actually it seems to be pre-alpha! they have finished the single player level designs but have not molded each level together into a complete game yet... the lead dev said that they were focusing only on gameplay at this point & how the levels tie in to the story... they haven't even began to focus on polishing graphics or playtesting the game as a whole yet... still have nearly a year in development!
The most amazing thing about these screenshots is that they're the same ones from the magazine... and in the article Insomniac emphasized the fact that they have been focusing fully on gameplay and have not started to "pretty up the game yet"! Can you imagine how good this game is going to look once they've began to focus attention on polishing up the graphics!!!
Well early 2009 just sounds the most realistic. I'd love to see it in time for the holiday though!
FYI... Every Star Wars game, comic book, and novel is done in co-operation with George Lucas and his staff to make sure that all the stories connect.
Yea, I'm excited as well. The game looks AWESOME and it looks like it will play better than any other Star Wars game to date (as far as being able to control the power of the force). And all of the technology they are pushing under the hood is paying off... the reactions and animations are truly remarkable!!!

I have to disagree. I enjoyed the facial animations in Mass Effect but I was not generally overwhelmed by any level of textures or detail. Uncharted packed A LOT of detail not only in the characters but the environment as well... and the environment is really where Mass Effect pales in comparison. Plus, even when it comes to the most impressive textures/details for facials, that nod definitely goes to Heavenly Sword & UT3.
If screen tearing and texture pop-in were actually a problem you'd have a point. But since there has been absoultely no screen tearing after two playthroughs and texture pop in only occured twice throughout the entire game (same location both times too)... it really isn't a problem. Especially considering we've seen plenty of games, of lesser graffics, on the 360 that experience problems much more frequently. No game on any system is without its glitches.
Exactly. Bioshock looks better than this game for one. If you only have one console then you may be some what jaded on what good graphics are these days. But truly, over the last 3-4 months all of my games with the best graphics have been on the PS3, period.

This conversation has gone far off track, but Uncharted is undoubtedly the best looking game out. DMC4 is great looking too though. COD4 looks great, but hardly has the same level of detail and lighting effects. Mass Effect & Bioshock both look great and have great art style... but as far as graphics they don't really come close.
Anyway, I had my doubts about this game before playing the demo. Now I'll definitely be picking it up.
Yes, the 360 has a larger library but it certainly does not have a larger library of good games! I have both systems as well, and the PS3 DEFINITELY has a larger library of must have exclusives than the 360. My best games on the 360 are multiplatform (except for Bioshock).

Actually, FF X sold 7.95M. But either way, SE could not possibly sell those type of numbers with the current install base. So I think there is definitely some credibility to this article. The game would definitely sell consoles in each region... and if released in time for the holiday then maybe it will sell 5-7M then.
I have to disagree. Those were the best graphics I've seen so far. I'm not sure that the gfx will be that good in game... but if so, it looks better than Crysis and anything I've seen on consoles. I'd be interested to know if they can get the console versions looking that good!
True, but have you seen all of the new scans on finalfantasyversusxiii.net? There seems to be a LOT of new scans... I wonder just how far along this game is?! I think it's very likely that we'll see it come out in Japan in 08... hopefully it won't take TOO long for them to translate to english.
I wasn't expecting a 2008 release UNTIL it was announced that it was suspected to be released this holiday. That was pretty exciting news. Can you imagine the impact that GOWIII AND Resistance 2 would have for holiday sales!

All t.v.'s with hdmi do support full rgb. But there are some older/smaller hdtv's that do not support hdmi. However, most of us with hdtv's do have access to hdmi on our t.v.'s.
Actually, you're the one without a clue. The point is not whether it's 720p or upscaled to 1080i/p. The point is that even at 720p the PS3 produces a better picture if you use hdmi and set the rgb & superwhite settings to take advantage of the better picture that hdmi cables provide. Period.

This is freaking INSANE! First of all, we know that the game can't even be in alpha yet and those graphics look freakin SICK!!! Insomniac are officially the gods of gaming!

Yea, at least until you consider the fact that the 360 doesn't actually have better exclusives and games on the PS3 are already displaying better graphics than the 360 :-l.
The best exclusives are still on the PS3, period. Mass Effect is probably my fav game on the 360 right now... before that, Bioshock. Two awesome exclusives. But neither of them graphically compare to Uncharted. Ratchet & Clank is even more impressive at some points! Not to mention UT3, Warhawk, The Agen...
