Your rants about the X1 costing "more for less" are completely misleading and inaccurate, for the simple fact that the increased price has to do with the things like the Kinect and the HDMI-in port, features that have nothing to do with increased, graphics/processing power, and never has MS ever advertised the increased price for X1 was due to a claim to being more powerful than the competition.

The promotion for the event is using stock footage from PC. The event itself will be on X1 and show (obviously) X1 footage. It's sorta like when movie promos show scenes that aren't even in the actual movie - this isn't anything new in the advertising world... it may be misleading, but this isn't an MS thing, it's an advertising thing.

I agree. Using the term "xbone" for Xbox One, is completely unorthodox and goes against the traditional format for naming (or nicknaming) consoles.
Simple abbreviations has been the norm for virtually every gaming device.
Nintendo Entertainment System = NES
Super Nintendo Entertainment System = SNES
Nintendo 64 = N64
Playstation 1-4 = PS1-4
Nintendo Dual Screen = Nintendo DS

I've only gotten to lvl 6 on 360, and my game has crashed at least 5 times already...
Although there are those who cheat for the "lols" of trolling, many cheat to get an edge - think of it like using steroids in professional sports. Competition, or the "high" that comes from winning, is very self destructive and can be very addictive.
For all the "1080p is pretty standard" or "720p in 2013 is embarrassing," comments, does this mean any and all games that do not run at 1080p on PS4, should be chalked up as evidence as to why the PS4 is a failure? I mean, I see all the "pr-order cancelled" type comments for the X1 due to the 720p news, so should I/we be expecting the same sort of short-sighted extremism for less than 1080p games on PS4?

1080p is not some holy grail, official accomplishment that games must meet in order to be considered "next-gen." It is nothing more than an arbitrary technicality cooked up by the community, largely due to moving goalpost mentalities and over-expectations. Games that run at 1080p can actually be "less-gen" than games that do not, based on other arguably more important parameters.

And if your argument is claiming that Ryse started development on 360 and was simply ported over to X1, do you not think that any changes/improvements were made? Do you think they just used the 360's resources and left it at that?

Some of you seem to be extremely naive or overambitious with this arbitrary idea that 1080p is a "must" for next-gen. You guys really need to understand that although the console are "next-gen" (largely just a buzzword with no definitive meaning) they are still just $400-500 devices, not high end PC's. Some of you even go a step further, and include 60fps in your "demands," as if it's such meager feat to fulfill...To expect no...

better multiplats - opinion. Don' eve see how the same game can be "better" on one platform vs another, aside from something like exclusives DLC. If it comes down to poor porting/optimization, that is a fault of the devs, not the console.

Art is subjective by nature, and even more so when there are teams to root for... In comparisons like these, people will largely see what they want to see.
There also seems to be this confusion with specs vs visuals. Technically speaking, PS4 may have the upper hand, but that doesn't make it factual that their version of the game is better looking.
That's irrelevant - the point still remains that the "more for less" argument in this context, is inaccurate. You can disagree all you want, but it is what it is.

- "struggling framerate?" As you can can see in this vid, the framerate for both games is practically the same, keeping a constant 60fps a good amount of time, yet dipping below 60fps at times on both platforms.

Sony's cloud software is not as sophisticated as MS's Azure, and simply does not offer as much flexibility/features, or even coverage, at least not yet. Their main purpose for acquiring the tech was for streaming. This is one of the reasons why Titanfall is on X1 and not PS4:

Just because MS has Azure, doesn't mean it is mandatory that all devs use it...it is optional - a service there for those...
It's not "$100 more for less." The extra cost has largely to do with the inclusion of the Kinect, which has nothing to do with graphics/processing power. If the extra cost had to do with the addition of supposed more powerful hardware, yet resulted in samey/lesser results, then the "$100 more for less" assumption would hold merit. Essentially you are paying more for the X1 because you are physically getting more.

It does justify the price, because you get more in the box. The Kinect isn't free. The added HDMI-in port is also going to drive up the cost.
Why is it so hard for PS fans to grasp this concept? Even Sony said that if they included the PSeye with the PS4, it would have driven the cost up? This isn't rocket science, I'm really not seeing what is so hard to grasp here...
