I think A LOT of us love this game.
This would be a VERY smart move for Sony though, if they were able to make it happen. But I really don't think that the game was that far along for the PS3. I'd love to be proven wrong... but I don't think I am.
I'm not really sure how this ends up being good news??? There are already awesome FPS devs on other systems so Bungie is not needed on other platforms. And I don't see how it could be good news for M$ either... Bungie vitually saved them from dying last gen & probably this gen too.

Agreed. This is one of the best looking games I've seen this gen and it is truly bringing all aspects of the action genre together... from visuals, to story, to gameplay. Shaping up to be a definite must-have title.
I've put mine on pre-order as well. Heavenly Sword was hard enough to find the first week (I had to go to 3 different stores!).
Exactly, that's the point. Now xbots want to act as if this dev's word discredits the countless others that have actually worked on both systems.
Heck, if we're going to go on the word of console exclusive devs... Let's at least choose the one with the best looking game. In which case Kojima is absolutely correct... The PS3 is the most powerful system, the only one fully capable of acheiving his vision. The director of FF XIII said something similar last week.

And this is why ppl hate Microsoft fanboys... Because a developer that only makes games for ONE system is NOT unbiased. The fact that multiparty devs such as Epic comment on the PS3 being more powerful & hardly having its power tapped so far is more credible as they've ACTUALLY worked on both systems.
Also, he did not state that the systems were EQUAL in power... he said there was more to making games than tapping extra power & he did not THINK that most ppl would notic...
Actually, this game strikes me as one that TRIES to clone the gameplay of GoW but does not quite pull it off. It doesn't really look bad... just nothing that really looks awesome. But perhaps that's b/c we need to see more gameplay too... at any case, I'd at least rent it.
This is one of my most anticipated titles on the PS3. I wonder when it will be ready for release? I'm hoping no longer than summer '08... but it might be as long as holiday '08.
Well, you're wrong there... Unreal Tournament is guaranteed to get AAA, like pretty much every other title in the series. It's the ultimate online FPS game. Haze also stands a very good chance as well as Ratchet & Clank.
Why are you so insecure? The game looks better than both Halo 3 & Gears. Quite impressive really. It's not even a direct feed... it's an off screen recording and it still looks very sharp & crisp, that speaks to just how good the visuals in this game will be.
Heavenly Sword is FAR from mediocre... as the dozens of reviews have already told us. So this article is little more than flaimbait.
Furthermore, the idea that Uncharted, Haze, UT3, & the multitude of multiplats make up a line up of stinkers is really laughable. There are other exclusives coming which may be questionable... but even most of those look to be enjoyable.
This article is nothing more than an attempt to gain hits.
#1- The PS3 has over 5 million dollar sellers
#2- The 360 did not
Thanks for setting the fanboys straight! Sounds funny & all, sure... but there's really nothing to compare. The PS3 is actually a good systems with great games... The 3DO was LOL candy.

The point though is that titles on the PS3 keep looking better & better. That is not the case for the 360. There are games w/ good art direction but they are not 'wowing' with the graphics like the PS3 is.
I get your point... and although I was actually dissapointed by Halo 3 graphically, the devs did deliver on a familiar gaming experience. Maybe they just didn't want to stray too far from what they new??? And despite the game feeling like Halo 2 HD... it is still fun to play.
Nonetheless, Resistance, a first gen PS3 title, also had wide open vistas with perhaps even more enemies & action onscreen and absolutely NO stuttering framerate. Heavenly Sword looks better graphicall...
You seem a little desperate... everyone here knows that the ps3 is only $500 and that it will likely by $400 by the holiday. And considering that this article (and the note your responded to) are both looking more at 2008 and beyond... the PS3 will be at a mass market price by then ($300 or less).

Actually the article made some pretty valid points and was well written. Whether or not you agree with them is up to your own fanboyism... but as a 360 owner, I think they hit it on the money.
As I said above, the problem is that the system is about to go on its 3rd year and still has not produced anything that looks better than Gears. Meanwhile the PS3 has produced a couple of games on the same level within its first year out!!! Hell, Heavenly Sword surpasses Gears in quite a ...
The article is sure to start up some controversy, but the thing is that the author has a good point. The 360 will continue to have a few good games... but it seems as if its peak was reached with Gears! Nothing on the system has stood out significantly graphically since then except for Bioshock... and even that is moreso b/c of the outstanding art direction.
Not to upset the fanboys... I still think there will be good games to be excited about. But the system definitely won't c...
LOL, this is such BS... We KNOW that MGS4 is launching soon and that there has been NO development on the 360. So that is already in the bag as a PS3 exclusive... and even if they DID do a port, we're talking a 1-2 yrs considering that they haven't even STARTED working on anything for the 360 (and Kojima said that he will not).
And JUST last week the producer of FF XIII confirmed that it will only be made for the PS3 b/c it is designed for that hardware... the trailer once agai...

I do not think this news is true, but neither is your statement. There has not been any news that money was paid for the game to be released simultaneously on both systems. That is not how it generally works. Console makers pay for exclusivity not simultaneous releases. And that's what Microsoft paid for, exclusive content. Either way, we'll know for sure in a few weeks...
