Uhhh, exactly what is he delivering??? The screenshots are not nearly as impressive as most of us thought the game would be! I've watched the gametrailers vids and it looks kind of cartoony, not bad... just really cartoony.
Doesn't really look like enough to pressure Insomniac but the screens do look good. The visuals are very good looking, there just doesn't seem to be much on the screen at all though, in either pic! It'll be interesting to see how the final game shapes up... just hope the final game doesn't end up looking so plain.
I sure hope they move on to a different game engine for the next game.
And that's EXACTLY how I feel too... my only interest in this game is HOPING that they deliver on an interesting story. But the gameplay and the graphics look pretty subpar.
Don't worry, you're not the only one... the game certainly doesn't look like it holds up against games like NG, DMC, or Heavenly Sword. But I don't know... it still looks better than the previous gameplay vids & that's got to count for something!
I think they should be able to manage an 8.5... I hope. It still looks a little boring to me for some reason... but it definitely looks better than the earlier trailers.
My main concern is the look of the game though... the visuals aren't even nearly as impressive as I thought they were supposed to be. Last gen all xbox games pretty much played the same... this gen all 360 games pretty much look the same :-?
Wow, so the VG Charts numbers seem to have been WAAAY off then. Well, if this month's vg charts numbers can be trusted, then MS may have corrected things in Feb... Either way, this is AWESOME news for Sony, and if they can keep up the momentum then they will be recognized as the brand leader even with Nintendo's massive lead! Just b/c the Wii still does not really compete with the PS3 or 360 when it comes to games.
The first Fable was rushed out before all of Peter's ideas could be implemented... if this release date is true then this one will be a rushed mess as well. I already find it troubling that the game has been in development for so long and we still haven't seen any decent gameplay!!!
Well, GOW II had a sex minigame like that too... and no one even seemed to make a big deal out of it!!! I was surprised!
Odds are that the next two games come out on the PS3, but even if they don't they'll come out on the PC... which is good enough.
Well, I was so disappointed in the first game that my expectations are pretty low for this game. So yea... I imagine that the game may exceed them... I hope.
But I already don't like the sound of the one button combat and some of the ideas sound really overly ambitious. He may surprise me and actually make a good game though!
NCSoft has had some superior ideas, mostly for the unique twists they take with their games, but SOE has also come out with some of the best MMO's on the market. And quite frankly, The Agency is the most interesting MMO I've seen in a while... I'm really looking forward to it. So I think it's cool to have both companies coming up with fresh ideas.
The title probably should have read "Far Cry devs impressed by PS3"... that seems to fit the tone of the article a lot better.
The PS3 owns EU and Japanese markets AND every week the 360 is losing even more ground in NA... Even if the PS3 only outsells the 360 by approx 120k p/month up until the summer (and it WILL outsell it by more than that when MGS4 comes out), it will begin to outsell it more & more as we roll into the next holiday season. The PS3 outsold the 360 by over 1M this last holiday. If it outsells it by 2-3M this holiday, and 360 sales continue dropping in NA & EU, then it will surpass 360's to...
They only said that vehicles will play a bigger role this time... I'm hoping that means multiplayer but it's hard to be sure until they release more details. Although, with 60 player online, I kind of think that vehicles would have to be involved on some scale.
Yea honestly I've enjoyed the games on my PS3 more than any other system since about August when Warhawk came out... there have just been great exclusives on the system every month since. And this year seems like it'll be even better.
Man, this game is going to be so freakin awesome... I cannot wait until it releases. I'm hoping I get to take part in the beta before the release!
They have not claimed to be aiming for a Sept release... they've only said Fall of 08 which means it could land as late as November.
They have already confirmed that vehicles will play a bigger part this time around... they also confirmed that the Chimera will attack from the air, but I'm not sure if that translates into some arial combat for us as well! That would be awesome!
The game has lots of bloom... the lighting is second to quite a few games, most notably... Uncharted. And there are games already on the 360 & PS3 with equal or better textures. The game looks alright, it has it's own style. It looks cartoony but cool. Still, not as impressive as I thought from seeing tech demos and previous screenshots.
