After playing the demo this became a definite buy for me. As one of you already said... it's games like this that I buy Sony systems for.
It's like Battlefield on steroids... much more fun. I think you're definitely missing out if you don't purchase the game... but I for one liked the graphics and art style too though. It doesn't have the graphical power of Uncharted or Lair, but it really is a gorgeous game in HD. To the point that a lot of my friends were commenting on how good the game looked.
The hell are you talking about?! The game actually looks that good, I was in the beta. Plus, we've already seen gameplay vids showing us other games that look better than anything else out as well. Stop hating.
The PS3 is an awesome console. I bought it after getting tired of 360 returns myself. Couldn't be happier either. Not only are the games fun but the conosle just seems kind of classy... runs quiet, never any problems, and runs blu rays & dvd's VERY nicely. I love it.
The PS3 is console of choice now but I agree as well. I think that we will definitely see the Lair demo next week. And MAYBE HS if we're lucky. But I'm not so sure on all the rest.... It would make sense since the devs obviously already have demos ready & being played at E3. But they may not be demos that they're ready for the public to get a hold of yet. But I would be willing to murder Peter Moore for a chance at the Killzone 2 demo :-)
I do find this surprising. This isn't a game that I was really looking forward to seeing at E3... but only b/c I know what to expect and know that I'll already be buying it regardless. BUT the game was rumored to be ready for a fall release... so I do find it surprising that they wouldn't show it.
With Killzone 2 & Turok being rumored for September as well, it's going to be a busy month for FPS fans. These are all games that I'm interested in playing too... although this one is probably last on my list.
Yea, I'm not sure. It only seems ridiculous in this instance b/c nothing we've seen of the game seems to imply scope beyond last gen games. That and Sony has already shown off games of 'next-gen' scope in the likes of Uncharted & HS. There didn't really appear to be a lot of detail to the background or character designs of this game. I'm still looking forward to the game though, I'm a Naruto fan and this shows promise to be the best one so far... but I did sense some bs in his answer.
I think the problem is that it is going to be more than one 30 min cab right and once they arrive at their destination it will be hard to see anything b/c of limited space. Which in turn means that it may be harder for us to get the info we want on new games if the journalists have trouble getting their to view it!
Well perhaps we'll be seeing sales in Japan pick up after all... Looking forward to more info on some of these games so that I can import them :-)
This is the main problem I see with Sony's system right now. Aside from Assassin's Creed, GTA IV, & Mass Effect... ALL of the games I want for the rest of the year are PS3 exclusives! It's just a matter of them actually coming out!
The PS3's 'extra' development time was on the console and not on any of the games being made for it. At any rate, it was a very well written article... as it does well to point out that this is not the first time we're seeing this same scenario play out. Anyway, the power of the PS3 is already being made pretty evident & will be even more clear after next week. I bought a 360 last summer and can agree whole heartedly that there were no truly impressive games before last Nov. And with that...

Definitely looking forward to this game, can't wait for the demo! Having two anime with the game is awesome too... wonder how good they'll be.
The technical information on the animation,shading & lighting was pretty cool. Truly a testament on the power the PS3 will be bringing to gaming, awesome.
No, online for games like this, ngs, or heavenly sword would be pretty stupid. Online is great for shooters or strategy type games... doesn't fit action games very well. If there were multiple selectable characters that fit into the storyline, than an on-line co-op would be cool... otherwise, online just sucks for these type of games.
Actually MGS4 is still 2007 and FFXIII has been scheduled for 2008 since the launch of the PS3... so there aren't any delays there. However, a lot of their 06 titles were pushed into 07 and some of the 07 titles have seen pushes of a couple of weeks or more. I'm sure there will be a more solid idea of which games come out when after E3. But for now it appears that most of the major games are staying on schedule... I wouldn't put it past them to give us more delays but games releasing around t...
Actually those issues have already been fixed. The beta is pretty awesome at this point and we're told that the final code has been even further refined... so this game will be a definite purchase for me. It's already awesome with the number of maps in the beta... can't wait to see the new ones.
Sony already has games running smoothly at 60 fps... Resistance was a launch game & pulled it off top notch! So of course the issue is with the devs. If none of the devs were able to pull it off then we could place blame with Sony. But the truth of the matter is that we will still see a lot of devs porting 360 games to the PS3 until the userbase grows. But you all can have Madden & NCAA... Knowing that games like Haze & UT3 are being built on the PS3 and than ported down to the 36...
This should start some interesting flame wars. All I know is that I want Crysis to look the same on my PC as it does on all the screenshots & vids... Although I doubt it will :-(
