PS3 was outselling the 360 in nearly every European territory just as little as a month ago... so this hardly "seals the deal" for the 360's victory. If true, it is good news for Microsoft but we need to see can they keep it up. Europe has pretty much belonged to Sony up until now & I'm skeptical of any major shift ...
Hopefully the camera is better in NG2... but yea, graphically they look pretty close but the animation looks much more fluid in NG2. However, I still expect that gfx to improve quite a bit before release.
Either way, I've come to terms with the fact that we're just not going to see any gfx that really dominate the PS3 come from the 360 anyway. The PS3 is starting to look really impressive.
Honestly, the only disappointment with this game is that there is not more of it. But the pacing actually feels pretty good... and even though you're left wanting more, it's so easy to pick up and play again just for the fun you had with it the first time through.
And I've never enjoyed a video game story as much as I enjoyed playing through Heavenly Sword... it's more the presentation than the story itself... but it rivals most rpg stories.
Definitely worth $6...
I mean the 360 is going to have plenty of great games regardless... but we've already seen in the last year that the games aren't really making any big improvements visually.
The same simply can't be said for a lot of the PS3 games... they are starting to pull apart from the pack in terms of visual quality.
But in my opinion, that doesn't mean they will win this gen. The xbox clearly had better visuals last gen and it certainly did not win last gen. There are g...
I very highly doubt that this news has anything to do with Microsoft or anything to do with exclusives. For one, no news concerning Microsoft would be big news, or even good news, in Japan. And number two, Capcom made it pretty clear earlier in the year that they do not intend to focus on exclusives any time in the near future.
Actually, it's just as fast as using Live. All of the locations and options that Home provides will also be available from the XMB for those ppl that don't feel like interacting with other players.
Actually, it's coming together quite nicely. My biggest concern was that Sony was not going to have all of these features in place when Home launched publicly... awesome to see they've already put them in place before the end of the beta! I'm looking forward to pool, the arcade, chess & bowling... and of course tricin out my apartment.
Think it's going to be awesome too that I'll be able to put a movie on my hard drive and my friends can watch it from anywhere in the world....
Yea, but SE is not the DEVELOPER of the game... they're merely publishing it in Japan. Microsft probably realized it was the only way it would sale or attract attention over there. I'm betting Microsoft will still publish in NA though... b/c obviusly we have no bias against buying their games.
Tri Ace is still a VERY capable developer though... my 2nd favorite video game to date is Star Ocean on the psone! So this will probably be a good game. In the meantime, I'm still looking...
No, they haven't officially pushed FFX III back... BUT every single FF game to date has received multiple date pushes before its release so it wouldn't be surprising.
But yea, LO should provide some old school rpg fun. The rpg I really can't wait to get my hands on though is White Knight Story... the combat system in that game looks like something truly new & fresh!
No.... I've been looking forward to LO too, but looking at this video it's realy not going to be a spectacular rpg. The graphics are pretty sweet but nothing else about it looks like anthing we haven't already seen. Which is cool... but it just means it won't be one of those games next gen rpg'ers have really been waiting for.
Both FFX III & White Knight Story look like they will have more to offer to gamers in terms of next gen gameplay but at least LO will be out during ...
Too bad MGS4, FFXIII, Haze, & UT3 are still exclusive though, huh? You lose that argument real quick... b/c none of the ps3's AAA titles have lost exclusivity besides GTA.
Unfortunately, your list just shows that the 360 will be losing much of it's steam after the release of Halo 3... I lot of the games to look forward to just end up being multiplats.
I actually think the sales of the system are go to slow down TREMENDOUSLY next year... I'm guessing they will only sell 20M - 30M again this gen, & that the 120+M PS2'ers are just waiting for the price drops. Because 10M in 2 years for a system that was out first just doesn't bode well.
