You're not very good at math or logic. The 360 was out an entire year before the PS3. Since the PS3 has been out in Japan, it has outsold the 360 a minimum of 4 to 1 on the 360's best weeks... although most weeks it has been an average of 12 to 1! So yes, the 360 is dead in Japan.
Comparatively, with the exception of September, the 360 only managed to outsell the PS3 more than 1.5 to 1 two times in North America. So no, the PS3 is not dead in NA. And of course, the PS3 continue...
lol @ being proud of 3500 p/week. The 360 sales are just dropping again. They were boosted to 7000 following the release of Halo 3 but now they're trailing off again. The 360 is dying in Japan.... after the release of Lost Odyssey it will officially be dead.
Except more PS3's are sold on a weekly basis than both blu ray and hd-dvd players combined. And as a result, blu ray movies just continue to trounce hd-dvd sales.
The new $200 hd-dvd player is a good deal and could help to prolong the war. But most are slow to adopt it b/c hd-dvd is already considered dead amongst videophiles... and the public is shying away from ANY standalone player until a single format is deemed triumphant.
It was just the players... which makes this hardly newsworthy as neither standalone blu ray OR hd-dvd players are high selling items anyway.
And then there's the fact that even with standalone hd-dvd players outselling standalone blu ray players, blu rays continue to outsell hd-dvd's nearly 8 to 1.
It's not about picking Haze over those two titles... Haze offers a comnpletely different gameplay experience than either of those titles. And as a true hardcore gamer, I intend to own all three.
Have you been in a coma for the last few months??? Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm and Ratchet & Clank have all received rave reviews and are each selling well.
Your attempt at a negative spin fails miserably.
Yea, I think that we may see a delay in the game as it still has not gone gold. But it has not gone low key by any means... the game has consistently been in the media every week since before E3. And so far, most media outlets have plenty of good things to say about what they've seen so far. I do think they'll have the game out by Christmas... but I'd hope they at least address framerate issues in the co-op mode (while it is good to hear there are no issues in single player). I can even stoma...
I think that's going a little far... aside from the complaints in this article, there have not been any other complaints about the game thus far. Even this article states this is the first time they've noticed any framerate issues!!!
The only dissapointment to me are the lack of polish inside the hotel. The game has a tremendous amount of polish in the areas that have been shown so far (as also insinuated in the article)... so I hope that there are not going to be many areas th...
This really is the first brilliant PS3 commercial I've seen... I hope they buy a lot of ad time.
But I do hope they follow up with comercials that include gameplay & show off more of the awesome weapons (specifically the groovatron). We know that the grapchics really come close to a cgi match, but the public should see that the game looks just as good in motion!
No... no game based on a movie has ever been console exclusive.
I think it has more potential than Conan did. Aside from the fact that I never saw any of the enemies attack... I did like the combat elements I saw.
Exactly, the Disgaea games on the PS2 had PS1 graphics... and were easily the best rpg's on the system! This is a day one purchase for me!
You've never played any Disgaea games obviously... that's their signature art style. Even on the PS2, the games don't push any kind of hardware limits... they simply use a really fun art style and story that you enjoy playing through for hundreds of hours at a time. It will undoubtedly pack the deepest gameplay of any other rpg title just like the past two installments did. Disgaea 2 is the only PS2 game I still play on the PS3.
Wow... I am really looking forward to that one. I like what I've seen of the combat as well. Looks like a good buy.
I very highly doubt he's being paid but he does seem to have his own agenda. For one, if we hadn't already seen games that look much more impressive on the PS3... such as Uncharted, MGS4, & GT5... then I could buy his story on the PS3 not truly being more powerful.
But the other thing is that there have been too many other devs stating that there is a lot of untapped power in the PS3 that gamers will really begin to see in the next few years, most notably is Mark Reins fro...
Pleas... everyone on these boards know that the PS3 is coming out with more exclusive titles, and at a faster rate, than the 360. Both systems have some great exclusives but the PS3 simply has more of them... and more of the ones that I can't wait to play.
Quit being a fanboy. It makes you look really stupid.
I'm not sure who, if anyone, is actually attacking you... but if the gfx in Uncharted don't look amazing then no game really does. Assassin's Creed about as good in my opinion but Uncharted is definitely among the best looking games this holiday both stylistically and gameplay wise.
Actually the press release for Toshiba confirms that they are merely entering a joint relationship for producion of the chip... didn't even bother to check Sony's after seeing that confirmation.
You are incorrect. The Cell is indeed multi-core as the SPU's can be assigned ANY task deemed necessary by the programmer. The only difference b/w the cell & the traditional multicore (besides having way more 'cores) is the way which the spu's share memory usage & use the bus. It is for that reason that it cannot directly be compared to a multicore, but it does indeed have more processing power and flexibility than a traditional multicore. The downside is that its resources are much m...
Yes, on this we can agree. The sales ratio is critically important and in this area the 360 remains king. It is the system that consistently sales the most 3rd party software... this may be due to shoddy ports or what not, but for now at least it is a fact.
However, @ JsnHenry... the 360 hardly has the best library any longer. I don't own a Wii but I have a PS3 & 360... With the release of Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Unhcharted & Haze in Nov... I am e...
