The Scorpio won't have Kinect and they will have AMD tech that launches in early 2017 (Vega + Zen based??). I expect a discount on the hardware from AMD since it again might be a semi customized APU-like SOC with a large quantity of order. So even with a UHD player MS could make some small profit per unit or at least comes out w/o loss.

Scorpio for me, since I have no interest in Sony consoles. I want to go all 4K and HDR next year with my home entertainment, so the Scorpio release will be the date I update my living room :)
Nevertheless I am also interested to see if the NX will innovate the gaming landscape again, like the Wii did. A surprise there could sway me to get a NX too.

Unless they fix the audio lag of the guitar-sound I am never going to buy another Rocksmith. Even after adding a digital to analog audio converter via optical audio from the xbox directly into my guitar amp, there still is a slight lag.
Be aware of this problem as it really kills this otherwise great learning game!!
Read the actual interview, Greenberg never states anything on closing the gap. He talks about what they are doing to please the Xbox gamers. It is just another headline that tries to tickle the fanboys...

IMO it is the perfect positioning. For my hands it feels significantly more comfortable than with the DS4. I can't play with two analog sticks so close next to each other.
For my taste Xbox has the best controller. The day one Xbox One controller is awesome and MS improved on its design with every itteration so far.

Yeah, unfortunately the conservative wing in Germany always tries to spin, that people that execute such tragic gun rampages like in Munich have been heavyly influenced by violent games. As if that was the cause and not the assassins phsychological problems....

Ah, the quarterly "doom and gloom for Xbox" comment section is in town. Is it that time of the year already.
Since I can take my games library with me thanks to X86 architecture and BC, and since MS said all the accessories will work too (looking at you Kinect and Elite Gamepad) this will be a no brainer for me to trade in my X1 for the Scorpio.
But I will wait and see if those promises really come true.
2017 will be a sad wallet year since I am making the jump to 4K with the Scorpio arrival (new TV and AVR), so trade-in programs are very welcome to me :)

Surely the One S has a slightly altered design due to SOC shrink and other processes involved in the evolution of the SOC fabrication process that might lead to an increased power impact. In general the One S won't make X1...
As MS said before: all in the hands of the devs. If a game has locked 30 FPS Scorpio won't change that, unless the devs patch the game. Only thing I see happening without patches is games that where struggling to maintain 30 or 60 FPS will be at constant 30/60 FPS.
