"Why would I give a damn about a girls personality if all I want to be is have a good time and be entertained?"
- try having a good time with a woman with either no personality, or a bad one...it's quite the challenge. Personality is everything. An average looking girl with an awesome personality, always beats out a smokin' hot girl who is lacking one.

I see a reoccurring theme happening this upcoming gen where any multiplat game review doesn't paint the PS4 version as the clear, unanimous winner, is unprofessional bias and clearly bias....
I'm not speaking just for this site - the same mindset was shown when sites were saying BF4 looked looked largely identical on both platforms, and any site that leaned slightly in favor of PS4, was blown out of proportion by the community by stating the PS4 version looks "va...
This article might (a pretty big "might"...) actually have merit if it was speaking about 1080p vs 720p, like it tries to, but that isn't the case. When speaking about PS4 vs X1, it is a case of 1080p native vs 1080p unscaled.
Basically, the vibe I get from PS4 fans, is that poor performance issues cant trump higher resolution... That's like saying, "yeah she kinda has a crappy personality, but man she's hot..."
The reasons behind COD being 720p on X1, has more do to do with the developers and/or MS sending out drivers/dev-kits late.
You only need to look at a game like Ryse, which is more hardware intensive and is running at 900p, to see that COD running at 720p, just doesn't add up. You can add Forza to the argument (1080p native/60fps) for good measure.
competition is never good, it just appears that way because our culture is saturated in it, and more or less, it is all we know.

"More of logicfails... arent they two competing companies? You think they are going to hold hands and sing kumbaya?"
- You're really not seeing the point LOGIC was making, do you?...
Just because they are competing companies, doesn't mean "all bets are off" and they can just go at it like two teenage girls in a High School cafeteria. Cerny is still a professional, representing a huge multinational compa...

Something that you mention but didn't even pick up on is that Sony simply owns Gaikai, whereas Microsoft developed Azure.
So you have a case where one company simply purchased tech to run with their hardware, from an outside company, vs a company that developed it's own software, to run on hardware which was also developed by them. Also, games such as Forza 5 and Titanfall, are already utilizing MS's cloud tech, for more than just dedic...
I think the point many are missing, is the fact that he's wrong at all.
If you're going to make accusations, especially bold and/or controversial ones, and not be 100% accurate, then the community should be skeptical of everything you say, especially considering, what exactly are his credentials?
From what I know, he isn't developer, nor does he work with Sony or Microsoft.

"Quick question @WB did we know about the X360 RROD before or after :/ oh yeah it was after lanuch so as far as im concerned nothing is proven until all the Consoles are out "
- Well if you're concerned nothing is proven until consoles are out, why are you convinced that CBOAT is right about his claims? Going with your mindset, wouldn't it be more reasonable to wait until the consoles launch to credit/discredit anything he says? See...
He about the same success rate as prayer...
Yes there was... The device has a release date for a reason. Stop approaching it from a personal/emotional standpoint, and view it for what it is - a business standpoint.
Those people chose to use their consoles early. They also chose to post pics and vids online, which is likely the bigger issue.
That's not really the point though. I'm not claiming that the X1 is as powerful as the PS4, even with proper optimization, but more so that a big part of the problems lie with the developers and not the hardware itself. This goes for both platforms.
I don't care if one console is more powerful than the other, I just want developers to fully utilize what is available to them.
"But the truth is that I get asked are we using 100 per cent of the box? Of course we are. Everyone is. Even people who are upscaling are still using 100 per cent of the box. What happens over the course of years is that we get better at tricking the box into doing what we want. It’s optimisation.
"We had more time so we’re very well optimised and we will continue to optimise this game. If you think about Forza 2, it was a well optimised game, but Forza 4 looked a l...
It's not really up to Sony. If hackers want to hack it, it really just comes down to how bad they want it.
I think that had a little to to do with people actually wanting to hack the 360...
The fact that they are a tech site is irrelevant. They can still speak their mind, even if it doesn't coincide with their forte. Just because they are tech-based, doesn't mean that they have to believe that tech/hardware is going to be the key factors in the "console war."
Franky, I believe they are right - the brunt of the war will be fought with software and services, "software" as in "games," and "services" as is well, the m...
I'm sure many people can tell the difference between 1080p and 720p, but that isn't really the case here. The case here is 1080p native vs 1080p unscaled - now the gap is closed substantially. I'm not saying people still can't see the difference, I'm saying that at this point, it's largely negligible.
Resolution likely won't be the differences people see, it will be the details, like draw distance and AA. One version very well may/will look better ...
Many publishers give studios creative control, including the nefarious Microsoft and EA, among others. Sony does not hold exclusivity on giving developers creative control.
When Bungie was initially with MS, they were a 1st part studio, wholly owned by Microsoft. After the restructuring at MS, they were 2nd party, meaning MS owned a stake in the company and would help finance Bungie's future games in the interest of retaining exclusivity with the studio.

It is rather entertaining, considering it is pretty common on PC for competitive players to turn down their video settings to maximize performance, since from a competitive standpoint, framerate trumps visual quality.
