Because PD was constantly talking about being "the DEFINITIVE racing sim" and "the ONLY racing sim shipping this generation", right?
The game isn't so far from release.
Seeing these screens shows that - graphically - Forza 3 cannot compete. Hey, don't get me wrong. Forza 3 has been getting good reviews, but even those reviews say that the graphics could have been a bit better.
8 out of 10? I guess it's better than that other Gamereactor score of 7/10.
But then again, who knows if Gamereactor has "teh bias"? But how could they? I mean, they gave a "fair" score to Uncharted 2 (an 8/10) according to some people on this site, didn't they? *wink wink*
Yeah, it makes me wonder, too.
I know that it's common practice for Microsoft to BASH the competition instead of actually BEATING the competition, but it makes me wonder if they're really going to stick to their promise to keep the 360 going "one day longer than the PS3".
Just let your game do the talking and don't brag, especially when the PSP version of GT has twice as many cars.
Looks pretty neat. I've played the fan translation of the original SNES version of this game and it is SWEET.
It's weird how a lot of people clamor for a good old-school RPG yet the Dragon Quest/Warrior series is largely ignored here in the West.
@ sarick
I don't see why game installs and crappy OSs have anything to do with actual gaming. Last time I checked, plenty of console gamers were fine with glitches shipping in their final games, hardware crashes, RRoD, and problems caused by firmware updates...
Well, PS3 has a solid lineup of games. Uncharted 2, R&C: Crack in Time, and Demon's Souls are all top-grade games unlike anything else available right now.
Ouch. So who do I trust? Gamereactor or IGN?
EDIT @ mint royale: Gamesreactor gave Uncharted 2 an 8/10, so why should I trust them? It's sad that you keep tabs my "bias" as if you're championing some great cause.
Mint Royale, you should play games, do your homework, and get to bed on time. I'll make whatever comments I want.
When it boils down, PC does offer the best value, EVEN IF you end up spending much more on it than a current-gen console.
The main reason why is because PCs are not restricted to the current console generation. While Wii, PS3, and 360 owners are constrained to limited backwards compatability and whatever happens to end up on their download shops, PC can play virtually ANY PC game from ANY era. Wanna try Doom? Go ahead. Heard nice things about Total Annihilation? Give it a spin. W...
Interesting how people are ignoring this top-notch game when it comes to "teh console warrrzz". People are all too happy to argue about Halo ODST, Forza 3, and Uncharted 2, but they neglect this AAA RPG that is unlike anything available on the other consoles this year.
NICE! Great score. Glad that they made this a AAA game for racing fans instead of "just another sequel".
Nice to see Zack & Wiki on the list. I know it wasn't everyone's favorite, but the old-school point-and-click adventure gamer inside me couldn't get enough of it.
I have to take this with a grain of salt, considering how his retail chain would benefit if the PSP-Go was a failure.
Yah Activision, the modern wannabe "EA Sports".
Don't support these clowns with your money.
Just like how Japan only matters when the 360 outsells the PS3?
@ Montrealien
It's sad that I take "those people" seriously? By "those people" are you referring to the top Microsoft execs who bashed Home and claimed that Miis actually came AFTER Microsoft's concept for Avatars?
Yeah...it is pretty sad that I take them seriously.
He should talk about why Forza 3 has fewer cars than the PSP version of GT.
Console sales kinda do matter, but just a quick history lesson...
No one cared about console sales, attach rates, Metacritic score, and all of the fanboy nonsense that journalists write about these days UNTIL Microsoft entered the console market.
Fact.
EDIT @ SpoonyRedMage
Yes, Metacritic is a newer thing, but review scores for video games have been around for quite a long while, so my point still stands. You didn't really hear execs braggi...
Yeah, especially when they're implying that a multiplatform game made by EA will be better than a game from one of the best series of all time utilizing graphics and physics technology that has yet to be seen this gen...
If legit, that looks stinkin' SWEET!
Seems like some sort of Burnout game taken to the next level.
