LMFAO!!! Gears doesn't come close to these Killzone screens... it's funny of folks to bring that up though. And of course these are all in real time... we've already seen the gameplay, it's available for download on the PS Store. The fact is, when the game is finally finished it will likely look even better. Either way, Killzone 2 is absolutely the best looking game I've seen so far.
As for Gears... why the hell are there people still trying to hang on to the graphics of this ...

Exactly, out of the five only two are even worth looking at! Still Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery will be good games. But ultimately, when it comes to rpg's, I'm still looking forward to White Knight Story, FF XIII & FF XIII VERSUS, Disgaea 3, & Star Ocean 4 on the PS3 more. Good to know that both systems will have rpg's to offer though.
Yea, the PS3 is certainly doing much better. But the first year is still going to haunt them this gen... only b/c they now have so much ground to make up. But personally I don't think they'll come in last... maybe 2nd at worst. The major thing is that the console is soon to be earning the respect it needs from the dev comunity and we should see better games as a result.
Not to criticize you... but you do know that you are contributing to the failure of both formats. Particularly the games. Less games sold means less developer support which less of the games that we bought our PS3's for. Considering how great Ratchet & Clank was... it's sad that it sold so few copies. Same for Heavenly Sword actually.
Yea, I doubt the numbers are accurate... but it still points to the general situation of the console wars. The PS3 is my favorite console at the moment but it doesn't look like it's going to pull ahead of the 360 this holiday (if at all in the US).
What the article states is that the 40 GB model will be the only one that is universal worldwide. The US may have a 80 GB while Japan has a 120 GB etc.... The article makes it clear that the 80 GB is not being discontinued and that the journalist may have misinterpreted something if he thought it was going to be. How are you guys missing that???
You guys did not read the article in its entirety. He clearly states that what the interviewer asked about the 80 gig is not true. He states that the 40 gig is the only one that will be universal WORLDWIDE. He says that the 60 GB is the only one being phased out... which we've known for months now. But the 80 GB is not being phased out.
You should change the body of this news as not to mislead ppl and start new internet rumors.

But anyway... the most surprising news here was actually Heavenly Sword to me. You don't usually see a game's sales more than double AFTER it's release... usually sales trail off. I'll be interested to see next week's sales.
Because Square already announced that it is for the PS3.
Anyway... the in-game screenshots were pretty small but the artwork looks awesome. I wonder if this will release outside of Japan though? I sure hope so... rpg's are hard games to import b/c there is so much text necessary to understand them. Especially a card based one... I'll be keeping my eye out for this one though.
I'm HOPING that KZ2 doesn't get pushed but I'm thinking it probably will... I don't mind as long as it's awesome when it comes out though.
Also, MGS is in April not March.
Insomniac really has an awesome team and has created two of the best games on the PS3... if you don't have them, you owe it to yourself to get them!
I didn't buy R&C as a day one purchase... just got it last week. And man was I missing out!!! That was my first Ratchet game & Insomniac has definitely got my $60 anytime they release a game from now on!
Yes, there are a few awkward transitions... but actually far less in this game than any other I've ever played. Which is saying something considering that there are more animations in this one than any other I've ever played. Definitely the smoothest animations I've seen in a game before... in addition to the enormous amount of animations they included to capture all of the little details. I'm picking up Assassin's Creed next week so I'll be interested in comparing the animations in that game...
Hard is AWESOME!!! I plan to beat the game on normal first, but I'm REALLY looking forward to playing the game again on Hard mode. It's definitely a different experience, lol.
I just can't say enough about the AI in this game... it's hands down the best enemy AI I have ever played against.

Well no... it won't last but I doubt it will drop back below 3k in just a week. We'll see though. Regardless, I think it is impressive that they were able to boost sells that much. And it will boost again when Lost Odyssey comes out. Unfortunately, I don't think there will be much momentum for the system after Lost Odyssey.
As for the PS3... I'm not sure it will see much of a boost in Japan until Dec. All in all, the PS3 will do well this holiday but probably won't see a consi...

Their demo did come out on time you nitwit! Europe was not supposed to receive it today. The U.S. was and did! It's freakin awesome. Just be patient and wait for it. You guys have alway gotten games later than we have (since the N64 & PS1), you should be used to it by now so get over it.
