This is a "collection" of upgraded games (two of the best games of last generation, mind you), and it'll likely be at a $30-$40 price point.
So, SURE! They're the biggest hypocrites of this generation by upgrading two amazing games and putting it on one Blu Ray disc. Errr.....what?
Well this is obvious. PS3 owners have been saying this for the past two years, but the "other guys" have joined up with the Wii's battle-cry by saying "Graphics don't matter!!! It's all about immersion and gameplay!!!" because they know the graphics on their machine simply cannot compete (just like they used to brag about Metacritic scores, but once the PS3 conquered that, they were quiet, and just like they used to brag about exclusives, but once the PS3 beat them in that...
Creativity isn't dead on consoles, but it's certainly not being appreciated. Yeah, websites can complain about "Generic Brown FPS #2,199", but when they turn around and give it a 10/10 score, they aren't really helping the problem, now are they?
People forget that the "press" who hate the PS3 are Western journalists and mostly American journalists. You don't see this same level of hate for the PS3 in other territories.
People also forget that this same "press" was the one last generation that said the Xbox would dethrone Sony and that it would be the best console and highest-selling console of the generation.
And people also forget that bias is prevalent in many circles of the press, not ...
The R&C games have always been solid. I can't wait to play this new one. It definitely shows that the PS3 has the quality and variety true gamers are searching for.
So when Rare says it, it MUST be true.
After all, they've been the industry leaders when it comes to graphics, physics, and innovation over the past 10 years, right?
Oh WOW! Stop the presses!
So, some PAID ADVERTISING circulars aren't pumping up the PS3? Gee, what is the world coming to? I mean, what kind of world do we live in when you have to PAY for advertising?
Crazy!
Y'know, you all can argue about "convenience", but 360 owners have absolutely, ABSOLUTELY no right or say when it comes to convenience, because they do not understand the concept.
Why? Because for all the boasting you might do about the "convenience" of integrated Netflix or the "convenience" of integrated game invites, on the same hand you claim to not at all be bothered by the brutal inconvenience of having your console overheat, scratch discs, mel...
Watch this article hit the front page and get approved.
Yet, if the title was "Desperate 360 fanboys", it would fail approval in less than 5 minutes.
Gotta love N4g. Especially gotta love the people who still claim N4G is a haven for so-called Sony fanboys.
Interesting...
So I guess this means in about...*checks clock*...45 minutes we will see 4 new articles here on N4G with the title "But but but but multiplatform games are still better on 360, right?".
@ above
Those who believe this are as naive as those who believed the PS3 was in a sales slump in the first place...
Microsoft's "PR spin" budget is bigger than all the RRoD repair costs and all the advertising costs for Halo 3, Gears 2, and Fable II combined.
This is worse than when Microsoft announced Avatars and claimed they were thinking about it "long before Nintendo and Sony"
Y'know, journalists have always griped about how the PS3 has "SOOO many SKUs and it's SOOO confusing", yet the 360 has several more SKU varieties on the market...
It's a smart move for Microsoft to trim down the variety amongst their units.
Only six?
Goodness. You're absolutely right with Bioshock. I'm amazed it wasn't included on the list. For such a fun game with a great twist, the ending was pathetic. A 30-second video clip? Whoop-dee-doo!
And you're also right about Fallout 3. Bethesda promised over 300 ending variations that would change depending on what you did in almost every location, but I guess I'm the only guy who remembers them saying that MULTIPLE times about 1/2 a year before the game came out.
The funniest video games -- IMO -- are the various adventure games I've played over the years.
But video games can be unintentionally funny. The physics engine in Half Life 2 is only one such example.

"YES if Natal can bring something new to FPS genre, why wouldn't *Gamers want it"
So, where were you when Metroid Price 3's controls "brought something new to the FPS genre"? Because that game certainly did bring a new and refreshing take on the FPS genre.
See, it's not that I don't want people to support Natal. That's fine. The thing that gets me is many of the Natal supporters (hardcore 360 fans) are the same people who mocked...
Why is that good? I'd rather have a developer cater to a specific style of gamers with each game than dumb it down to the lowest common denominator so that 7-year-old Billy can play it online against me. Why cut corners for the "casual audience" if it is supposed to be a hardcore game?
Microsoft's "ace in the hole" was price. Their cheapest unit was half the price of the cheapest PS3. So, that was a big deal.
But now, spending $100 more than the Arcade looks pretty tempting to most consumers. Microsoft has been caught with their pants down, since now the PS3 and 360 are on a level playing field as far as price, the lack of studios and poor hardware quality of the 360 is going to stand out even more.
But Crackdown at #1? I wonder how many people have actually PLAYED Crackdown recently. Yes, it was a fun game for its time (a time devoid of any superhero or openworld games), but today? It's pretty bland and you level up almost all of your skills in about 25 minutes...
