I'd say PS4 has the edge with an awesome UC4, but Xbox QB follows closely. So basically a matter of preference.
And for the record I refuse to count those Indy titles that apparently everybody plays and everybody try to treat as AAA games. I do not care about Indies, I play some of them if they are fun but I never will count them in such statistics. If you like indies you should play on PC anyway...
Thank you! I too don't get how people try to spin Microsoft expanding their gaming business and offering two new hardware SKUs to articles like the above one or any kind of "MS tries to spin off Xbox" nonsense.
Devs are already handling PC as lead platform most of the time and Xbox still has just two fixed hardware specs with Xbox One and Scorpio. With all the scalability (DX12 as a tool) that won't generate much more work for devs.
TBH I really like the design of the Xbox One. It is a classic and simple design fitting perfectly into my home cinema environment next to my AVR. I don't like any kind of design that makes it look like a toy.
I hope they keep it like that for the Scorpio. I also like the design of the Xbox One S, my only gripe is the colour white, but only cause it doesn't fit in my living rooms colour scheme. Otherwise I could go with white.
With the release of Scorpio I am going to make the jump to a 4K TV (and 4K AV receiver). So I will go Scorpio.
reminds me a lot of Ryse, only way easier. But I gues that is because it is easy mode. If this game is at least as fun as Ryse on legendary difficulty I am in for another great action packed hack and slash game with nice combos☺
In terms of sticking to X86 architecture and thus using the opportunity to have build in backwards compatibility I would say yes, this is the end of generations, finally we can have an ever growing games library that will carry over on every follow up hardware.
For hardware I would say we are heading down the right lane too, as long as they keep the HW iterations in a 3 years or 4 years cycle, with the ambition of having lower quality versions of new games with the old HW. ...

Giving FH2 a bad review shows that they do not glorify everything from MS and do not automatically downplay everything from Sony.
I just wanted to point that out and also the fact that all gaming mags in the end are writing subjective opinion pieces (some more neutral than others) and you have to take reviews and informations with that in mind.
yeah right... that is why polygon gave FH2 a 7/10!
Polygon gives bad reviews in general. There is no preference of Sony or MS. Only problem is, fanboys get butthurt pretty fast if games from their favourite system get bad reviews or no "in glorious 1080p" articles.
Take gaming mags for what they are:
- click-bait attention seeking for add-generated revenue
- excentric reviewer, although they are not
- overhype reviewer
Got the invite this morning and changed my preview registratiion status. Now I await the new juicy update :)
Of course it has been shown in that trailer. Since they showed that trailer last year I am hyped to explore Toussaint :)
I respect your own opinion man but I completely disagree.
mild spoilers of HoS story:
The story missions are awesome and funny with the wedding, the vault, the "timetravel" and the final mission if you choose to help Olgierd. Alone the character design and dialogues of Olgierd and O'Dimm are worth the playthrough.
There also is the Ofieri rune word craftsman and a new map area with some new enemy types. Also meeting Shani and again find...
If you build your consoles around an unified OS (Win10 i.e.) and create games based on the same system architecture (X86) and maybe release a new console with better specs every 2 or 3 years it actually is a great idea IMO. You would gurantee bc for every itteration of your console.
I mean look at the leaps we will see with AMDs upcomming Vega and Zen chips or NVIDIAs Pascal and whatever Intel is doing. Next year we will see a huge power gap between consoles and PC if we don't s...
This "war" has been stupid from the beginning and I am glad it lost its traction in the media attention. Only petty fanboys seem to clinge on it!
I take a "vacation" from the division. Played it extensively for a month but the bugs drove me away.... Unfortunately I already bought the season pass, thus I hope for some nice additions and adjustments for the upcomming patch 1.2 and the first DLC. I want that game to make me come back as it is a nicely done game at its core with great game mechanics...but all those bugs!!!....
COD4 MW to date is still my favourite COD and I would like to play it again. It had the best campaign story line. So I am interested into looking how this remastered version turns out to be! I generally only play the campaign of COD, cause of its action filled presentation. It is like playing an action movie.
LOL, yeah the currently second most important console-gaming platform is dead in the water *facepalm*
Solid 1st party studios, great 1st/2nd party games, full big budget game dev support, ok-ish indy dev support through ID@Xbox, constant system software updates, 20+ million userbase, growing Xbox Live userbase and great perspective with Cortana/UWP/PC crossplay/-buy says otherwise!!!
PS4 is doing extraordinary good with its world wide high brand recognit...
gamesradar is citing an old ubi-forum comment from Natchai ( http://forums.ubi.com/showt... He already clarified that they aren't punishing exploiters but will find ways to punish future exploiters. There are no bans and my guess is they may ban future exploiters for max 3 days as they do with cheaters.
As for the code of conduct:...
Gamingbolt at its best again, lol. Isn't it of yet clear why small indy devs have to make decissions since they have limited resources. And since PS4 offers a better sales opportunity it is clear why he takes that path first. But that doesn't reflect on the Xbox in general. It is one indy game most people haven't even heard about and gamingbolt (and some fanboys) is (are) trying to make it a AAA hugh loss scenario, lol *facepalm*
If you are into such indy games, go PC or ...
I really like The Division. It is a fun game with interesting mechanics.
BUT all these bugs are destroying it. You can't go into the darkzone anymore since all the exploiters are so OP you do not stand a chance. You have to be in a full squad to enjoy the DZ (but even then you get slaughtered by sentry gear set OP groups every few blocks if the servers are busy).
Since patch 1.1 everyone is treated like a treasure goblin from Diablo 3 and it turned the DZ into th...
Why should they?
Great campaign with up to 4 player co-op, with pretty demanding gameplay on legendary difficulty. I had lots of fun reaching the lone wolf achievement and also in co-op. There has been so much happening on screen, lots of enemies and great atmosphere.
Clearly the story could have been a tad better but all in all solid and good at least.
Multiplayer has the best multiplayer gameplay so far IMO. So balanced, you realize pretty soon...
