Show off something new, developers! I've already seen E3.
Wasn't this supposed to be an exclusive upcoming feature for the 360?
Ooops.
Hulu is nothing too special, though I do find it funny that Hulu Plus was exclusive to the 360 for like 10 days before it was also announced for the PS3.
Well, then Sony and Nintendo agree on 3D. Now it's time for M$ to play catch-up (again).
But I don't see how $200 glasses and $1800+ TV screens is going to make gaming more accessible. More awesome? Sure. More impressive. Sure. More accessible? I thought we were trying to break the myth that only nerdy millionaires can afford the best that gaming has to offer.
That's why I put more hope in the 3DS.
Cerebral Bore was sweet. I wish they brought back Turok in a not-stupid way. The concept of fighting against both enemy soldiers and hostile natural environments is cool.
Wait what?
They're not bringing any new games. How is that amazing?
The order of the list is obviously an opinion. I'm just glad to see KZ2 on the list, since many journalists would rather believe that the game never came out and subsequently made them eat crow for surpassing expectations.
Rare should focus on making good non-Kinect games before they go on boasting that they can make hardcore Kinect games. Rare hasn't released a solid game yet this generation, I'm sorry to say.
I'm honestly glad that he put real exclusives on the list, not PC/360 games such as Mass Effect 2.
And Lost Odyssey is a stinkin' great game. I didn't like it at first but the more crappy RPGs I see come out this generation, the more I have to admit that LO is top-notch.
This is stinkin' sweet! Though I didn't understand why people hated on KZ2 for not having co-op: most FPSs don't have co-op these days.
But anyway, I was already excited to play KZ3. Now I have even more of a reason to get it Day One.
So, the $150 to $200 confirmed?
That's twice as much development time as the launch 360.
I kid. I kid.
It's good to see they put in the time to make sure the 360 S was a (relatively) solid piece of wardware.
Reviews have been tainted for years. Publishers know that they help sales. That's why you have high review scores for industry giants like GTA4, Gears of War 2, and Halo 3 when those games suffered problems that other games would be heavily marked down for - things like graphics, glitches, "lack of innovation", and so forth.
Why is that anything special?
Where's "Microsoft forgot that E3 was for gamers, not 7-year-old girls" on the list?
Doesn't make sense to me. I guess Microsoft doesn't want their gamers paying two subscription fees at the same time...
@ below
I hear what you're saying, but last I checked Microsoft has been losing and closing 1st-party studios, not building them.
Sony is not painting itself into a corner. It continues to expand and grow all aspects of the PS3. I can tell you who HAS painted themselves into a corner. Here are some hints:
- Has closed and/or lost nearly 2/3rds of the first-party and 2nd-party studios it had when this generation began
- Has lost nearly every key employee who worked on their game system from the last generation
- Has had over 1/4th of its exclusives later released on comp...
Corrected: Achievement score junkies.
Entertainment junkies probably won't eat this up. Microsoft is just spewing PR so that its shareholders won't commit suicide. Gamers will continue to say the same thing that they've said about Wiii's motion controls - though Kinect is even LESS accurate than the Wii - for the past three years.
EDIT: And I'm with HolyOrangeCows. It's ignorant to think only haters are hating on Kinect. I actually wa...
So now hardware reliability matters all of a sudden, when before it was "Oh, the hardware is crap but 360 has teh best games!!!"
Not that I trust any test conducted by Gofanboy anyway, but...
Is that good or bad?
To me, it sounds like a clever way of saying "behind the scenes, someone has handed us a wad of cash for exclusive DLC".
